Started listening to the prodigy because of my parents, mainly my mum when I was about 5 years old.
I’m 27 now and still hooked. My mum was devastated when Keith took his own life. And I always said that once I’ve earnt enough money I would buy her and myself and ticket and see the prodigy in concert live that’s always what wanted to do: it’s one of them life goes on! And Keith was the most amazing musician and he’s given me so many memories with my parents I will never forget because of his music with the prodigy.

Just LOVE the prodigy and Keith flint !!! My fave act ever. I really miss those rave days and the whole culture of " like minded just out for the music and to be free" attitude! Everybody felt as one , in it together , real good happy days! so far away from the plastic, consumer driven, bullshit, show off, look at my swag, culture of "I got more of everything than you" we got now. Soulless music, zero creativity, everyone hates everyone else. It's the opposite, people go out and hate on each other, drugs now are to get low, not high! Music is beyond mindless shite! No morals, no freedom ,man hope this shitty era passes soon lol

I went to a "Rave" a couple of years ago and it was cheese and Chav's. Then i realised although the Music was good in the Old days it was all about the Spirit and lifestyle....

What some people don’t know is that Keith was a truly nice, gentle and polite human being. His stage persona was unique because he channeled his aggression and passion and let all out on stage. I immigrated to Australia in 92 form Europe. I start to play semi professional football (soccer). In 95 one night my cousin who was a few years older drove me to practice and was playing ultrasonic obsession in his car. I just feel in love I called him the next day and begged him for the tape so he recoreded the tape and gave it to me. I listened to that tape on my walkman over 1000 times in 96 at the age of 13 attended my first rave. I remember being in line in front a warehouse hearing the music thumping as I walked in felt i like in was in wonderland. My music tastes went from hardcore to pure techno and haven't changed since. Rave scene for me was freedom. At 36 my career/life/ kid is in full effect but after a stressful week i love nothing more than play some techno close my eyes and teleport myself to a warehouse.
Rave scene at it's peak was incredible and I'm grateful that I experanced it.

Never any fighting or violence. Just pure happiness. Come 2018: The raves are gone, the magic is gone, and well, MTV isn't MTV anymore. music is better now than it's ever been. you're just old and not seeking it out. by your same assessment of today's music, music from the early 90's was Milli Vanilli, Marky Mark & The Funky Bunch, etc ... my point is that radio music has always been shit and was actually shittier in the early 90's than it is now. They weren't playing The Prodigy, Acen, Ellis Dee, E-Type, etc on the radio. SL2 maybe a little, but let's all be honest, On a Ragga Tip was a shit song none of us ever looked forward to hearing at a rave.

Mark Mark I agree. Our children will never experience this sense of 'community' within the raves. As time has gone on the only place close to this is 'gay town' or pride. A total sense of respect and love for one another. And feeling safe on a night out. The real rave scene has disappeared 😔
