High pass filter allows everything HIGHER than the set frequency(ex. 90hz) to pass through to the speakers Low pass filter allows everything LOWER than the set frequency(ex. 1khz) to to pass through to the speakers With the example shown above, the amp will only send frequencies 90hz-1khz to pass through to your speakers. There’s also things like -12db, -24db, -36db, per octave the comes into play but it’s basically “roll off” from the set frequencies
You're backwards. If the high pass ( subsonic) is set at 80hz, nothing below 80hz will come through. If the low pass is set at say 500, nothing above 500 will come through.
Hey brother I have a taramps ds4000x4 I’m waiting on. Question it doesn’t have frequency tuning like yours jut high full and low switch can I connect 4 prv’s mr10 2000 on it? Since it has such little adjustment options ? Also I have a dsp I just purchased still trying to learn it . Thanks in advance love your channel!
I have a xt audio 2k watt amp, got my speakers tuned yesterday, I have 4 ds18 6.5 pro x6bm and two prv tweeters. It sounds good but my only problem at max volume certain songs have more distortion 🤦🏾♂️ maybe it’s because I need a separate EQ instead of using the head unit eq
Why would you NOT turn the low pass all the way up if you're running tweeters on that amp? Are you trying to simulate veteran hearing or youtube quality audio? I saw Steve Meade do this on a setup video (rolling it off at 8kHz, and then boosting the treble EQ) and it rattled my OCD. If it's a mid driver amp you might set it at 2-5k. One thing I do like on that amp is you can use a high pass on the subs to stop them flubbing around at 20Hz.
I was very confused on the crosover section LOWPASS and Highpass of the tarramps.lowpass control is 50hz to 15khz.and the highpass is 5hz to 50hz only..how can i tune this if i will use only on pure tweeters or high. Or on pure mids only.

Also fellas and gals, the gain is not a volume knob. Getting a DD1 so I can adjust gains properly.

I already have 1st amp setup, and later on install a 2nd amp for two amp, do you have to reset 1st amp again with dd-1?

gains too high, get yourself a oscilloscope and watch some vids on how to set gains properly to prevent clipping
