Easy Contemporary Marching Band - Grade 2-3
Here's the popular hard-driving rock anthem from Chicago's early years. This arrangement is designed for younger bands but is still a powerhouse!
HL03744607
HL03744608 - Видеоклипы
This is a certified band classic
Played in my jazz band me and my friend both did the saxophone solo 🔥
Yep
I can confirm
A football game is not complete without the brass constantly yelling at our band director to play this song.
I know right!! I’m low Brass and I LOVE this piece
Thomas 1185 for my band it’s just a single trumpet constantly yelling. Trumpets am I right.
@@Moonlit.Sonata I sure do wonder who that one trumpet is. He must be a truly epic guy
For my band we would yell for the Land of 1000 dances or the Horse to be played
Trombones woo
Planning on breaking a drum stick with this song.
ok thx for the warning xd
ooh have fun
lmaooooo that's literally us in percussion every homecoming game we've made it a tradition to break a drumstick
Funny thing is,Well you see my teacher had to play the snare drum and he broke the drum stick 😂
I remember accidentally breaking my first mallet in 6th grade. I was so scared to confess the truth to the band director 😂
This is one of my bands stand tunes. I’m a trombone and I absolutely love it
Clarinet here. I agree, one of my favorites
trumpet here, and I agree it's one of the best!
Alto sax here, agreed
Also a trombone I agree 100 percent
@@randomnerpa2563 im also a trumpet and this is my favorite song
dude my high school marching band loves to play this song, along with land if 1000 dances and vehicle, and dude we all blare, which is weird cause we only have about 65 people in our band and we are one of the smallest in our district, but every time I listen to this song it feels so quiet
alley kat that was weird. For a second, you looked like someone in my band, and all of the songs you mentioned are songs we play as well, but We have close to 300 kids in ours lmao
Platnuming yeah we have like 70 after dancers and drumlins but this year the band is good once we got rid of the people who do it for easy credits
Bra I have 21 people in band including 6 color Guard
I love 1000 dances. A sousaphone and a couple of baritones go on the track and dance around for one part. It’s so fun.
i love land of 1000💓
This is one our our stand tunes. I'm a first trumpet. Nothing more fun than this up the octave.
This is my bands marching bit
I'm a 3rd trumpet and this song still hurts my lips
Yes!!! That's why I love being a first Trumpet
I'm baritone saxophone/Bass Clairnet -w- and we only played this song for 2 weeks before quarantine happened
Damn I’ve been out of high school for two years now. I’m a music Ed major in college now ahaha. This semester was rough
As a baritone player, I can confirm this is one of the best pieces to play!
yeah bro
Also a baritone player :)
FINALLY SOME MORE BARITONE PEOPLE!!!!!!!
@@itsemmaaaa508 I know😂 I’m baritone too.
euphonium player here❤
I'm a drum major and I literally get down just to play this on my saxophone. Alto 1 for life
as a tubist, this is heaven.
Confirmed as I am also a tubist
This is true also a tubist
Where all my saxophone players at? 🎷
This song sounds sooo good with a saxophone!
ayyyy!!! Im here! so much fun. Played this in 7th grade i think! Currently a senior in marching band!
MEE!
LET US COOK
Nothing will make me forget hearing the booms and cracks of the bass drums and snares and have it shake my whole body all in beautiful synchronization being in the back
Being in band camp I played this song really well I was rocking with my instrument 🎷
The Opener to my freshman year show. My very first marching band show to ever march, back in 2000. Talk about nostalgia overload
it is also the opening for mine! except it will be for our 2024-2025 season, and i’ll be a freshman! 😂😂
I have this for marching band, finally found a mallet part. Didn't think such thing existed. Rolls for days, tho.
We had a dude play nothing but cowbell for this thing back in 2000 - it was over-kill but by goodness it helped! lmao
The mallet part is pretty easy
I am also mallets and im playing it this year
I loved playing this with my HS marching band back in the 70's! Arrangement was the Bill Moffit Soundpower Series.
Playing this right now in my Junior High band! Playing base drum, I swear this song just slaps.
Me too! For my junior high band i’m playing bass drum on this song as well, i can confirm this song does slap
As a tenor sax, I did not expect our band teacher to hand this out. This seems way out of our level but it's amazing.
The clarinet part is the exact part that I have in my set of stand tunes.
When my band plays this, we shout in between the first notes in the measures at the start. (*Ba ba ba ba bum* HUH! *Ba Ba Ba BA Bum* Huh! and so on until trumpets come in)
that's funny! our band does a "chika cha!" between them
We do the same thing this other guys comment but the low brass doesn't shout anything
Stephanie Juarez same
Yeah we just scream out Uh!
Yo same
I'm playing this in my marching band
I love this song
The trombone riff at 0:47 is always my favorite part, it just send shivers down my spine in the best way
My high school grade 9 instrumental band played this for spring concert and it was amazing our drummer killed it
my middle school jazz band is playing this im an alto saxophone
same
Same
Alto was so fun but I moved to the tenor and now the bari
Nicky Lidhar same
Exyll Why would you ever disrespect the baritone sax
This is one of our pep band songs. We usually close the games with this song.
Between this, smoke on the water, Louie louie, and soul finger, all of those are really good. Smoke on the water is a personal fav
I remember playing this junior year of high school. loved those days. all the class trips for competition
We played this in band and it was probably the most fun we’d had.
My high school marching band loves playing this with the tubas jamming out in the back
We march to this year. It’s so much fun!!! Especially if your a sax
Brings back memories from my first year of marching band ❤
Every time I listen to this song I cry because its just so amazing
We played for our seventh grade pops concert and it’s still stuck in my head
SEVENTHHHHH?!?! I did it in 8th for marching band
Me too!
This song played in any key that isn't A Minor makes me fidget in my seat.
I remember playing this song when I was in 8th grade when the WM Band invited us over to play this!
*my marching band one of the smallest in our district, counting the color guard we only have 37. However don't let our size throw you off, because when we play this as part of our shorties, we sound like a collage band according to our band director,*
We had a Chicago themed show last year, this was our closer. Crowd always went crazy
I remember the first time hearing this in Santa Clara by a drum & brass marching band. Fantastic! A+ all the way!
Definitely one of my favorite Marching band piece along with Uma Thurman, Probably one for the only bass guitar players in a Marching band but i love this song so much
(2016) I am playing this for the memorial day parade at my school, i love this song:)
I am the new pianist for stage band and I found this so I can listen to it. And I needed to listen to the cover bc I had a concert with this song
Did this for our middle school jazz band and we got gold in states!
I’m in beginner band 5th grade and I’m in low brass and play baritone even tho we play another version is still fire
this song was so fun to play in my jazz show last year

The student section gets crazy at basketball games when the band plays this
I play this for my jazz competition!
Even thought the good parts come from low brass. I play trumpet and still love my parts
This is my marching show song😌
omg when i played this song at the football field it was so fun,its a really good song
My band director speeds every marching song we play by like 100 bpm and I love it
As a trombone player this song is my #1 favorite😎
As a snare player, this is my favorite stand tune to play
It's so much easier to practice for marching band with these videos
Favorite song in advanced band
I'm the bass guitar soloist in jazz band for this song, can't wait to play it all next week.
This is good I love it
I loved marching and doing flag work to this
I remember we played this the first year I was in marching band
finally learned this for pep band and i just gotta say tenor sax rules
One of my favourites - Flute Player with absolutely no certifications
I f ing love this song
Try it around 1.2x speed with a heavier rhythm section, and you've got a good sound if you want a "harder" variant. I stumbled upon this from another video that kinda did that.
I remember playing this in 5th grade!
I love this peice so much (clairnet who plays the low equivalents of the notes..)
We are practicing it now💜💙💛💚
My band is playing this next year (2016 Marching season) as the opening song.
This isn't our opening song, but it's one of them.
Same!
best pep band song
Learning it right now
Flashback! Pep Band 1995!! WOW! I still know it note for note LMAO!
I’m learning this song for middle school seventh grade band on clarinet
Playing this for my band in the 8th grade. W flutes!
Our second halftime show has this song
Trombone is my favorite part in this!
I have to play this for summer band camp on the oboe, aka the most frustrating instrument on the planet 😵
CERTIFIED BAND BANGER
i play this same song during basketball games and literally every single note is different and it makes me fell not sane
I’m playing the drum set part for my school jazz band (I’m aware this is a rock beat, that’s the just the song that got chosen) Anyway, thsi song is really fun.
God loves you all
Me and the other percussionists in my band always joke about planning a funeral for whoever’s drumsticks are used in this song
It's the truth, though
outstanding
playing this in marching band now.
Playing for our marching show
Everyone plays this for band and has it in your head al through school and just have to search it up.
0:29 hits different

+Alyssa S agreed, man.
I'm playing it in band camp right now. I forget if the band director said it was a halftime song or something else, but it's my favorite of the ones we're working on at the moment.
