I don’t know if you’re gonna see this comment please don’t judge me because of my age but I am in the fourth grade and flying alone with flight attendants. I have a big stomach, so can you recommend me some food to pack for the trip? It’s gonna be a 10 hour flight alone.
@@AileenJ-o3sI just saw your question and my thoughts would be if you bring the noodle soup bowls that you add hot water to you could ask for hot water they give for tea and have noodle soup and then just pack a bunch of snacks granola bars etc. Hope this helps ❤
@@Jeanelleats I haven’t been yet. I have a friend who just moved there with her family and she’s raising kids there. So much good food from the restaurants and night markets I want to experience!
Just went to Taipei! Trip was a bit too short for me to travel to jiufen. Last time I went was in 2018. Thanks for the wonderful video though! Miss travelling already.
I’m Filipino but never really got into learning how to make these desserts etc but I’m so into it now and I love your channel/website! I wanna make all the ube thingsss
Went to jiufen last year! Highhhhly recommend to go if y’all haven’t been (though the steps do get really tiring on a hot day lol) the vibe is unreal 3:00 personally this was a bit overhyped. I ordered the one with ice and there was barely any taro balls :( 8:05 omg I REALLY wanted to try thissss I didn’t have the opportunity tho 😭😭 The food in this vid looked so good. I wonder if you would go to China for a food adventure? :D
Good video. However, Jiufen is not the inspirational location for Spirted Away. Director Miyazaki has already debunked this false info years ago. There is no connection between Jiufen and Spirited Away. If anyone wants to see the bathhouse that was the inspiration for the movies bathhouse setting visit Dogo Onsen in Matsuyama, Japan.

I love Taiwanese food ❤ I live in So Cal, Taiwanese community, so I get to eat all this food everyday. I hope to go to Taiwan soon!!
So much stuff with a QQ texture they call it (bouncy, chewy). Looks amazing 😭😭

I once again recommend the black pepper buns from a night market if y’all haven’t tried it yet! Happy to see yall enjoying all this food

I mention this in the video! Its crazy how it was almost a mining ghost town until tourism changed its fate.
The resemblance is insane though - there's even a gold mining tunnel in Jiufen with a red circular entrance like the one in the film
Yum
Omg delicious, very jelly, thank Yubaba you didnt get turned into pigs 😂❤
