hello everyone this video is going to show you how to fix your apple mac computer weather its running osx mountain lion or mavericks or any other operating system just follow the steps .this should work weather your setting your hard drive up for the fist time or your start up files got erased or any other number of problems . if you ave any questions post them to the comments ill do my best to answer them .

***** BTW if your windows keeps restarting and cant get in just manually create a partition in Disk Utility, I just put it as free space. then use that partition for windows, For me my sound doesn't work, but I have 2 monitors so it comes out of the second one.

Command+R only initiates internet recovery if there is no os installed, you all probably had an os installed so you got into normal recovery mode where it asks for the Apple ID used to first setup the Mac
Try using Command+R+Option and that’ll go to internet recovery, it sends your model information to Apple servers and downloads the Respective OS based on the information, That means no Apple ID
@@IAmTheBrandonH there's no option key on my keyboard is it like alt or ctrl

However on Disk Utitily, when I select ■Machintosh HD
・ I don't find option to erase it. On the right panel, there're just two options, [First Aid], and [Partition]
・When i click on [Partition], everything is grayed out
I have tried all the followings, in order to erase the ■Machintosh HD in order to reinstall the OS X Yosemite, but things are exactly the same as the one described above.
①Boot from bootable OS X USB
②Internet Recovery
If you can delete it the make a second partition the is just needs a clean spot to download

Thank you very much for your help.
I have been able to create partition on the internal-HD and install OS X on it successfully!
Here's how I did it
□Formate external 16G USB drive to "Extended Journaled" and install OS X on it.
□Run OS X on that 16G USB drive (By simply restarting MAC with that USB attached)
□Use command line to force-create partition on the internal-HD

□Disk utility> format the newly created partition into "Extended Journaled"
□Disk utility> Install OS X on that formatted partition
I haven't tried to use command line available on recovery mode to do what I did above, without having to install OS X on a separated external USB drive, and run command line from it.

Hi,
When doing the recovery key combo, it gives the apple logo and a loading bar but after it it just stays as a white screen..
Nothing like a globe or utilities screen..
What should I do?

Yeah and it loads for some moment with this loading bar and after it just stops.
Re-installing OS X from a USB also doesn't work.
Try running a hardware test to see if you have any faulty hardware and maybe reset you pram .instructions are here discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-3622

Please my install says I've got over 24 hours to go pleas help
Have 2012 MacBook, mountain lion O S, IT WON'T BOOT OR RELOAD OS have formatted the drive set the time , it starts to load brings up the banner then post an error message says to try again, I wonder if I might have a bad have a bad hard drive, any help or suggestions would be appreciated thanks Jack

hello I do not have a command key i only have a button that has a logo with a weird symbol on the side I only have option and control what one I use and when I press these keys do i hold it down or do i press it on and off as the screen starts up

My sister passed away recently. I inherited her MBP, but it looks like she was having difficulties with it; no OS. I originally got the grey flashing folder with the question mark. After watching your video, I've got to the OS X Utilities page, clicked on reinstall OS X and I finally got to the OS X Yosemite page with this error message; "this is not a supported method of installing the OS. Please run install OS X 10.10app that you d/l from the App store". It won't let me go any farther; what should/can I do?

Hello guys!I have MacBook Air 2008 original and I can't reinstall Mac OS X Lion!I still on This item is temporarily unavailable. And i tried to reboot with Usb but the Usb can't appear I see only the recover disk only😭
So, down loaded and reinstalled os, but now every time i star my Macbook pro it stars in recovery mode. i have try a new hard drive with the result. any thoughts?

when I try to install the software is not installing it instead asking me to call apple which I did bit they were useless and asked me to take it to the store but I'm too busy to. so do you know why it wouldn't download the software. do I need to download it on my other laptop and put it on a USB stick and use it on the Mac.
Mine has a loading bar and the apple logo shows up after that, then nothing happens.
When I hold cmd+r it instantly takes me to "Internet recovery" and after about 15 minutes I get an apple logo (like when you're just powering on) and it's been stuck on this apple logo for bout half an hour

When I am at the OS X utility page and I click on reinstall operating system it says I’m not connected to the internet. It then tells me to click on the WiFi button in the top right hand corner. There is nothing in my right hand corner.
That's why I had to do a direct connection with a ethernet cable

My Macbook Pro mid 2010 has no OS. It won't allow me to install an OS without the dvd now - I presume. It keeps trying to install El Capitan?! Why doesn't it just give me an option to reinstall the original OS it ran with?
+Taylor Lostitch It will only update to the most recent version of osx unless you have a cd and you want to put lion or tiger on there .

Doesn't work for me.. I get the spinning globe.. I connect to my wifi.. the progress bar fills up and then I get the white screen apple logo and it just hangs there for hours and hours... I never get to the disk utilities

Did you try repairing it first if your missing a file it will try and find the file and replace it
If you can't get past the globe it can't connect to the internet so I would try and hunt down an Ethernet cable for a direct connection

Could you please give me advice on how to erase the HD in order to clean install the OS X?
Following your instruction as below,
"If you don't have the first partition for your operation system to go, the disk is going to be locked...you need to erase it beforehand"
I don't know which one of the following I should erase.
■Machintosh HD ( On this one, I can't find options to erase or create new partition)
■disk1 (On this one, I can find options to erase or create new partition. Is it this one?)

I deleted the partition by mistake on the process to clean install the OS X yosemite on my mac pro retina 13" 2014.

Yeah that s another way to do it no you can delete the internal drive and I fall it internally

Hi, I have a massive problem with my iMac, I wanted to reset to factory settings, and so I went to utilities via cmd + R on boot up, then I went for erasing Macintosh HD with full secure erase, unfortunately it took 10 hours+ and not even erased half of it, so I restarted my iMac and then i did a default erase which took just 40 sec. Now, when I went for reinstallation of macOS it downloaded half then it become corrupted. So I restarted my iMac again. Now this time when iMac restarted I could not get to Utilities but instead I was getting network recovery Joke! Which then showed me this error -2002F and now every time I turn my mac on it just goes blank and display a folder icon and if I wanted to go to utility settings by holding cmd + R it is not coming up! It just shows network recovery... so frustrating. Help please?

When I connect to my Wi-Fi network to reinstall new OS X it says “ OS X can’t be reinstalled because you are not connected to the internet even its already connected to my Wi-Fi network!

press and hold Command and R at the same time as soon as you power up your Mac. That will lead you to Internet Recovery mode. Make sure you have the Internet connection (Ethernet, preferably).

+Dylan Nestor Best fix i could give you is to connect with an ethernet cable there should be a hook up for it in the back of your router . the wifi wasn't working for me either.
