I've been playing Castlevania Symphony of the Night on my phone using this controller. The D Pad is really sensitive, When i press Up Alucard keeps walking to the left, makes it hard to throw items. Not sure if mine is defective or not.
I have the 1st version of this with the Switch settings & 2 Razr for Xbox with the Xbox emblem. I was about to buy the Razr upgrade & than I saw this one comes with 1 month Xbox subscription & new official Xbox controller. I noticed the new Razr no longer has the Xbox emblem, now on the new Gamesir. I was sold after that. I liked the Razr for my mobile gaming needs, but I hated how my phone would pop out of place during game play. This was another reason I went with this one. I like the wide hard back on Gamesir as opposed to the Razr with the elastic straps. The new one is made better & doesn't have the straps, but I liked this one better. Can't wait for my delivery so I can try it out!
@fulltimecommenter in reality it's actually a lot better than the kishi, I have both now, the x2pro has way faster inputs and is just more comfortable to use longer periods of time
I actually just bought a gamesir pro for my nephew he has a iPhone 14 plus and a Motorola hopefully it works for his Motorola it cost 70.00 and since I know he's a gamer I wanted him to have a bomb gift.

Hey ETA, you should do a Linux gaming front-end review or walk through, it would be a great series if you did a launchbox style series. I've been having a real hard time trying to find anything ,and what I do find, getting it to work properly.
They just took the Gamesir x2, and completely removed almost all of the flaws and added: Analog triggers Xbox compatible Back buttons Usb C moved to the right. Changeable buttons.
Only missing PD 30W charge and data pass thru & Hal sticks & well I don't know how these will ever take advantage of my top headphone jack. & GB it'd be a must buy
I hope a bluetooth one is available at some point. My big problem with these controllers is having to take my phone's case off, which I really don't want to do for obvious reasons.
Hah, a few days ago i was upload video about Standard version of this controller and I love this little piece of hardware. But this - pro - its brilliant. Analog triggers, 2 extra buttons on down side. Its nice :)
Looks like this model will still have the same issues I have with the 2021 version that I have. Dedicated screenshot button is too close to dpad and is constantly accidentally pushed. Certain games will get paused for the screenshot ruining gameplay. Needs lower palm grips for those of us with bigger hands. It becomes very uncomfortable after long play time.
I don't know if this still works but some Xbox/PlayStation controller only games are able to be played with a USB-C controller if you also pair one of those controllers. I played COD Mobile a year ago on my Moto Z2 Force with the gamepad mod, the only thing i had to do was have a paired Xbox controller on the side.
I have gamesir X2 The only thing I didn't like is the app and the fact that my phone is Android 11 (compatibility is horrible) Otherwise the device is good Also I have the tallest smartphone in the market, and it fits almost perfectly I use it for playing pc games on android via Parsec
The usb c plug stopped working on mine after a couple uses so I'm not going any ware near there products again until I start seeing some long term reviews. Plus 80+ is a ridiculous price for a controller.
If you are referring to the mapping app not working, you have to run another adb shell command to make it work: settings put global block_untrusted_touches 0 And this should make it work for any mapping app like the gamesir app, mantis or panda..
Just wondering wether it's possible to usb c to hdmi out of that pass through usb port? So I could hook it up to my TV whilst still using the controller? 🤔
Just got my Gamesir x2 Pro couple days ago... Just enjoy playing my Street Fighter EX+Alpha and Ex 2+ games... Using the FPse emulator for PSx games... I didn't have to install their app...🧐🤓🤫...$71.99 on Amazon...
I returned mine today. I had a problem when you moved the left analog to 4:30 o'clock it stayed there. A similar problem was with the right analog. It was rubbing against the plastic. Do you have the same problem?
the upcoming nubia red magic 8 pro comes with a nubia branded version of this controller, i'm sure you'll test this at some point on the channel ! The new redmagic is an absolute slab of glass, and it fills it up perfectly.
Just wondering why so many grips producers just thinks that every controller player (console and pc overall ) using Xbox controller (layout ) not Ps i play on PC with Ps4 controller and find way more comfortable than Xbox , there should be more options imho.
Why are these controllers made for phones more expensive than dedicated controllers? i'd even say that non-telescopic controllers have more features as well.
Is it possible for you to (sometimes) do a video during which you record the commentary when using the device? I visit this channel to learn about new tech sometimes but when I really focus on the video it's always evident that not much talking is done when recording, which makes the sound and the picture a bit disconnected.
I have a problem with this pad. In the gamesir app everything works, but anywhere else the A B X Y buttons are unresponsive (including gamepad tester type apps). They work as I press them slowly, but it only takes 3 or more quick presses and it locks up input for a second.
I just bought it for my Galaxy S21 Ultra because I would very much like an inexpensive way to Steam Link my games to a device and this just seems the simplest way to do it.
I have an 351v by anbernic but I might get this the vertical layout of that handheld only works with games on Gameboy before advance and JRPGs. Any intensive platform games on the 351v hurt your hands after 10 minutes hahaha
Got a previous Gamesir X2 and the biggest drawback is lack of either audio jack or usb2.0 otg port or access to audio jack (if phone already has it), so that the only headphone option is bluetooth, and this means bad latency in games (at least on Android).
i just got one of these for cloud gaming on my Pixel 7. It fits in the USB port with a thin case. So phones with the thin bumper style cases should be okay
Can you recommend one that would fit a phone with a case on, don’t want to keep taking off and putting case on every time I game. Also one that has back buttons would be great too.
I tried 2 of the previous GameSirs, but had no luck with either. When I would map the buttons in RetroArch it recognized each button, but then in game half of them wouldn't do anything. So for now I just use a phone clip that attatches to my 8bitdo controller.
It's weird if you map them from scratch they don't work what I found that works is you have to look for a shared configuration or should be somewhere in the little pop up bubble and then it will work when you map the buttons is definitely a flaw and I'm on a galaxy s22
i am concerned with redmagic 7s pro back vent when using these type controllers. will the lack of space obstruct the vent in the back? will it make the intake vent give out earlier than it should be
No problem using the Redmagic 7S Pro. The air vent is on the left and the slider on the X2 Pro opens from the left leaving a 5mm space under that part of the phone.
I've got a bluetooth regular version on the way. I'll take my otterbox case over latency. I wish someone made a small usb-c extender so it could actually fit my otterbox case though.
If the Legion's USB port is on a short side (where most phones and everything has it) then not without modification. ETA said in the video that it'll only support devices up to 179mm in length. I'm not sure how long the Legion is physically but I know the screen is 8.8 inches diagonal. The 8 inch 16x10 tablet I'm watching this video on has a screen, ignoring the bezels, that's 172-173mm long according to my ruler. By the time you account for the extra 8/10ths of an inch and the, admittedly thin, bezels of the Legion you'll probably be looking at 200+mm in length.
IDK... I bought the Gamesir X2 based on a previous video and it ended up being a bitter disappointment. Pixel 5 phone. None of the games I wanted to play would react to touches, including a game you demoed (Genshin Impact) which I really wanted the device for. It's funny this video comes out now as I had it SORT OF working with COD mobile in touch mode, but of course it works perfectly in XBOX controller mode. So I leave it like that, and finally months later I am using the damn thing.
I don't ever use any of these handheld devices for phones the emulation devices or anything, I just enjoy how ETA Prime talks about them
