    1) less power
    2) less torque
    3) more complex with direct injection so possibly less reliable
    4) no MT option
    5) more expensive

My wife wanted the top trip that time when we were buying but i hated the turbo so I convinced her to go with ex trim level and have the leather seats done by third party. So now we are enjoying the reliability of my choice. Regarding this new 2.0 atkinson engine replacing the k20c2 is mainly for Honda’s profit. It cheaper for them to make same engine in their line up than to make two different 2.0 for gas model and hybrid

It'll be interesting to see if the K20C9 has any carbon buildup problems at all honestly. If you look at a technical breakdown of the 1.5T motor, you'll notice how the direct injectors are actually installed in such a way where some of the spray does make contact underneath the valves themselves.
I'm not sure if Honda did the same thing with the C9, but it would be a no brainer to port (no pun intended) that design over so the injectors can clean the valves at least partially.
It still sucks that its direct injected anyways, cause you now have extra high-pressure systems inside the engine that are a pain to maintain if something ever does go wrong with the fuel system. But regardless, carbon buildup is the biggest problem of direct injection so it'll be nice to see if the C9 will in fact not have that issue or not.
