    MCC rocks. I've found that the Plantiant, Manimal, and Mutant were easily transferable to my DCC campaign. Additionally, a judge could use the rules for mutations and the artifacts to play a modern day Supers game with the DCC ruleset.

    Personal experience on MCC characters classes. Mutants play more like DCC wizards because their active mutations and glowburn operate in the same way as wizard spells. Pure strain human shaman tend to play more like an artifact/computer specialist, with a tiny list of wetware (spell) programs which flavor their playstyle. A shaman can have skills/wetware that makes them act like a tank, thief, druid, etc.

    So far, I've only used MCC to give a DCC character a mutation (he could shoot lightning) after he touched some weird goo. I definitely plan to do more with it, especially if I end up running Expedition to the Barrier Peaks in DCC.

    I’m like screaming at the video looking at the stats you rolled at 2:04 like THATS SO GOOD lol.
    DCC has been a godsend to me in all seriousness and Jorphdan has been a huge help with making the DCC experience great.
    I make TaleSpire maps for DCC games (modules) and I’m so excited to get this book and make something for MCC. Since they are backwards compatible I cannot wait to blow my players minds with a space ship or something that takes them to this post apocalyptic world and having new mutant characters and stuff it’s gonna be incredible.

    Got my MCC book a couple months ago. Rolled up a whole 16 character party but we haven't gotten the chance to play yet. The great thing is that after the first couple, I could roll up
    PCs in under 10 minutes each. Plan on doing some cross-overs with DCC later this year, possibly using Empire of the East and/or Dying Earth.

    Friend, 0 level characters don´t have a class. They're gatherers or hunters, and only humans select a class after reaching level 1. As the Core Rulebook says: the rise from 0-level huntergatherer to seeker means specializing in one of four separate character classes for pure stain humans, or three raceas-class for mutants, manimals, and plantients.

    Hey Jorphdan, any chance we can get more OSE actual plays with you and lex and the crew? That was really fun to watch. (Or any rpg really)

    How does MCC compare to the Umerica sourcebooks? Any opinions?

    • @datrux
      @datrux Год назад +4

      They have very different tone. MCC is set thousands of years in the future where technology and magic are essentially the same and the PCs are hunter-gatherers with little understanding of technology. Umerica is set near-future and is more like the Mad Max movies mixed with the band, Mac Sabbath.

      @@datrux You made me Google Mac Sabbath... not sure I'll recover quickly, glad this happened on a Friday.
