Does the hole in the glass where the pins go through need to be oversized to allow for expansion and contraction similar to the gap you leave between glass panels?

Why rubber cushion is not put between glass hole and stud, glass should not touch metal directly,
Point load on glass holes will lead to automatic glass breakage
