Hey Rob, I have a suggestion for your sabiki rig. Use a heavier sinker. Because the heavier the sinker, it's harder for sardines to wrap up the sabiki rig. They are not able to swim easily with heavier lead weights 2ounces or 3ounces.This works well out here in California. Just saying. Take care.
Great video! Please don't feed the Dolphins. Teaches them to chase fishermen and lose fear of people. I recently moved near where you filmed this, Santa Rosa Beach, and have noticed dolphins can be a problem. Moved from California where I kayaked for Halibut, Rockfish, Lingcod,... Always wanted to get an Albacore from the yak.
I'm from Big Trout Lake ON reservation. And I fish Big Trouts. But my first is Walleye. Love yur video man. Hope too see sum walleye fishing from yu :) keep up the amazing work
Rob I would love a tutorial video in the future. Like pointers on how to land a big fish on the yak, do’s and don’ts. Maybe tackle and line you use for us offshore newbs. Just a thought
Those small to medium Spanish are not very oily if you bleed them out as soon as caught. I’ve eaten a ton of them and they are great grilled, smoked, or blackened.
Out in my back yard man! Pensacola native, I left the car business after 5 years in July last year to mate full time on a private charter out of Destin, FL! Literally living my passion and can relate to you leaving the corporate grind to pursue the dream. Its hard work but gratifying as it gets! Tight lines buddy and thank you for the video and inspiration.🙏
I fish 7miles off the shore of Matagorda, Tx and the Red Snapper average around 30”, idk where your catching baby snaps at but I guess it’s good I don’t know.
Don't leave your bail open for that long. Only takes them a second to eat it and if no pressure is applied then the circle hook won't connect. I only ever free line when I want mangrove snapper. I normal fish in middle water column for good size reda
I would suggest using a heavier weigth for sabiki, that would avoid the mess with the line when you are pulling out those little guys from the water, also you can handle better the line and avoid those sharp little hooks, awesome video as always, cheers from Mexico!
Sorry to hear about your footage. I haven't lost any footage yet but I've lost good audio and that's a bummer too. How did you prepare the fish for the taste test?
I been fishing there allot. Love living off the peace river. You can fish for salt or freshwater species including sharks all the way up the peace river
Oh man , totally sucks, I have had SD and issue with mic failures so frustrating. Well you guys had a great day! Just amazing snapper, and king fish bite. Bummer about the cook portion of the clip. You should try the Susquhanna river for smallmouth. Is on my hit list for 2023. As always super entertaining video.
Off shore mangroves in the gulf can get really big lol. I went on a night trip about 60 miles off sanibel and got a 6lb mangrove. Amazing tasting fish and they have some serious fight for their size!
U should come up to Massachusetts and catch some cow striped bass. I fish from my boat but I have buddies that kayak fish. Saw one of them hook up to a 53" and just go flying by me. Didn't see him again for an hour and a half. Epic stuff
Im so glad you were still able to get the episode out despite the memory card issue! ‘Twas very fun to watch! Hey at least you didnt lose a whole camera rig or a drone, etc (ive done both recently, it could be worse)
I’m at work, it’s -37C and I’m flying home tonight. Great video. Back on my yak over Christmas/NewYears in Manzanillo Mexico and can’t wait. I just bought a canon 5D mark IV that has dual card slots. SD and CF and I asked myself why bother. I guess cards fail and what a pain if it does. Granted the 5D is a bit of a beast for video and I know zero regarding the subject of gear that you might use. Do they even make dual card slot video cameras?? I was going to do my stills with SD loaded only, I’ll learn from your bad luck.
I’m from southern indiana and probably my favorite fish to target here is blue catfish in the Ohio river and bowfin on ultralite gear with the trusty rooster tail in the creeks and backwaters. I honestly would love to see one of your videos targeting a giant trevally. I know they are in Australia but not sure where else. One of your videos targeting GT would make my year lol.
I live in Maryland and fish down ocean city 5-6 times a year. We won the surf anglers surf fishing tournament this year 2022. I also live on the water and would love to do some fishing with you down oc or assategue island. Love watching your channel. Not sure how to get a hold of you. Safe fishing for you and tight lines. Good luck
Come back to Rhode Island! I’ll let you borrow my Robert Field autographed Lightning Strike to chase anything from Stripers, Fluke, Black Sea bass, to Largemouth bass and trout. F it, come play beer pong against my wife and I… I ain’t scurd
Robert, your passion for fishing is contagious! Always stoked to watch your latest uploads! I live in SoCal and for the past 22 years have really enjoyed fishing the 4-8 day trips out of San Diego. That said, the re-established local Bluefin tuna bite over the past 12-15 years has been incredible. I would love to see you fish the local Bluefin Tuna on light tackle. Keep up the great work! Tight lines!!
@@phoenixlake4369 Thanks for the insight. They're in Florida. Last time red snapper was in season was a month ago. Does it take that long to upload some GoPro footage?

They are more than a problem. Unfortunately it's not just here in SRB FL. They are horrendous throughout the entire gulf!
What an incredible fishery, that looked like an absolute blast!
Very cool. Fishing last Saturday with an inch of snow on my kayak. Catching pike and large mouths. Awesome day up here in Pennsylvania.
Home turf right there! It’s always a blast catching fish on the way to catch fish
What'd you think of this one guys? Where should I fish next?! Sound off below where you're from and your favorite fish to target in your home waters!
Come here in San Diego California, Summertime for yellowtail. We also have good local bass fishing for calico bass.
Love seeing you offshore in your Lightning Strike! Come back to Minnesota soon and chase some musky!
Fish the striper run cape cod canal MA next year!
I'm from Big Trout Lake ON reservation. And I fish Big Trouts. But my first is Walleye. Love yur video man. Hope too see sum walleye fishing from yu :) keep up the amazing work

Having watched it snow all day yesterday, I realy wish I could get to some tropical beaches! That looked like a lot of fun!!
No worries my friend am also a fan of mangrove snapper, great video 👍

Congrats on making the move Alan! Wish you all the luck in the world
Those are some incredible fights, that kingfish was SCREAMING drag! Looked like your Lightning Strike handles offshore great!

Can't believe these guys are fishing in my back yard! Too cool.
I just recently purchased the kayak youre using from a friend. I wish to see more videos on its application and accessories pls. 😊
Awesome action bro. those are some good Red Snappers right off the beach!

The sweetest sound a fisherman can hear😊
Live in Oregon love Fishing in the ocean lingcod sea bass sea trout steelhead salmon

Hey!!!!!!! Ive been looking forward to this one coming out :) Stackhouse is a super great dude
Robert, the way to keep your Sabiki from tangling up is to use heavier weight as the bait fish gets bigger.
Living the dream!!! Il hopefully be there one day. Good on ya, keep it up.
Wow amazing fishing video...
Love watching you and your girl out dosen't matter what you doing always enjoy your show love you god Bless you
Love the video man. I use to live in Destin FL and it's the best fishing I've seen anywhere. I probably fished that spot
How physically intensive is the pedaling to fish offshore in a kayak? Can you compare it to like biking or something?

Welcome to Pensacola..
u should cut the sabikis so its skips one. will help with the tangles. it SUCKS when anything gets tangled on the yak lol.
Great idea!
How are you so comfortable in the ocean with a kayak man? Like I could take my kayak in a big lake and it's sketchy as hell
Nice bloody King Mackerel..what a fighter and those teeth.Maybe cook up a reformat on that card?

For the red snappers do you catch bigger fish if you use bigger bait ? Or it really doesn’t matter
Not necessarily
I have a special sabiki rod, its hollow to help keep your sabiki rig from becoming a hot mess
Come back to Rhode Island! I’ll let you borrow my Robert Field autographed Lightning Strike to chase anything from Stripers, Fluke, Black Sea bass, to Largemouth bass and trout.
F it, come play beer pong against my wife and I… I ain’t scurd
feeding the dolphin all the short snapper
Whats with the fish toss on release? Really?
Man I would love to go Kayak Fishing with my friends! I can't wait for a better paying job.
I am concerned about big swells and sharks. Any tips?
Hey rob, I’m trying to get an inshore and offshore fishing kayak on a budget. Anything you would recommend?
What harpoon is that? I like that way better than a small gaff!
Hi Rob what motor is your mate using on his kayak Power please Frank uk
How do you guys go that far with kayak and not worry , isn’t too deep ?
You can drown in 7 feet of water, so doesn’t really matter after that…

Great time on the water. Ready to do it again!
Are paddle kayaks obsolete now for fishing.
Those porpoise are like the sea lions out here in California ready for an easy meal
South west Louisiana it’s gotta be some flounder or a big ole marsh donkey(redfish)
Hi! I'm watching from East Texas. Crappie fishing is good at lake Palestin, Texas
Should fish 7 mile bridge in the keys as well as the humps out there
Also sabiki rods 🙌🏻
It's nice pof the dolphins to let you catch their breakfast for them.
I really love your campouts
2 of my favorites to eat!
Offshore on a kayak is crazyyyy
It’s a blast
How far out from the shore were y’all??

Wind looks a bit iffy out there.
I need kayak fishing buddy.
Good to c you getting your field trips on, great content as always...Respect.
I hope you did not dispose of the line you cut off by dropping it into the water; it sure looked like that.
Late November?
Look like fun, too bad on end of the video at least you got most of it.
