I LOVE the customers who agree to be filmed. There's no shade on them for getting stuck as any of us who drive off-pavement have likely done this a few times. There isn't shade on those who did something foolish -- because many of us have likewise been there. Letting us see you lets us give our respects to those without whom the show we enjoy wouldn't be possible. So here's to the stuck!
I agree. While it might be slightly embarrassing to be stuck, and filmed, I'm not laughing at you. These recovery's are entertaining not because you made a oopsies, but because it's cool to see how they get recovered. Plus bonus point s for how good the morrvair sounds
I put a kingpin dana 60 in the front of my 97 ford f250 to get rid of the crappy it's and ball joints. it now has 15° less steering angle than stock. lol turns in a football field. lol
@@tylermallory2504 ya most kingpin style front ends have terrible turning radius. Old jeeps.. 80s yotas. The early ifs yotas are exceptionally bad as well
Just an observation. I think one of the most important people on the crew is being overlooked. Why haven't you featured Peanut on your merch? That stuff would fly off the shelf. Enjoy your content.🙄😄
My wife and I visited Matt's this week. Drove from Southern California. Stayed in Hurricane for 2 days. Matt's was out on a recovery and the shop was closed filming. We checked out the vehicles in the yard. Second day we drove to Zion and took the tour bus. I did receive a Lifetime Pass for being a Veteran . Wish we could have seen Matt.
The morvair has an either a 5.3 or 6.0 stock junkyard Chevy truck motor with a tune. And pretty sure the exhaust is flow master something. If you go back a couple years you can see the movair being built on the channel
Love Peanut! And the level of communication between Matt and Peanut shows how close they are. Great to see. And when the Morrvair went up the hill in 2wd, I knew Matt was going to say Milestar Patagonias! He loves those tires! If I ever get an offroad rig, I know what tire to put on it. Also, went to the webpage to grab one of those jackets on black Friday sale - but it’s only Thursday, so no sale yet.
If you going to bury a jeep 6:30, you're going to have to bury it deeper than that, but Matt will still get it out. Happy Thanksgiving to the MORR crew.
Peanut is such a camera hog! I loved the intro where Peanut first gets in Kaulin's face, and then moves over to Matt. Lots of genuine laughs in this episode!
I highly doubt it, Matt seems like he's running a lot of things and doing a lot of project. If the job is easy let others help you and do it. He's only one man lol@@jsjs6751
I have two words for you...Air Down. I know you don't advise customers to do that for liability reasons, but that jeep digging in was a perfect example of where an air down to even 20# would be effective, let alone to 10 - 15#.
That fine sand is insidious. It will find a way though your shoe and socks. If it's pink sand, it will turn everything pink. I had pink shoelaces for a month after one of my Southern Utah trips... 😁
I could be wrong but I don’t think that was a power stroke I think it was a old 7.3 idi sounds like a diesel at idle but sounds like a gasser when u rev it
Have you ever considered doing a crawler/buggy giveaway for merchandise sold? People wearing your merch in public is one of the best things for brand awareness 💛
Wow two wheel drive! Great idea having Kaulin pull really hard with the kinetic rope without digging in, but on the first pull turning the wheels full passenger allowed the truck to pivot with less sand resistance! I would of turned toward the direction of the recovery, making a sand anchor. Great job guys.
It really shows the power of a kinetic rope. Pulling out a heavy, very stuck truck in two wheel drive is impressive. I don't think it would have been possible with a static rope or chain.
Maybe Onex should have a rock-in-the-road feature for their mapping system to warn trail drivers of the lurking danger of big rocks hidden in plain sight. 😁
Peanut is the exact color and if she's a pure bred collie , and identical to my dog's colors , butnmy dog was bred from an border collie and a English pointer , he shines English pointer more than the collie but talk a combination of a dog... Matt/editing crew. What a missed opportunity on a inside movie short video (which you normally nail btw) "What a bold strategy" from Dodgeball. If Matt said Cotton at the end and the video of the movie spot where they say that. Would of been GOLD. Love the content!
ive been a dad now for 30+ years and have taught 8 kids to drive, all still driving even after 10 years, though my hair is now white but oh well. however, you have to be the best dad teacher i think ive ever seen. no shouting, no harsh looks. "what was that?" Kaulin says. "you just broke the truck, " says dad, in the carmest voice i have ever heard. well done Matt, what patience you have...........
Peanut, you're no help! Peanut: kisses help! I'm glad to see there are still some 4 wheel drive vehicles out there. Who does more damage at MORR, Matt or Matt's kids? That XH went flying! I definitely saw the bottom of those tires! I think that was a "medium well" pull. Don't overcook your pulls
I can't understand why people spend so much money on their vehicles, but they don't spend anything on recovery gear.? Not even traction boards or winch.
Your Movair is one nice little recovery vehicle...in 2 wheel drive. I'm thinking the 40" tires might have something to do with it. Whatever...it does the job. Wishing Matt's Off Road Recovery, Matt's family and his employees a Very Happy Thanksgiving! Thank you for showing us...how it's done!
When you said you only had 2-wheel drive, I was thinking "Oh oh!" But the Morrvair and the Patagonia tires carried the day on both recoveries. Well done Kaulin and Matt.
i had a 97 XJ and the harness went bad on that too! i was driving on a rural road and all the sudden all my lights turn off! i had to practically slam on the brakes cause i couldn't see where the road was

Matt, it appears that Peanut has you well trained. Proper technique appears to make the difference whether or not you can use just two wheel drive or need to use four-wheel drive.
The jeep had hardly any momentum and a stiffer suspension. He likely had too much air in the tires as well. There are always multiple factors to success in an off-road scenario. The Morevair is a big squshy beast of a 2x4! ❤
Sin. You never oversell the abilities of the Morvair by bringing her to her to a rescue that she was built for yet you tie her hands for. Getting stuck means you are out there doing something.
If you’ve never been stuck you’re not having enough fun wheeling 😂
I've debated on making the 1,800 mile trip from Michigan that way just to get stuck😂

Yes.They found her freezing on the side of the road when she was a pup.
The right tires and amount of air in them makes a world of difference.
1:57 - That sound is music to my ears! Can we get some details on the engine setup? It’s a monster! 💪
I'm pretty sure all the MoRR vehicles have stock engines with a custom exhaust. The morvair has an LS iirc.
The Morrvair? Pretty sure it's just an LS1, a 5.3 iirc....

I've said it before, you guys need head sets in each rig! When you started carrying radios, it was a game changer.
But what a waste if they just lay around 😮😢

Love Matt's interactions with his son - Similar with Kaitlyn, Lizzie, Jefe, .. one of the reasons I keep coming back for more MORR?
11:03 - Large tire size and its associated flotation did more work than the brand/tread style of the tire.
Yeah they run like 6-8 psi as well. People don’t lower their tire pressure enough in soft sand.
As the captain of several vessels, autopilot actually runs the boat.

The "Ferd F-350 4x4 7.3 Powerstroke" the only thing good Ferd ever made. 😂
