For a long time I watched Matt pull 4x rigs out of the sand and could not understand how all these idiots got stuck. Then this old dirt biker went to Sand Hollow last year. Unloaded our dirt bikes in a parking lot and went through the tunnel under the highway that you see in a lot of the videos. Made it about a hundred yards beyond the tunnel. And then spent an hour just getting back to that tunnel. When the sand there is dry it’s like nothing I have seen anywhere else. It can be ridden on with speed but if you stop it is almost impossible to get going again even on level ground. Beware. If you don’t have a high flotation rig like the Banana or Morrvair you will have problems. Side X sides work also but as we have seen they can also get in trouble.
Definitely looks like an air down to 8-12psi type sand. Round wheels are just perfect for digging round holes. I was shocked when I looked on the map to see where it is. Right in town basically. I've driven by numerous times and never noticed it. To fixated looking for the Virgin Jail I guess.

My dad admitted to giving my little poodle/schnauzer mix 20 treats per day. Now I know why she’s fat and stays at his house all day lol. (We live on the same acreage).
My ex father-in-law watched me and my ex wife’s Chihuahua when I deployed to Afghanistan and he fed her a spicy mcchicken every day, so when I got back she was kinda hefty. Somehow she wasn’t unhealthy aside from being fat (22lbs).
Best thing I ever did was put my dog on a raw food diet. She was overweight too and within half a year back to normal. She's never been healthier, everyone comments on how soft she is and she can still eat treats all the time and it doesn't effect the weight anymore. Plus you barely even need to pick up poop because it comes out like wolf scat. Dry and powdery due to the body actually absorbing it. Been 4-5 years of raw and she still begs for it daily.
I Agree, I recently visited that area and I was shocked at the texture of the sand, Way different than Glamis or any other Dunes that I have been on. If you are not aired down it doesn't what vehicle you are driving, you will get stuck. BTW it is as beautiful as the videos. You can 4wd all day in that area and go back to relax at that lake...amazing.
Matt ladies got you right where she wants you. What did you teach her by lifting her in? Whenever confronted with something she doesn't want to do... just wait for someone else to do it for you. She could easily jump in that car but now she knows she doesn't have to. I know your not a dog trainer and neither am I. You just keep being the best Matt you can.
I was just in Hurricane playing golf. I thought about stopping by to see the heavy wrecker but realize they’re running a business…no need to interrupt. Great channel!!
Never ceases to amaze me how it is that so many people seem to blindly fall victim to the dreaded sand. In 2WD machines. Where there surely are warning signs...🤪
Tyre pressure is usually the biggest reason a 4x4 gets stuck in sand. A good pressure is around 17 psi, sometimes as low as 10 psi but you have to have a compressor with you when you hit 'Terra firma'. I do see that the sand in your area is very different to beach sand. I think folks are a little afraid to let the air out but that could get you out. Just drive slowly thereafter if you don't have a compressor. The other issue is the low profile tyres the manufacturers put on 4x4's. It probably won't make a difference and a tyre or two may pop off. So, call Matt when you're stuck!!!🇬🇷🇿🇦🇺🇦🇺🇸
I get that if you followed approved safety limits you wouldn't recover half of what you do, but damn yanking that Mini out by the tow eye actually made me flinch. Those things aren't recovery points, they're designed to be strong enough to let you winch the vehicle up on a flatbed. On some makes/models they even tell you that they're single-use just for that, i.e. after one easy rolling in neutral winch up the bed in a parking lot they need to be replaced. Your guardian angel must be a bit frazzled by now!

Finally--a dog video! Thank you thank you thank you.
We used to run our black lab outside our car.
I'm glad you are watching the weight. Helps a lot when they get older.
Love seeing the dogs having fun. I start my new job today with rescuing dogs, Im excited.
Good result all around, thanks guys.
I cannot resist watching your channel guys! My favorite people having fun!
You just gotta love Ed, he never has to be prompted to give the weather. Enjoyed the video and enough time left to binge watch another before bed!!
I've been watching the channel since it was called winder towing, and I can say that's the first limo I've seen towed by Matt.
Really enjoyed the dogs. Recoveries were good also.
My wife is absolutely not allowed to give my shepherd any treats, but when I'm at work I know she does that's why he loves her.
That's why YOU love her lol
O don't feed the dog table scraps & My dog won't even let me walk it
It's funny
My dad admitted to giving my little poodle/schnauzer mix 20 treats per day. Now I know why she’s fat and stays at his house all day lol. (We live on the same acreage).
My ex father-in-law watched me and my ex wife’s Chihuahua when I deployed to Afghanistan and he fed her a spicy mcchicken every day, so when I got back she was kinda hefty. Somehow she wasn’t unhealthy aside from being fat (22lbs).
@@georgefloydsinhellwbreonna5330 had to be spicy huh
Best thing I ever did was put my dog on a raw food diet.
She was overweight too and within half a year back to normal. She's never been healthier, everyone comments on how soft she is and she can still eat treats all the time and it doesn't effect the weight anymore. Plus you barely even need to pick up poop because it comes out like wolf scat. Dry and powdery due to the body actually absorbing it.
Been 4-5 years of raw and she still begs for it daily.
Matt stunt driving with Lizzy laughing; what a pair they are. 😎
No fair, everytime they ask Matt how many he says one and gives it all the beans 🤣
Nice work as always!👍
Those first girls are trouble waiting to happen.. lol
Matt ladies got you right where she wants you. What did you teach her by lifting her in? Whenever confronted with something she doesn't want to do... just wait for someone else to do it for you. She could easily jump in that car but now she knows she doesn't have to. I know your not a dog trainer and neither am I. You just keep being the best Matt you can.
as soon as the camera is on Ed he starts his weather forecast 😂
Loved everything about this video...the dogs, the team, the banter, drifting shenanigans...
0:47 Look at those sweeties 🥰🥰
Ikr🤣
The good people that you see on Matt’s video’s are inspiring and a pleasure to watch. That’s what hooked me…
Why did Skeeter looked like he came alive on this Cooper recovery.... he was chattering away!!!
2 reasons?

I was just in Hurricane playing golf. I thought about stopping by to see the heavy wrecker but realize they’re running a business…no need to interrupt. Great channel!!
Matts backyard recovery. Hey, work is work!
Sometimes the best part of your show is the people you rescue. Like it's hilarious what some folks get themselves into.
Skeeter tries his best.. 😂
skeeter booking it for the video at @9:00 had me chuckling xD
glad to see Liz knows how to steer while getting towed...... ive seen some doozies over the years...... YOU GO LIZ!!!!!
Them: “We’re doing a whole cross country trip”
Me: in a MINI COOPER?
Thank you for a great start to Wednesday! ❤️👍👍👍👍👍😎
Damsels in distress. Noice!
👀😁💯
Fricken lesbians lol 😆
@@Inshallah42O even better!!
Classic episode! This is why i started to watch. Even got Ed with the weather. Please never stop making these simple and fun episodes!
Never ceases to amaze me how it is that so many people seem to blindly fall victim to the dreaded sand. In 2WD machines. Where there surely are warning signs...🤪
Here’s your sign
It's 4wd?
The Mini, at least. But it’s not the first. 😅
It happens, no one is perfect.
The road could just be a simple dirt one and then all of a sudden become piled up with sand due to wind.
4WD in a car with street tires and a low slung suspension is barely better than 2WD.
Loved seeing you relax for a bit and let the dogs run and swim.
Do you air down and up each time you get on/off the sand? Or do you just run low PSI on the road as long as you’re not driving too far (or too fast)
He is always down.
If it's far recovery they will trailer the rigs.
I believe he runs about 8 PSI on the road if just heading to sand hollow
So we got a call, In todays episode:
We unstuck a truck,
We lend a hand in the sand and
We save a dog on a log
afternoon🐿
i deleted it im not playing anymore..cheers colin
@@YAH. I have informed The Dave, he will be very happy
@@ColinRichardson lol great fun. its been emotional
@@YAH. If you say so
Good to see Ed. And fun to watch the dogs. And Matt liked helping the 2 hot ladies. Ha.
Is it me or did Big Skeeter have a little spike in the testosterone levels with that first recovery? Well done young man!
They lookin' for a skeeter bite!!!
I love seeing skeeter run
I watched that first recovery three times-...it musta been the Lexus~
Mini Cooper
@@javabeanz8549 lol, he rests his case!
