    What's the name/type of screw you mounted on the wall? The one with a headless threaded. The video on 1:42. I appreciate if you reply. Thank you!

      1:42...That is a Gyford Combination screw assembled into a Wallboard Anchor. Gyford Part Number HD-AWB2
      The Combination Screw is a Gyford manufactured part available at standoffsystems.com or Gyford distributors (LInk below).
      The Wallboard Anchor is available at hardware stores.

    Thanks mate, but can you tell me how to install standoff caps on glass door?

    • @Standoffsystems
      @Standoffsystems  7 лет назад +1

      Ivan Li,
      Before your glass door is manufactured you'll want to specify where the hole locations will be, as you cannot drill into tempered glass. IMPORTANT: We supply plastic tubing to go over the steel stud and protect glass or resin from chipping.
      If your glass does not have holes, Standoff Edge grips may be a solution.
      Here is a link : www.standoffsystems.com/how-to-guides/how-to-install-adjustable-edge-grips/
      Also, Info@standoffsystems.com is where you can send us a rough sketch and we can open an in-depth dialogue about your project. Possibly adhesives and backer plates too.
      Thanks Ivan Li

    I have a question - Is this will be impossible to hanging on the wall 2m*1m large toughened glass painting, glass thickness 12mm, without frame and holes in glass?? And if, yes, then how i can do that?
    I will be very thankfull for your answer.
    Linda

      @Standoffsystems  6 лет назад

      Indeed,
      This can be achieved with standoffs.
      Edge grip standoffs may also be used If the glass is tempered and cannot have holes drilled into it without shattering.
      www.standoffsystems.com/products/standoffs/edge-grips/
      We would need to discuss the hardware used, based on the attachment surface.
      Give us a call and we can work out the details. 775-829-7272

      How many standoffs i will need for this glass (2,25m*0,90m; thickness 12mm)?? How much standoffs i need at the bottom and the side of the painting??

    • @Standoffsystems
      @Standoffsystems  6 лет назад

      Linda Z.
      To answer your question: Typically 1 standoff every .6m. You may require 12 standoffs for this glass. Maybe less depending on the mounting surface.For accurate and free estimates. Please contact our tech lead: Robert Borden robertb@standoffsystems.com We need to know the mounting conditions, type of glass, or shape of glass edge. We will also confirm the weight of this glass with you.

      Irwansyha,
      For this install we use a self-drilling wallboard assembly (Gyford HD-AWB2) www.standoffsystems.com/product/self-drilling-wallboard-anchor-assembly-2/
      They are 5/16-18'' thread.

    My opinion is they are too big. Take attention away from the art. Perhaps smaller in diameter.

      Thanks Mustard Seed.
      Agreed these 1'' caps are a little large for this demonstration (or the art too small). We carry caps and barrels as small as 1/4'' diameter and up to 2-1/2'' low profile. Custom colors are available too, so the hardware can blend with the installation.

    My prints never utilize such stand off bolts............ absolutely horrible looking and detract from artwork.
