Super fun having you come by Xyla!
🦆
There was a strong Viking longship vibe to Xyla’s boat. Leaves you to wonder, would they have been such successful invaders if they had all been rocking bright yellow duck heads and butts? 🤷♀️
It's a Viking Duckboat!
Or is Xyla secretly a Viking?
Agreed! We discussed that several times, even contemplated a Viking funeral for it at the end, but decided against it. Probably for the best.
Very fun idea for a series. Can’t think of anyone better to set the benchmark than Xyla. As always she makes something that is creative and also works.
Such a fun challenge and it's Totally a Boat! @xylafoxlin you rocked it! 🦆🛶
Thanks! We had a ton of fun making it.
you mean its botaly a toat.
Definitely picked the right person for this challenge. She actually seems more stressed on her own builds. Also, I could have never paddled that thing that straight. She actually knows how to paddle.
I've been waiting for this one and I was not disappointed. 🤣 If anyone could pull this off, it would be Xyla. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for watching! 😄
Great problem solving and creative design! So much fun.
I wish boston would adopt these as their duckboats. good job xyla and the rest of the narwhal team!
We're waiting for the RFP City of Boston
@@NarwhalLabs yo is she single bru
love all the creativity (and foam) used by Xyla! Fun video!
Thank you 🤗
Great video. And Xyla did not disappoint.
Great video!
Also, Xyla sent me here.
I'm going to have to check out your other vids. You just might have another Subscriber. 😉
Thanks for watching! 😀
Xyla you freaking rock!!!!!
This was great! I had seen the finished boat and yet when you started pouring the foam I was still thinking “oh no this is going to end terribly”
Great video and challenge and congrats to Xyla.
Thanks for watching! 😁
Modern boat building materials are amazing.
Great video! Xyla is a great builder and creative user of “Botal Tote” products. I’m inspired by her to try new projects and new ways of doing projects.
I would really like the see Jason, From the Bourbon Moth channel take the Scrap Boat Challenge at some point int he future. He seems a good follow-on to Xyla for the series.
That was a blast. Waiting for Episode 2 :)
Also I feel if you actually ate the hot chip you may lose a lot more than just an hour (for most people). That is a very daring gamble, haha.
That thing really held up. Nice boat, nice vid!
Thanks for watching!
Yer Uncle Taz reporting in from two years in the future: Great boat based on Improv. Some notes: needs a stability element like a keel or rudder to help it keep straight.
That said, I was pleasantly surprised it wasn't to nose heavy and thought it might have needed a void creating balloon during the filling of the head.
Still- Well done.
The legendary Botal Toat shirt
We love it.
This turned out much better than I expected lol
This ended up being a really clever and cute design.
"Can I take apart the pallet?" this is why we love Xyla
9:20 What on earth is that tool? It's like an anti-nail gun. I want one.
Also Xyla: I dunno let's fill the duck head with foam XD
I wish my life was put together as well as that boat! Ice pick scene was a bit too intense for me. Love the content botal toat!
No ducks were harmed in the making of this video.
Everyone: Ok, how I can make this float
...
Xyla: Let me make a giant duck head first, then we'll see.
I love the *point* of this challenge and the advertisement messaging from Botal Toat that anything can become the frame for a flotation device with one or two supplements from their stores and a lot of intelligent creativity - which Xyla oozes daily.
Bouncy off the docky thing, classic xyla
have u guys noticed those plants walking in background ?? 😂😂
Another episode please!!
Which came first, Carbon fiber dress or paddle?
Oh, and congratulations on being the fastest ever!
I think the Carbon Fiber dress was later than the boat because Xyla sad in this video, that she never used flotation foam before but worked with it (again) for her figure dummy.
@@ChrischenL Exactly. First the boat and paddle - then the carbon ball gown!
She wore her Botal Toat shirt to TotalBoat headquarters, what a legend.
it was a gift we gave her upon her arrival! How can we not suport BotalToat!
Of course, no duck-boat would be complete without duct tape!
Well done Xyla 👍
I'm really curious now how she would've fared had she spun 'barrels' on her first spin?? 😀
We were hoping for bubble wrap! Barrels would have been a lot of fun too!
so fun watching xyla's haphazard creative process
She killed the challenge!
Well done Xyla,. One thing that would have knocked lots of time off the race would have been a center beam rudder. You spent a ton of time going left and right when paddling
Scrap they say. What a useful pile of nice stuff. When I build shit with my brother, when we were a kids, it was made from palette wood only and lots of asphalt melted by fire in old pot. Ship was around slightly more than 1 meter long and around half meter wide, but it weights more than both of us together. It barely floats, but it was able to carry both two kids. What a times with burned skin and splinters.
When I first heard Letterkenny's Wayne call Dary "11-ply, bud" I assumed he meant cardboard or perhaps plywood which seemed like a nice compliment. Only much later I learned he meant TP, as in super-soft. 🐰
Xylatastic! That is boatally a cool toat!
Toats!
i would love to see official duck studios do this challenge, like half of their channel is making boats from trash
It's almost as if you could have filled the duck with the foam without decapitating and decapibutting it.
Adorable and funny 😂
Glad you liked it! Thx
Great... now I absolutely MUST go buy one of those nail removers... never knew they existed, so thanks? Ha! And how could the duck NOT become the primary theme???? It was fate (plus the spirit of the duck made it go faster!)
Still safer than those Duck Tours. Even makes duck-like noises when you stomp on the foam!
... Cheers...
#BoatallyToat
totally!
Xylaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!
Botal toat shirt 😂
Specially made just for Xyla
so many buckets could've easily sliced one in half to attach to pole and then not have resistance of pushing paddle down into water ... on the other webbed foot though hers would float if say clumsily dropped 🤔 good duckin though 💜
12:52 Ace Ventura didn't pay his rent again
Great video. Whoever filmed this is a bo$$
It was a team effort, all hands on this project! Thanks for watching!
Ok, your now #2 next to Steve Wallis for me.
Steve Wallis and Crazy Neighbor next?!
@@NarwhalLabs Too many step two's needed. They would run out of time.
In swedish "bouncy of the dock thing" translates to puttifrånkorv. :) there is a joke there but its kinda obscure..
Dragon duck boat!
That’s one heck of a “rubber ducky”
The fastest rubber duck in the east!
~1/4 of a bucket-side would make a half-decent paddle blade, if you could attach it to the pole without it cracking.
Great idea! thanks for watching!
Elon Musk really should give Xyla a call, if he's looking for innovation. How would Mars look if it featured yellow duckies?
Xyla should have remembered the keel for the boat
I would like to see Jerryrigeverything take on this challange
Fun! But please don't show the finished project at the beginning of the video. 🤦♂️ Other than that awesome challenge and video 👍👍.
Xyla would not get a parabolic hull from hanging off the stools. She would get a catenary hull. Still tippy though
those chips are not so bad going down… The real hell, is when they go out.
Bristol ??? In america what
Bristol, Rhode Island! Totalboat HQ & Narwhal labs :)
@9:15 What kind of witchcraft is that!
🧙♀️🧙♀️🧙♀️🧙♀️🚫🔨
More witchcraft at 12:51 . That’s one workshop I wouldn‘t wanna work…
botaltoat
you know it! ;)
this was funny, no real form for the foam made for extra drag rough bottom it seems.
ending I'm thinking "dang, no one taught her a J stroke" for paddling straight from one side of the craft.. is pulling yourself forward but end of stroke paddle turned 90 degrees to push outward 8-12" (as needed) to rudder+correct, would have been shorter lap time.
OK Xyla did engineering school not canoeing school....
I feel like every poor that she did around the butt ended up overflowing ... Leaky butt
Xyla getting totalboat on her first spin? I smell a rat.
Xyla ist botally a toad person.
