Fun Fact: The Ghost Ship is actually the remains of one of the Koopaling Airships from Super Mario Bros. 3. This is confirmed by Super Mario World's instruction booklet.
Super Mario World is easily my favorite in the Mario Franchise. I think I fell in love with, at the time, how much more realistic the characters felt. From there it was playing it over and over and over. Thank you for making this video for people who really don't know this game that well.
The coin dropping cloud is just another way to get 1ups it drops 10 coins and if you collect them all it will then drop a green mushroom. Also you can hold up while riding yoshi to keep him from ducking while using his tongue. Otherwise EXCELLENT guide as usual. Don't ever stop
I'm honestly surprised that, given how insanely thorough he was with the rest of the game, he never made that connection. I mean, surely he should've done it by accident, simply by trying to collect as many as possible, just for an extra challenge while playing through the stages for the 100th time.
So "Tubular" was the bane of my existence for what seems like many, many months of my childhood. I felt like a freaking Rockstar when I finally beat it. It was nice hearing someone whose opinion I trust say that it's difficult. I did manage to beat it while preserving my Yoshi on my next to last playthrough. It took a lot of re-trying and trial-and-error but it definitely is possible. My last try, I got bored before I accomplished it because I knew I had already done it before.
I too grew up poor and didn't have many games, let alone the systems as they were new. I don't think I got a SNES until Mario All Stars with World came out in the bundle with the console. It really made you appreciate the one or two games that you were able to afford.
I always liked this game but 6-7 year old me couldnt beat it when I was a kid. I bought it on wii shop years ago to someday come back too, saw this video and decided to give it another try… Finally beat the game this morning much to the delight of my 3 year old daughter who absolutely loves Mario and the Princess. Only took me like 30 years. Thanks for the help. Haha
UCBVG: Now this room is called the Moat and you can easily clear this room early by doing a well timed wall jump. It's considered a very diificult speedrunning strat, but maybe, oh, wow I got it on my first try. Lucky me!
I'll be honest, I thought the Credits Warp trick was going to lead to a sponsor. "And right when Yoshi swallows the coin, you'll see... that this video is sponsored by RAID SHADOW LEGENDS." I would've laughed so hard.
bro, your channel has been around long enough that i spent the last 2 or 3 days watching your videos at work - and i work 11 hour days and not just 'all your videos', the videos i like. That's how much content you have, and imo, good or excellent content - thank you for what you do :)
As I mentioned in previous videos, it is nice to just be able to sit down and watch these walkthroughs for nostalgia. I don't always have the time (or patience in some cases) to play through the full games, but being able to just relax and watch it with every level played is just awesome. Keep up the good work and I look forward to more nostalgia as you keep working on more of these! 😊
SMB3 was my favorite too, I loved the variety and consistent themes of the worlds. Plus, climbing a tower to the clouds was awesome, as was fighting through all of Bowser's army in world 8. At any rate, it's nice to see all of the exits - your guides are always so thorough.
An absolute masterpiece of a game. Truly one of the highlights of my childhood gaming career, For whatever reason the end credit music of this game pops in my head on occasion despite not having played it in years. If you need me ill be on my switch playing SNES games for a bit after this one.
Now 43, you trigger so many memories of my 12 year old gamer self during the NES/SNES golden era of gaming sweating through these games with my little brother. Amazing job, are you similar in age? You seem very familiar with all NES/SNES era games.
You can go back from the post-Special World swap by going through the Special World map to the Star Road at the end again. If you use the Star at the end of the Special World, it'll take you back to the original version of the game.
The mechanics of the final fight against Bowser are almost identical to the final fight against Montana Max in "Tiny Toon Adventures 2: Trouble in Wackyland" on NES. He was flying in a blimp and you had to throw back his own bombs at him.
I just beat this game with all 96 exits! Thanks for what you do, man. This is like the fourth game I've beaten with your help. (Also completed ducktales, and castlevania 1 + 3). You have helped me enjoy my hobby so much more.
1:05:31 Kootie Pie in castle #6 has sung her last song. Mario must meet the challenge that is now before him. There is a sunken ship that appears to be a gateway to the valley of Koopa.
There's a neat and fun little trick you can do for extra lives in Forest of Illusion 3. You can take a Bomb-omb and kick it upwards through the other bubbles. The collision on the bubbles is so wonky it counts as multiple collisions, so if you manage to hit more than one bubble with its trip back to the ground, you will get a couple extra lives for your trouble.
I knew most of (99%) of these fun tricks and cheats already which are still a lot of fun to do today. I mainly watched because you always make it fun to watch how U can beat video games! All of these games I grew up playing are just as fun today as they were back in the day and have to admit most of the games in our day still hold that magic "good feeling" about them that games of today really lack in. My biggest thrill and wait was for one of the greatest (my favorite too) of my childhood, "The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past" and that game is still rated among one of the greatest games of all time by gamers, and rightfully so!
First time I fully completed the game. Thank you so much. Such a great game that I've played a ton as a kid. Just finally got around to completing it :)
Wow this really really takes me back. Those last 2 worlds I could never figure out how to get to those secret areas but managed to find everything else, except the special world. I didn't have a lot of games growing up so I played this one a lot. I dont think modern games have the same amount of hidden and extra content as this.
Wow, that credits warp glitch is so beyond ridiculous and convoluted that it makes the 'Secret of Mana' extra-sword-orb glitch (which allows you to craft and use the Mana Sword as a regular weapon) look very reasonable and super easy to do by comparison! Major credit to you for having the patience of showing that off, I certainly would not have had it for that one.
Fwiw, I've always called the 'brown lava' in the chocolate zone 'boiling water' until my little cousin pointed out it's probably boiling CHOCOLATE. Good spot, formerly little guy! Also damn impressive video, I love your work and you deserve more subscribers then 150k!
Chocolate Island 4 has what they call a "killer" corner at the very beginning of the level. The top right corner of the ceiling right at the beginning goes down, then goes at a 45* angle. As small Mario, if you manage to hit that particular corner just right, the game will pull Mario into that corner, and crush him.
Just found your channel and OH MY GOD! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! as a young boy back then spending countless days / nights & family gatherings lol trying to beat Super Mario seemed Impossible but thanks to your wonderful guide I manage to beat the game once and for all including all 96 exits, You've gained a Subscriber for life!!!! Once AGAIN THANK YOU!!! keep up the amazing work really looking forward to your future content
39:23 Mario found his way through the forest of Illusion and has put an end to Bully of castle #5. Onward to the dangerous (but tasty) Chocolate Island!
Thank you for making these videos. They're super relaxing and even though I have played this game so many times since I was a kid, I still learn a lot of stuff. I've been having such difficult times lately and these videos help with my anxiety. Thabk you so much ❤
This series was great and very thorough, the only things that I saw that were missed were: In Vanilla Dome Ghost House: at the beginning after the round of ghosts, if walk across the top platform, middle platform, middle platform, then go back left to the bottom platform, a 1 up spawns (never new about this one till I looked at the full map online) In Valley of Bowser 2: after you get out of the first pipe, if you jump up to the top left corner there is a mushroom/cape (depending on if you are big or little)
Awesome!! Thank you so much for doing this!! I think if you collect all smiling face coins, it gives you a 1up..Yoshi can do a standing tongue lick by holding up while making him stick out his tongue...if Yoshi eats an invincible shell, he will temporarily have all three power ups
Great job on these videos. Your last one came across my feed randomly and I watched it thinking it was a while ago. Then come to find out it’s only part one? I saw this when it came out and definitely worth a subscribe. I can’t wait to go through your videos and watch more as well as see what you come out with in the future.
2:02:15 Mario's adventure is over. Mario, The Princess, Yoshi, and his friends are going to take a vacation. Fireworks 🎇🎇time. It was nice for Koopa to have this whole fireworks 🎇 🎇 display set up for us although maybe he was planing to set off the fireworks 🎇 🎇 after killing Mario or trying to beat Mario and defeat Mario in any case the last firework is a big ❤.
All right it is official I too got the ⭐96 on my save game file thanks to the 2 pt videos of this game and this really helped me out. Thank you for this fun classic game I enjoy the commentary and keep up the good work for the next one. 👍
And I LOVE how he did the credit warp! The speedrun strats in this game are just wild, just like in most other games in the Mario franchise to be honest.
Love these videos, Super Mario World is one of my all-time favorite games (and the first video game I ever played). Also for whatever reason, it took until watching these videos to realize that the Star World song is just a slowed-down version of the invincibility song.

Which Koopaling? Wendy's? Because of the world of water.
The "brown lava" is clearly boiling hot chocolate lol.
It certainly looks like hot chocolate
Wasn't expecting this today, but you just made my Monday a whole lot better.
I know I was thinking he got burnt out and said fudge it on finishing. It.
Super Mario World is easily my favorite in the Mario Franchise. I think I fell in love with, at the time, how much more realistic the characters felt. From there it was playing it over and over and over. Thank you for making this video for people who really don't know this game that well.
One of the best time killers i ever played... i agree, its simple and addicting, and rewarding to beat.
Like everyone else is saying, this sure is a nice pick-me-up for a Monday! Thanks for all the effort man, we appreciate it!
Also, pick-me-up is an item in Super Mario RPG
The coin dropping cloud is just another way to get 1ups it drops 10 coins and if you collect them all it will then drop a green mushroom. Also you can hold up while riding yoshi to keep him from ducking while using his tongue. Otherwise EXCELLENT guide as usual. Don't ever stop

13:55 - finished with 69 seconds left! _Heeeeey, nice!_
55:23 “it could be some kind of brown lava”
(is playing Chocolate Island)
Conclusion: VERY hot chocolate.
I too grew up poor and didn't have many games, let alone the systems as they were new. I don't think I got a SNES until Mario All Stars with World came out in the bundle with the console. It really made you appreciate the one or two games that you were able to afford.

That's awesome! Really cool that you could share it with your daughter - Congratulations!
These videos have always been great.
I am hoping to see Super Metroid next..
UCBVG: Now this room is called the Moat and you can easily clear this room early by doing a well timed wall jump. It's considered a very diificult speedrunning strat, but maybe, oh, wow I got it on my first try. Lucky me!
I'm from the future. Ucanbeat Super Metroid is out!
the amount of effort you put into these is enormous!!!
I'll be honest, I thought the Credits Warp trick was going to lead to a sponsor.
"And right when Yoshi swallows the coin, you'll see...
that this video is sponsored by RAID SHADOW LEGENDS."
I would've laughed so hard.
I always thought of the "brown lava" as boiling hot liquid chocolate. Great vid!
Yes. This was common knowledge for us 90s kids!
It's tar. Maybe molasses.
At the end, you did an amazing job describing the strengths of SMB3 vs SMW.
bro, your channel has been around long enough that i spent the last 2 or 3 days watching your videos at work - and i work 11 hour days
and not just 'all your videos', the videos i like. That's how much content you have, and imo, good or excellent content - thank you for what you do :)
I can’t imagine how difficult this was to do, pulling off the frame-perfect tricks. That must’ve taken a lot of resets! Awesome job
You are my new favorite youtube channel, length, topic, accuracy and passion wise. +2 for the doggos
I just beat the game with 100% secrets because of this video, and it was so gratifying. Serotonin city up in my brain
You made my Monday shine light especially on slow days. Great video as always UCBV!
SMB3 was my favorite too, I loved the variety and consistent themes of the worlds. Plus, climbing a tower to the clouds was awesome, as was fighting through all of Bowser's army in world 8. At any rate, it's nice to see all of the exits - your guides are always so thorough.
SQUEE!!! I've been anxiously awaiting this 2nd part!! Thank you!!

You can go back from the post-Special World swap by going through the Special World map to the Star Road at the end again. If you use the Star at the end of the Special World, it'll take you back to the original version of the game.

Same thing with Dr. Robotnik/Eggman in Sonic1 Starlight Zone. You have to use see-saws to bounce the spiked bombs back at him.
This is by far my favorite channel! I was crushed when when I did not see a video over the weekend. You have made my day. Thank you!
Any chance you could do a guide on Earthworm Jim (for Sega CD)? Or Gensis (that one got level less than the Sega CD but a level more than the SNES)
Thank you for this ucbvg
I just beat this game with all 96 exits! Thanks for what you do, man. This is like the fourth game I've beaten with your help. (Also completed ducktales, and castlevania 1 + 3). You have helped me enjoy my hobby so much more.

Awesome playthrough! The altered world after beating the special world freaked me out as a kid but I grew to appreciate it.
55:24 Not brown lava. Molten chocolate!
I love that you showed that trick to skip the game without completing a level. Wow! My patience would NEVER let me even try! 😂😂
Part 2 let's go! Get your breakfast ready and enjoy some UCBVG
Amen bro!!!😂
So if you live in Germany you will still eat breakfast at 5 pm?
@@jarlwhiterun7478 Ja, warum nicht 🙂
Seriously some of the best guides. Finally get to see some levels I may have never seen. Special world was a nightmare.

I've been waiting for this one! Your videos are truly a 25 out of 10 🤩 Let's get started! Aaaalright!!!
So a quarter of 10? Are you giving him a 2.5? Kinda mean.
@@Prodmullefc not sure what you're saying is mathematically correct mate ☺️
First time I fully completed the game. Thank you so much. Such a great game that I've played a ton as a kid. Just finally got around to completing it :)

The dark brown bubbling "water" on chocolate Island is... HOT chocolate!

Incredible as always, smashing through my SNES backlog and Pure clearing as much games as I can cheers UCBVG!
55:22 That's not brown lava, its boiling hot chocolate. At least, that's my theory, given that this is Chocolate Land 😁🍫
wow...there were so many secrets I never knew.
Some many great memories, we got the snes for Christmas & we played the heck out of this game
Fwiw, I've always called the 'brown lava' in the chocolate zone 'boiling water' until my little cousin pointed out it's probably boiling CHOCOLATE. Good spot, formerly little guy! Also damn impressive video, I love your work and you deserve more subscribers then 150k!
After all of these years, I didn't know about that secret in Larry's castle at the bottom.
Me either 😂 my childhood was a lie

This is Flat out Amazing!!! Loved it so much. Thanks for the trouble
Nice video! There are some good tips and tricks here I wasn't aware of - my next playthrough of this game is gonna be fun!
How in the BLAZES did someone figure out the "Credits Warp?" That is a ri-freaking-diculous amount of pixel-perfect inputs/steps.
This series was great and very thorough, the only things that I saw that were missed were:
In Vanilla Dome Ghost House: at the beginning after the round of ghosts, if walk across the top platform, middle platform, middle platform, then go back left to the bottom platform, a 1 up spawns (never new about this one till I looked at the full map online)

You gotta wonder how anyone even thought to figure out the credits warp trick. That's deciphering ancient languages levels of complexity.
I always interpreted the brown lava in chocolate island as boiling hot chocolate
Oh I’m so happy this is out now. I’ve been anxiously awaiting your arrival.
Fantastic job! Congratulations!
Been waiting all week to see this one!!!
Dude, alright!!! Love it when you drop material!
Loved the "Float on" reference!!!!
I appreciate you! I feel like these videos can give non-gamers appreciation for games.
Great job on these videos. Your last one came across my feed randomly and I watched it thinking it was a while ago. Then come to find out it’s only part one? Great work dude!
You’re bringing me back to my childhood with your videos I love the content man. 🎉🎉
You are a hero!! sharing this with all my friends that cant beat mario
GG this was very entertaining, I loved learning all the new tricks and glitches
So many levels and secrets in one game. Wonderful.
WOO!! Loved this series. Cant wait to see what you do next!
fun fact but this game is a direct sequel to smb3 lore wise because the sunken ghost ship is one of the fflying air ffortress ships from smb3
9:15 Oh my gosh it's another balloon! TREE WIZARD!
26:44 i remember getting this door by spin jump the fireball !
I used to jam on this with a buddy, taking turns beating levels with Mario and Luigi.
Game is a masterpiece.
I followed your guide and got all 96 for the first time, so thank you!
I love how you closed it. Great game n SMB3 is also amazing. I do love SMW2 as well.
An unexpected but delightful surprise upload today. Thank you, UCBVG. 😇
And I LOVE how he did the credit warp! The speedrun strats in this game are just wild, just like in most other games in the Mario franchise to be honest.
Thank you for making Monday great again
What a coincidence. I just watched part 1 last night. Good stuff man!
Love these videos, Super Mario World is one of my all-time favorite games (and the first video game I ever played). Also for whatever reason, it took until watching these videos to realize that the Star World song is just a slowed-down version of the invincibility song.
This is the best channel on yt for sure
I LOVE your channel!
26:50 20 years wondering what was at the end of the lava pool because the 8 years old me didn't know how to keep flying lol
great stuff :) - one of my fav games of all time no question
What a way to cap off the workday. Thank you!
I remember beating this in my early twenties, before I bought my 1st system (ps3). I had no idea how much I hadn't experienced. Sure, I beat the special world stages, but there was still a bunch of side paths I never opened up, and I couldn't even conceive being able to glitch the game so much. Silver Yoshi sounds like a good enough reason to replay it though, and maybe I'll try to get him with a colored Yoshi to see what happens. Great watch as always.
Pretty sure that brown lava is supposed to be Hot Chocolate, y'know, since chocolate is the theme of the area :P
Love your videos, you deserve way more subs.
God, I just love these types of videos, especially since these games are my childhood, but there is still soooooooo much to learn and so many hidden secrets I would have never found as a child. Definitely subbing to see what else you cover and Definitely going to check out your other vids!
Amazing video man. May I suggest Super Metroid? Keep it up!!
