+Extreme Philly Fishing P.s. I am moving down to Florida in August. Once I have my own place there, feel free to stop by anytime and crash over. Hahaha.
Awesome Videos man. I appreciate the narration as it made me feel like I was actually on the fishing trip with you! These are my favorite types of videos because it shows the preparation and anticipation of fishing, which is part of the thrill of fishing. It's not always about the fish you catch but the memories you make!
you are a real trooper doing that drive and still being up for a few hours of fishing. I have done the reading, pa to fla drive a bunch of times and its grueling. Well worth it for that peacock bass catch! Congratz!
Thanks for sharing. My wife and I spent two weeks in FL last Oct. yaking fishing and loved it. I brought down both kayaks (Hobie Rev 11 & Jackson w/ ultralight Torqeedo) bikes and camping gears. Like you I wanted to hit all available waters on the way down. My suggestions are which you probably already have is to put a compass on your yak for when you hit open water. Fishing Grip scale and tape measure. Waterproof case for your eletrocnics and keys. PFD with all your gears attached to it. We ran into quite a bit of gators down there but was not bothered by them except at one point the gator wanted my catch and chased me on foot for a good 20'. Thanks again for sharing. Looking forward to going down there again.
Amazing and very inspiring video. i will be challenging myself as well as a few friends to make the journey to Florida via car from NY to fiah for the massive peacocks. i will seriously be sharing this video
Northeast, Philly !!! So weird I'm at work watching your videos and I work at the Naval Base! You were right outside of my work in this video. Haha. Small world!
That part where you had the peacock and the iguana swimming was epic man. I live in Florida (Tampa) and I have never even seen that. Great video man. It's good that you don't waste your time and you actually have success when you come down
whoa when I heard the music at like 1:30 I had to check my open tabs, that's the same track I used in my intros for my videos. It was one of the better tracks I found for some CC music to use in my videos. Just found your channel btw and great videos, keep it up.
Great video. Let me know next time you come down and we can do some back country fishing over here in North Port Florida. I can put you on some snook, tarpon, monster redfish, sheepsheads, spanish macks etc.
watching now but i absolutely love your videos. I fish calico bass on surf so cal. Surf stripers are a highly prized catch. I hope to visit jersey one day and slay blue and stripes during the blitz. I see your channel booming immensely over the night year. keep up the great work. Peace - Sean
Fish bite at night in inlets during strong winds depending on the wind. A friend of mine fished 25-30mph winds at sebastian one night and caught 20 plus snook. All big.
Those are the one footed red and gray cranes!!! Me and a buddy captured a pelican in Florida that was all tangled up in fishing line and by the time we got it all cut off of him/her it had cut into her leg pretty bad, she probably lost the leg eventually. We gave it some free fish for her troubles. I imagine that is what happened to the cranes... As anglers, always pick up your extra line if possible. Hate to see animals damaged due to negligence, when it is mostly preventable. Sounds like a fun trip!
awesome that u got the luck to go to florida i live in sweden we got perch pike and breem if u dot go on like 20 meter deep the u can find like louder and cod and hering
Hey man when you see the bank of the canals are eroded like the last one you were fishing. Dont bother bc 9/10 it usualy means jetski trafic hope this helps you avoid those assholes
Weird I did the same exact thing around the same time you did. I'm from Miami originally and live in north jersey now but I always take a road trip down there to fish for a week or two
NO TEXTING WHILE FISHING... Or driving, lol. Hope you had fun here in Florida, there's a lot of us kayak fishing nuts every where, network before you take your next trip. Good job!
lol i love this video man. a guy from Philadelphia eating cuban food fishing in miami canals catching peacocks bass, jaguars. I even love your background music you really make me laugh. Quick advice next time come in march if you want to catch more peacocks.
Thanks for showing how to jig hook the Pearl Flukes. I have been killing the largemouths all week, even when the ponds are dead, on those. Also, you and Leo from Extreme Philly need to meet up for some more shows. You two are my favorite fishing channels by far. You both mix it up and keep it fresh instead of the same old bass blah blah blah like the rest of the Tube(and you both live in Philly).
That was a hell of a peacock man! I may suggest a different rig on your fluke tho. If conditions are tough and those fish get stingy with that fluke youre going to miss a lot of fish biting the tail. I'd say youre better off with a 3/0 or 4/0 EWG hook or if you want to keep the action you like take a small strand of flouro and tie a small treble on to stick in the tail. that will allow that action to swing but increase your hook-up ratio if theyre not eating the whole bait. I have to do it all the time up here in Michigan with smallmouth
Awesome videos man! That first place you pulled off at Fox lake is actually right near where I live ha. Saw you pulling off the highway in this video and was like that kinda looks familiar and what do you know
Sand hill cranes were the birds you saw. And if you make it down here again a 3.5 inch rapala original in silver will catch just about anything in freshwater.
Dude - love your vids, NJ strong here, revo 13 for me as well. The fish you got @ 8:35 is a jaguar cichlid aka managuense from south america. People keep them in aquariums like oscars. Jags are a top predator and can reach 24". Tight lines.....
Buddy, It depends upon the gator. If you are near a nest the mother gator can be quite aggressive. Gators will swim under you vessel to shade themselves from the sun. In calm water watch for their swim bubbles. They sometimes swim near the river bed and knock loose the nitrogen bubbles off the top layer of the mud. They can jump their body length out of the water.
you should do a $100 bass pro fishing challenge. its where u only can spend $100 at bass pro and whatever u buy there is all u can use to fish with. I would love to see a fishing video like that from u. and love ur vids.
Sleeping in the trunk...Hmm...That is actually a good idea! Awesome vid, Chris! Excited to see the rest! Tight lines!
+Extreme Philly Fishing P.s. I am moving down to Florida in August. Once I have my own place there, feel free to stop by anytime and crash over. Hahaha.
Wow dude that was crazy....iguana, gators, peacocks, this is better than watching National Geographic!!
The wildlife was worth the drive alone, way more going on down there than what I'm used to!

Get to Florida without spending more than 100$ challenge 😂👍🏽 good work
"Are gators cool?" Hi light of the vid 😂
On windy days fish inshore! Fish the bridges, there's always snook and tarpon on the bridges! Good luck, love your videos, keep them coming!
Good video, very interesting. I am moving to Florida and look forward to fishing the same canals. Look forward to the next video
you are a real trooper doing that drive and still being up for a few hours of fishing. I have done the reading, pa to fla drive a bunch of times and its grueling. Well worth it for that peacock bass catch! Congratz!
makes me want to leave Minnesota right now and head south....loved the sweat pants and boots.....ur reaction to the alligators was great!

I give you credit, that was a great decision to make a budget trip like that! Awesome vid and good narration!
Nice video man, you've earned yourself a new follower. I need to get back to going out on my kayak. Keep up the good work & tight lines my friend.
Welcome to Florida! Those redheaded herons in the beginning of the video are called Sandhill Cranes. Love the peacock bass. Good trip so far!
fish at 8:50 is known in Brazil for tiger peacock bass and some people call it tinare(tilapia+tucunare) Tucunare is how we call peacock bass here.
Grab the kayak, drive to Miami and fish. Awesome. Can't wait to see the rest.
This is the funniest ways to travel, at least in my opinion bc you never know what the plan is you just fuck'n wing it!
Northeast, Philly !!! So weird I'm at work watching your videos and I work at the Naval Base! You were right outside of my work in this video. Haha. Small world!

Awesome!! Awesome video!!! I would love to do a trip like this! Great choice of background music.
That first fish was, i believe, a Jaguar Cichlid, Cichlasoma managuense
Jaguar Guapote. Strong fighters and delicious.
Great video. Let me know next time you come down and we can do some back country fishing over here in North Port Florida. I can put you on some snook, tarpon, monster redfish, sheepsheads, spanish macks etc.

Wonderful video man, felt real good to see someone fishing :)
Awesome video, and nice job with the budgeting. Less than $100 to travel the coast seems unreal!
Wow cool idea! Really enjoyable to watch, got me thinking about doing this in northern Ontario with my 12 foot tinny or canoe...
You should! Tow to the furthest waters you can and explore the unknown haha
That's awesome man!! I'm going down in July to offshore fish in the kayaks for a few days
Fish bite at night in inlets during strong winds depending on the wind. A friend of mine fished 25-30mph winds at sebastian one night and caught 20 plus snook. All big.

Not sure if you're interested, but your fancy redheaded herons might be sandhill cranes? I think they should live around that area at least.
You had me at "I plan on sleeping in the trunk back there".
Great video bro!! fan from Georgia
