    we just decided we want to play mandolin so this video is great! ive always played guitar in alternate tuning, great for old timey music ,blues and slide.

    Oh, a great lesson, Baron!! You are really good at widening the experience of those of us who are learning. But I have to tell you the last few minutes was such a tease. I will try a capo now and see what that's like.

    somehow that is my standard tuning nowadays. Sounds just great for Irish tunes and all of the tunes in D and G
