Did my civil engineering attachment on this road in 2014, cutting through the hills and filling on the valleys was interesting. The swamp before kikuyu town was a bit problematic, but the machines the chinese have blew my mind. But kenyan truck drivers are thieves, they used to sell in nearby villages the soil that they were supposed to ferry to other location of the road for filling up. kenyans we are just corrupt by nature, the hunger to escape poverty has destroyed us.
Most Tanzanians don't even know this road has their mark on it , Magufuli together with Uhuru Kenyatta commissioned it in 2018 during his state visit , 7 years and it still looks new , KeNHA has done well in maintaining the city's major roads. Kindly visit the Eastern bypass , it's the youngest of all the four bypasses and , to me , is the most scenic bypass in Nairobi , the fact that it's almost as long as the Thika superhighway will for sure make an enjoyable long vedio.
Love your videos Dolphin254. Thank you for keeping us updated on Nairobi’s infrastructure. Please tell me the name of the opening soundtrack. It’s beautiful. Watching from Japan.
I lost my mentor along that road and I'm still grieving 3 years later. The road has claimed so many lives. I don't know why we don't prioritise safety in our designs instead of having it as an afterthought. Thank you for the update.
Kenya iko na potential to be Giant of East and Central Africa in terms of infrastructure, in few years Nairobi and other major City will be far ahead in infrastructure development compared to our neighbours.
The most beautiful parts are the parts that have greenery on the sides, especially both sides. I hope they will not allow people to cut down the trees to build beside the road. They also need to keep the green space in case they will need to expand in the future. I wish KENHA would have a place where they could always plant movable trees so that they can plant more mature trees whenever they finish a road project. This is a good job on this road.
Now instead of dreaming for another useless sgr to UGA i plead for four lane expressway from NAI to malaba for economic reasons, spur biz in towns in btw, and most of all cut down on loss of lives and vehicles. Current sgr isn't breaking even yet and it destroyed trucking and associated bizz in Mombasa and other towns killing many jobs. Political pet projects can be beautiful to look at and bring pain in the pockets for decades

My condolences, I hope we can all work towards safer roads and infrastructures.
The road has no problem...just be careful as you use its blameless
@@jamesmaina7004 the road had problems and that's why they are fixing it.
@@felixmakinda7689the southern bypass lacks proper road furniture. It's a fast route & was majorly constructed for trucks not to pass within the CBD
Hi Beverly, introduce the drone in your video to capture nice clips.Good job

Kwani who is the giant of East and Central Africa currently? Is it not Kenya? Stop being delusional
True, Kenya is the leader but we might soon be overtaken by Tanzania if we don't watch out.@@Voiceofkenya1

Dolphin 254 what happened to the viaduct connecting Upperhill and Kenyatta avenue?
I'll be giving an update soon
Ruto that you voted for is not interested.
The pictures of what that project would have looked like were very appealing.
Waiting for upper hill viaduct...

I agree, the greenery adds a lot to the aesthetic.
Nice video….. But why are you driving on the RIGHT SIDE all through.?
We enjoyed the southern bypass ride

I agree 100% . then we have dedicated lanes for trucks alone.
They are planning for that as well.
But not with Kamangu
