I loved the seedlings you produces, especially the white (not cactus, not decorative) and the pink one! I hope you continue growing them and they will put on a great show next year for you 🙏🏻. Otherwise I would absolutely happily adopt them into my garden 🥰 as I don’t exhibit or show my little garden so it doesn’t matter what variety or type they belong to :) they flower and give out happiness. That’s all that matters 👍🏻
Thank you for your great videos. It's really fun watching the process, and learning all the tips on gardening/ dahlias. I was really excited to see you documenting the seed propagation process. There are very few, if any, videos explaining and showing the results from seedlings. I can't wait to see what flowers are created! Thanks again, from Phoenix, Arizona USA
I just love your videos! I learn so much & follow your teachings. Wish we were neighbors, I would have so much fun sharing my garden success & failures! I did video my garden just to show you & Heather. Thank You for all this knowledge & inspiration ! You two are my favorite!
Hi Jeff, Ive been watching your series from Sydney Australia. This is the best ever information I've seen on growing dahlias. Thank you so much. I've been inspired so now i planted some dahlia bulbs this week. Cheers
Informative video. I definitely learn something. - The ones you don't like growing you could put it up for sale, someone might still like to grow them. Just a thought 🤔
Hi Caz. Good to meet you! Re Red Lollipop, I think it’s an American variety. Try Sheval Megan, which you can get from Halls of Heddon. Looks similar. Geoff
So many still good flowers! Would it be too much work to cut them off, stick it in a bucket to donate to libraries, foster homes, hospitals, etc? Maybe someone from a nursing home would be willing to pick up at your doorstep. Your beautiful, exquisite flowers would sure brighten up a lot of people’s days ☀️🌸🌼🍂
I absolutely love your videos, you have such a great sense of humour and this teamed with exceptionally helpful information makes such an interesting video. Please make more of these videos for 2025! P.s are you opening your garden this year?
Really well done video, but I'm curious as to why you don't cut the blooming dahlias, strip the stems, and donate them to either a Senior Citizens' Home or a Children's Ward in a hospital, etc. Then put the remainder in the compost. I'm lucky because I get to leave mine in the ground over winter!
If not nursing homes the tubers and flowers could be sold to raise money for the charity of his choosing. It's just a shame to see all those healthy beautiful flowers be thrown away because they're not perfect in someone's eyes. I just don't get that.
I love your dahlias and all of your expertise! In planning for next year what kind of string are you using to tie up your dahlias? My jute doesn’t seem to work well. Where do you get tags with a hole in the end of it? Thanks Geoff and Heather❣️
Hi Laurie. I use polypropylene string that doesn’t rot or break in the wind. In the UK most labels have holes in them. I get most of mine from the local gardening club.
@@Dahliaholic thank for answering so fast! I’ll look for that string and hunt for the holey tags here in U.S. Wish we could get the dahlias you can get there in England, darn it. Because of your videos, I made a separate Dahlia bed and did fairly well. I think it gets too hot in Oklahoma for a lot of them.
Thank you for sharing your beautiful garden and wisdom!

That's what I thought too. It's easier that way, here in the US
I agree. Such a waste tossing those in the compost when so many people could enjoy them or plant them in their own Gardens to continue enjoying them.
Fantastic episode as always. So informative for a novice grower. Eagerly looking forward to the next installment.
Ps I got the Maxime from Sutton’s!
The compost heap IS beautiful!

Sorry, no we aren’t opening any more. It got a bit too stressful!

Hi Jill. I’ve done that in the past but not in Covid times. Maybe next year all being well!

Great content as always, looking forward to the next one 👍
