Keith Prodigy dance (Rave Up In The Kitchen!)
HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 21 мар 2019
- 100% authentic rave footwork dancing, blending Keith and Leeroy's moves from the Prodigy. Like we did in 1991-1992.
Check my latest tune: • In To The Void: Dawles...
No Melbourne Shuffle nonsense. (we were doing this decades ago - and the Northern Soul dancers too).
Oldskool memories, we where all dancing like this in the '90's best days of my life 😘 driving around in an old vw bus going from rave to rave ❤️
Amazing! I have an old VW bus too. She's getting tarted up for when lock down is over - and a smiley put on the front!
Same here the 90s best time of my life e's and acid bouncing around oot yir nut wi thousands of people connected through love of dance music, fuking brilliant, I still listen to the same music and bounce around the house 😜 mind you shuffle dance isn't so easy on the legs these days 😆
Haha! A bit of practice and you'll be away!
@@JackAcidmate , please please send me a video or any help on how to dance like this please , you are a fuckn legend . I’m 44 and remenisce so much about the glorious 90’s. Plus I wanna put on a show at me sister in laws wedding next year . Please please please respond to me ,
@Realist-2506 hey man! Thanks for that! 😊 Makes it all worthwhile.
Making a tutorial is on the agenda;.I'll be starting filming in a few weeks because I need to structure it first. But I have a whole series currently being planned about the classic rave styles, where I analyse and then show you how to do the moves from the best dancers of that time. Keep your eyes peeled...
Just watched this 5 times ! Thanks for making me smile today 👌😀
Ah, fantastic! Definitely more kitchen raving in the pipeline.
Ok, that's actually spot on for the old dance.
I would like to think so! That's how I used to do it in 91!
@@JackAcid 91? Christ for me the late 90's were such an amazing time. I was a total idiotic teenager then but it was bloody fun.
Good Lad!
Watched twenty times. Relate relate relate! Kitchen morning vibes whilst everyone else passes out 💚You’re an amazing dancer
Thanks very much! I'm going to do more of these, with tutorials, as loads of people are asking!❤
Yo man!
Huge RAVEAPPEAL in here - party hard!
Thank you!!
I’m tired now from watching. Great energy!
Haha! More dancing vids.coming!
Im 34 and have listened to prodigy sice i was about 11 lol i still love listening to them and the old school fantazia stuff but i mainly listen to gabber now which ive only just got into purepy because its a close resemblance to prodigys style of certain tracks and its still going strong here in australia and in mainly the Netherlands
I first saw them in 1991! Long time ago. But still love them. Long live the old skool. More rave dancing vids on the way!
Sweet as man :) my only old skool stuff ive seen live at a fantazia gig over here in australia ratpak and a few others were there
I grew up in Elgin City north east of Scotland during peak of rave era, magic mushrooms used to grow everywhere in the season up there even in our high school field, watching prodigy vids tripping blew my mind the visuals and dance moves were amazing, I was at t in the park watching them live when the speakers blew up caught on fire, those were the days, took its toll though all that chemicals at such a young age were all fuct up now, lost many friends to over dose and suicide just like Keith flint, wouldn't change it tho the experiences and laughs couldn't have been had without the drugs that's what made the atmosphere.
I still get the goosebumps today when good tunes come on 🎶🎶🔊
Thanks for sharing these memories! I'm from Wales, so know all about those naughty shrooms...! Yeah, tbh I walked out of school in 1991 as clueless as I did when I walked in - and straight into rave. Took to it like a duck to water. From not being cool or popular in school, to being one of the best dancers in the club - it was a surreal time when the blokes who used to knock me about in school came up to me and asked me for dancing lessons! Great days. Loads more 🕺 my bids on the way!
@@JackAcid I started smoking weed and drinking in first year, by second year I was doing shrooms and had took my first e, was basically stoned throughout my 4 years in high school, still got alright grades tho but walked into an apprenticeship as a builder as soon as I left high school, I was going to raves whilst still in high school, 15 year old first rezerection down in Edinburgh, m and my friend ally went down in a 44 seater bus with his older brothers and crew of Elgin soccer casuals, we were youngest on the bus all the older dudes giving us speed and pills, took a double dip strawberry trip and within half hour I was in panic mode, when the bus stopped on motorway I for everyone to do a piss I was going to run away, thank fuk I didn't would have been totally lost no way to get home and my parents didn't even know I was going there, well what a night that turned out to be there was people on stilts juggling fire, dudes dressed up as Fred kryueger with shit hot masks that looked so real, all the noise and flashing lights I was freaking but couldn't find anywhere quiet and just gave into the atmosphere was one of the best nights, well one of many many brilliant nights I was raving every weekend from 96 to 02, the combination of e's, speed and acid definitely the best for dancing, the e gave the loved up euphoric feeling, acid made me hear the music so well I heard every little sound of the tune and the speed gave energy to dance 10 hours 😯 what a combination, when I think about it now dancing at these all nighters just purely running on chemicals is like doing a marathon or something like that 😂 I was pretty good at dancing back then, my cousin had a little p.a group used to play live I once got to wear the skeleton suit and dance on stage, was big into motox aswell growing up, more the frestyle side of it so the injuries from that and working on building sites most my life knees aren't as good like I said I still bounce around the house pulling the old moves 😂 just can't do it for long.
I don't know what you would have called me during high school I wasn't into sports so I didn't hang around with the so called cool kids and I wasn't a geek either, I was always stoned in class and could get drugs through my older friends suppose that fitted me into my own little niche, when everyone started going to raves at the after parties there would be loads of people from school and I guess it brought everyone together no matter what ur status was at school.
Good times dude far better life than what world is today. ✌
Fair play mate. Took me ages to master in 92...
Thanks mate! Can't stop me when I get going!
Jack Acid Tried it again after all those years. Still got it at nearly 45! 😎
@@djmcintyre2360 Get your vid up! :)
Love it. Watch at half speed. Its mental!
Haha! Brilliant idea! Hadn't thought of that! Cheers!

Awesome! Immediately added to my favourite clips list. I'm >40 and finally decided to learn to dance like this, never managed to in the 90s. Thank god for pewople like you, slomo and tutorials!
Well, that's very kind of you to say! Tbh, this isn't my best video, as I just slapped it up without thought. However,GOOD NEWS for you:. I have a new channel called The 90s Raver. It is only about oldskool rave dance styles, with tutorials on the way.
It's brand new, with only one video up at present, but it will be getting a lot of new ones very soon! I hope to see you there!

@@JackAcid whenever I see videos like yours, I feel like I was born just a little too late (well the place matters as well). You guys from the UK got to experience the best dance culture in history that will never come back. Happy faces on the dancefloor, pretty girls (without idiotic puffed lips and cheekbones and gigantic horse-b.tts). I envy you 👍👍👍
@middle-agedclimber I totally agree! But have heart: the rave scene is back and well established again! Where are you in the world, buddy?
@@JackAcid Poland, for now I am having fun practicing dancing with my kids. 😀 Maybe one day I'll go to next Prodigy concert and dance like it's the 90s in some underground bunker in Sheffield ;)
This was really cool!
Thanks! Checkout my other raving vids on the channel!
I've been gradually learning these moves over the years.
Get a vid up, bro! We need more oldskool dancing on here that isn't Shuffling!
@@JackAcid And what do you mean by getting a vid up technically?
Sorry, it's slang for film yourself, and put a video on RUclips. I love seeing other people dance like this! 😉
@@JackAcid oh didn't know that. I'm not a native speaker. Hm, once I get decent, I'll upload the result for sure. Thank for an idea!
topdanceact!
That was awesome!
Boom! Haha! Cheers! I've been asked for more dancing videos, so I suppose I should post em up more regularly!
Back in the day
Hell yeah - but I'm doing my bit to keep this style current, and back again! New dancing tutorials planned!
My man buzzin lol

@@JackAcid ever tried to copy leeroy ? He was my fav back in the day
@Neilleeds yup, and the next videos will specifically focus on the difference between the two styles.
Nailed it brah
Much obliged buddy!
i love this video....still cant get down the foot move....damn it
Haha! Cheers bra! Yeah, it was a wierd thing that some people could do, and others really struggle! I was trying to teach it to a load of younger mates of mine, but they couldn't pick it up. I'm going to make a video all about this dance, and how I learned it.

@@JackAcid sweet bro 😎
😅legend
Haha! Thanks buddy!
Класс!! 👍
Not sure what that means, but thank you! More raving videos coming very soon!
It means something like "higher level", "higher class", "top class", "top level", "higher pilotage", "higher class pilotage", "top higher aerobatics". Russians have it's phrase (класс!) from aviation, it's short (abbreviation) of "top-class pilot". In the sense of "level", "degree" and not in the sense of "caste".
Synonym of "top-class pilot" is "Ас" (sounds "As", not "Ass" :) It is most likely an short (abbreviation) of "класс" (class).
In short, he wanted to say that he considers you a professional.
Thanks for explaining! 🙂

I write rave music - check out my latest track --> ruclips.net/video/nOPcxgFrrDo/видео.html I can't promise it'll make you dance like me, but it'll definitely get you started...!
Nice 👍 🤘🔥😈
Hi Mr Jack Acid, great footwork matey 👌👌👌 Which remix is this? It's an absolute monster version
Why, thank you bro! I am a great deal better these days 😁
This is actually the ORIGINAL mix - the one we all know is actually the remix!
It only appeared on their very first ep, which was called "Where Evil Lurks", released in 1991.
It's very, very rare although you can get bootleg copies of the ep. I have an original copy that I paid £80 for in 1995!!!
In my opinion, it's the best version of it, and better than the album/chart mix.
Btw, I have two new channels devoted to the oldskool rave scene.
One is called The 90s Raver which is ONLY showcasing the dancing styles from back in the day. Just one vid up at the moment with me in the kitchen again, but this will be getting busy very soon!
The other is Rave Review, where I make videos about the scene, culture, ethos, and review the classic tracks.
Be good to see you on both!
@@JackAcid Thank you Sir, I've just started following your channel 👍
@@JackAcid You're 💯 correct, I just checked my records, I've got it, it's on the 'What Evil Lurks' EP on XL Recordings 🔥👌🔥👌🔥👌
Fantastic! You already have the vinyl, too? Awesome!
Hello man, amazing moves.
I’m obsessed with Keith Flint dancing style and would love to learn it.
The fact is that I have a broom up in my ass like it’s hard for me to even move my upper body in harmony with a song like everybody do when they don’t know how to dance.
Do you have any advice?
Thank you
Hey man! I've got more videos in the way for this style of dance - keep an eye on my channel. Lots of people keep asking me to help, so I'll make a tutorial!
need more dancing vids jack
For sure! I'm going to make videos for my tunes, with dancing put in. This style has to come back.
@@JackAcid +!
Found your comments and links on my video in a possible spam folder somehow.
This is cool dude, you got the moves.
Haha! Nice one bro! Once a raver, always a raver.
Супер ждёт. Но музыку плохо слышно
If I tried that dance in your kitchen you'd need to replace half your tiles and 3 cupboard doors....
Hahaha! But at least you had a go, so it'd be all good! 😂
@@JackAcid Bro I worked out in the Canaries in the early 90's - you remind me of this Scottish lad (I'm Irish) who was an absolute legend of a dancer - his best was Felix, dont you want me - but prodigy was just the best man - fair play for the vid u should make some more :)
Awesome memories! Thanks for sharing. I have a few videos of my dancing which are better than this one. You don't have to subscribe but if you click on my channel you'll see all my visa there. I've got one dedicated to Keith Flint from The Prodigy which you may like, too.!

Hiya bud , loving the tunes you make , are tgey available anywhere?
Ah good man! Appreciate it! Not officially as yet - I'll be releasing on Bandcamp later this summer. If you subscribe you'll get to know when I do. Got some big plans for the music and channel. Thanks for your support and interest! Means a lot!

Not too bad
Cheers bro! Lots of views on this, so I'm going to have another go at it!
I love this! I was going to suggest it seems like a kinda blend of Melb Shuffle and voguing then read your whole description, haha! Does this style of dancing have a name (not that it needs one)?
Hey Mark! Thanks for the comment! There's no real name for this style other than oldskool raving! It incorporated Vogue-ish elements and syncopated hand and arm movements, but the really eye-catching stuff was when the feet were used in time to the hands. If you look at Leeroy and Keith from the Prodigy and see how they danced in the very early videos, that's the style I'm doing here. It is hard to pull off and very tiring! But I was always able to do it. I'm going to upload more vids this week of this style of dancing, with possible tutorials too (I get asked a lot!). My tips are listen to HipHouse and early breakbeat rave from 1989-1992, and just get a 'feel' for the beat.

What version is this
Glad you asked. It's the original version, which was on the B side of their first vinyl release "What Evil Lurks" ep. Came out early 1991. This version is the best in my opinion. Later, when they found success, a remix was released. But this is the original and best.
