Hi, I love the Police. Keeping us all safe, upholding and enforcing our individual rights and deterring/preventing crime and potential criminal activity. 💛
@@hampshireemergencyvehicles7916 I imagine the usual sirens and lights they use to warn off criminals has something to do with it. The sooner the police drop high viz vests and go back to black vans the better. It is almost like they want people to hear and see them.
Scenes like this are very rare in Southampton because we are way way! To under staffed in the police aspect. If this was London half the met would be there but for Southampton we only have a matter of a few hundred.
Armed units patrol/ respond across Hampshire so it would be measured on the county in terms of an armed response but there is plenty of police to handle this incident however I do agree that we need more police for the growing crime rate
@@hampshireemergencyvehicles7916 yeah I agree need more police, that’s why all crime is going up especially with youths since there aren’t enough police to respond. I’m in Southampton and I don’t even see one police car every day.
It really does go to show how silly people can be. There are distinct laws with regards to Airsoft guns, air rifles, shotguns etc. But some of these people (regardless of age) think it’s funny to strike fear into people and reap the resources of the emergency services because of it. Some people would say this is overkill... but this is the reality: how would the public feel if you only had, let’s say, two officers appear and those weapons were in fact real, rather than the amount they do send out? Well captured, of the operation. These fellas are there for a reason, not because they think they look good and get to ‘play with guns’ like some people keep saying... Sorry small rant over. Least they caught the trouble makers!!
What do you think about the normal officers not having handguns on them I dont really know cause if somebody has a gun and you have a taser the gun is going to win
Yeah that’s true but the armed response units were there in minutes and they are more highly trained to deal with these situations so I think it is good at the moment but if the gun crime gets worse something will have to be done
Hampshire emergency vehicles I didn’t know that anyways thanks for letting me know because I am moving to the UK, (currently in Ireland) so I can do anything with a camera there?
Paul SBA yes anything including people, buildings, vehicles etc as long as it is in a public place or it can been seen from public view ie a footpath or road as long as your not on the private property 👍😁
Errrr I live in Southampton, so much so I could probably hire those sirens, I’ve been on that roof. Had absolutely no idea this happened 🙈😂 how oblivious is that! Why’d they park a car in the middle of the Bargate? That’s a weird decision.
Lol, gun crime is a daily occurrence in my country, our normal cops have too respond, they have to take on multiple gunmen and here it's like 2 dudes get a whole squad of specialists officers... Must be nice having resources 😂
Well when they get a call saying there are 2 guys pointing rifles at the public they are not just going to send one car are they as it could’ve potentially been terror related
@@hampshireemergencyvehicles7916 I'm not saying it's bad, I'm just saying it must be nice having so little gun crime that it is considered a terror attack or considered a possible terror threat. We go up against guys with AKs, hang grenades, some cases even high calibre sniper rifles and those are just your average Joe gangsters. South Africa is probably the best developed country in Africa and we still have crime that is worse than some warzones.
@@hampshireemergencyvehicles7916 sounds like you guys might be heading the armed police service route, do you know if there are South Africans serving amongst armed officers or must you be strictly British?
@@ginger0208 yeah looks that way and no anyone can be a British armed officer as long as they have a right to work in the U.K. and meet the requirements etc.
