Just accept work in kapolei and can’t wait, I’ve been in Hawaii several times, only thing that I’m nervous about is the price range, really don’t want my whole savings to try to keep my head above float.

ESL teachers used to be in demand before the pandemic because we get students coming here to learn English from Japan, Korea and China. If you are interested in ESL teaching on Oahu, Hawaii, check out Hawaii Tokai International College. I was an adjunct teacher where I taught English grammar class there prior to the pandemic and it’s a fantastic ESL school and program!

Awesome!! Parking varies depending on where you’re located. Not all condos, whether renting or buying, come with a parking stall so make sure you check into that. I remember seeing optical last time I was in Costco in town.

Move to Hawaii land and bring their political beliefs that the Hawaiian people don't agree with. Hawaiians were promised by the Queen they would have land to live on - they are still waiting on a list for years and years and years - don't have the money to buy a home/land but they are selling off land to the people who are not on this waiting list.

On this same site there are videos of the Hawaiian people who yes cannot afford to live in their native land. Stories of poisoned areas and stolen water, big sugar and no help are normal to the native Hawaiian. IF America is to survive, the popular myths of Manifest Destiny must be quashed and the America for all. must be brought, kicking and screaming into the 21st century.

I’m not saying this is a good thing, but no amount of making those feel bad by those who do want to come in and appreciate your land just as much as the natives, is going to change your already established system, nor is it going to to make the locals richer to be able to do so as well. Your land is one that survives on the tourist industry. If it were not for those people coming in and spending their money there as well as contributing to your culture by eventually moving there, then your economy would cease to exist at this point in its existence because it relies far to heavily on the fact that outsiders DO invest so much in your economy. It may be the reason why there are more expensive homes, but I know of many people who DO move there and buy land super cheap and build their own places on. Not everyone wants a huge expensive lavish home and not everyone going there IS buying up multi million dollar homes and that’s not all there is to choose from there. And even if you already live there, you have just as much opportunity to pull yourself out f a bad place as the next person on this planet. What many lack is not opportunity, because it IS there, but the drive to be able to do better. The longer you’re waiting on ‘your land’ to be ‘gifted back to you’ when it’s obviously not going to happen that way, you could be using your time better to find a way to get what you want by other means. And if you want something badly enough, you WILL find a way to make it happen by any means possible because where there’s a will, there’s a way! But if you’re waiting around for that to just be handed to you, you WILL be waiting a very long time! The land may be yours, but understand that even when you ‘belong’ there, no one can actually own land anyways. I’d rather pick myself up and find a way to make crap happen for me over sitting around waiting an opportunity that may never happen the way you think it should just because that’s what you were promised! No amount of complaining that things need to be done a certain way from a system that don’t care about following their own rules they made up, let alone let alone where you lay your head at night. I get that’s not fair and that’s not what you were promised, but that’s life sometimes and many times, you need to pick yourself up and make better instead of dealing with making do with what you’re handed if you want a better life!
I know someone since birth who moved there, bought land for a couple thousand dollars, cleared it out, started their own business there, and still found the means to be able to travel back and forth to the states to see family, build their home to be self sufficient and not only that, but managed to buy a second plot of land and build a second home and repeat what they did with the first home to rent out and make money for them. This is someone who did not come from a well-off family. They only figured out how to play their cards right to be able to do what they love THERE! If someone from here who came from that kind of background can do it, why not someone who’s got the same background that is from there?

Do you know anything about the history of the overthrow of the Hawaiian Kingdom??
Funny you are encouraging people to move here when there are so many native Hawaiians who can’t afford to live or are forced to move to the mainland. Maybe put this energy into caring for native Hawaiians instead of inviting more foreigners to the island🤔

Hell no. Waikiki is Soo over rated. Super expensive. Houses suck. Meth epidemic. There are so many beautiful islands in the world with great weather. Phillipines has best Islands in the world, also Thailand.
