You thank us so much but I don’t think you realize how much we appreciate you two. I have been struggling so much since loosing my dear husband 4 months ago and your videos have really encouraged me to get back to my old self. The minute I get up in the morning I immediately check to see if you posted anything new. Last night the wind blew down a huge branch from the tree closest to the house. It’s so big & heavy that I can’t even move it. So of course I was upset & went inside to see if you had posted a video. Your relaxing afternoon video was just what I needed. So again I say thank you from the bottom of my heart! God Bless you and your beautiful family. ❤️

Dear Rosemary, I understand your struggle, and as one who lost her husband 7 years ago, I will say the first year is definitely the hardest first thanksgiving, first Christmas etc. Those firsts are hard. But it does get easier and I will pass on a word of wisdom given to me so many many years ago from a preacher, he said, "I want you and your family sit around tonight and tell funny stories about Tom, everything each of you can remember, and the laughter will start healing your heart." And praise the Lord, it does do just that. As the years have passed and I have lost so many members of my family and my late husbands family, we do this and the healing starts. I pray this will help you too. God Bless you.

I haven't lost my husband, but I have experienced loss. When my mother found out she had a brain tumor (months after my little brother had passed) and there was nothing they could do, she told me this...
Don't be sad, love. God has other plans for me. The Universe is vast, and people have been experiencing loss for thousands upon thousands of years here on earth. This right here is just a mear moment in time and it will soon pass. A blink, if you will. I know at this moment you hurt, but this too will pass. Time is fleeting here on earth, but this,it is not the end.
For some reason, her telling me that brought me peace. I think it has been over 20 years (I can't remember because I choose to remember her and her life, not her death), and I still talk out loud to her when I need to sort out life.

Hi Grandpa and Grandma 😊 It's the same with our critters/pets, till death do us part! Them or us! Grandma, I have heard or read that when a kitty puts their bum towards you that means they fully trust you and I believe it as that is a vulnerable area. God is good ALL the time and the power of prayer is beyond amazing! Grandpa, the chickens are scratching a trail through the tunnel for the other chickens to find their way lol. Take note it is the younger girls doing it, little adventurers, with Sophia leading the way! Yes, Miss Kitty is spoiled just like the rest of the animals, deservingly so. I am so pleased to hear that you are going to primarily scheduled feedings for the pups. I don't remember exactly how old they are, but they do seem to be in that transitional puppy to adult phase, so I understand the different opinions on frequency of feeding. 😊 As always, I loved seeing all of the animals!
Jacobi (2 years old) is learning the wormy dance little by little. If he's in another room and hears Grandpa say "wormy dance" he comes running. Perhaps I can catch him on video and send it to y'all. I will try. It's so precious! And he'll say, "That Batman, he's bad". Too cute!! Thank you Ralph and Leann for the entertainment as well as prayers. Thank you for another wonderful video. I love seeing how much further the chickens are venturing into the new area. One of these days, more and more will venture in. I like the shade screen put up as protection for them in the new area. I adore Miss Kitty coming to sit on Grandma's lap on top of the pillow. She has come such a long way from being a feral cat. She knew a good thing when she saw it, and decided to make friends with Grandpa, and then Grandma. Now she has a home for life, too, just like all of the other animals. Blessings to you all.

Our chickens are molting. We only have 6 hens (and 2 Roosters) we’re pretty excited to see eggs right now. We get enough feathers everyday to build a new bird!

Cooler temperatures, shorter daylight hours and molting really has an impact on egg production.
My Crested Cream Legbar from early spring hatch are still laying small blue eggs, I’m sure will be larger as they a get little older💖

I just adopted a new dog from a high kill shelter.
He's a Saint Bernard /Australian Shepherd mix
I named him Cooper... He was found as stray by animal control... Apparently the dog ran away from home... .Owner called animal control but never came to pick their dog up from animal control how sad.
Dog was put up for adoption and I adopted him🙂
Cooper was infested with fleas living out doors
Otherwise healthy. He's a nice dog that needs lots of love.
I will be picking up Cooper later on this week because he's getting neutered by the animal shelter vet.
Cooper will be a good addition to the homestead.🦆🐤🐱🐶🐾❤️

I am cheering the chickens on to use the chunnel, but I guess the ones that use it haven't told the rest. I always like to see the chickens. Ms Kitty sure likes to sit on Leanns lap with the pillow. mine likes to lay on top of my laptop which makes it difficult to use. I just love animals & I wish I was at least 40 yrs younger as I would love to have a place with at least chickens. But, as it is now, I get to sit on my sofa & watch you all work, which is good for me! LOL!

I want to Thank You and the whole Doss family for taking the time to share your days and life with everyone! My grandson came running saying that you had a new video out and he wanted to watch to see how mischievous Batman was today 😂 We're currently packing to move to our country property and are hoping to be settled before winter sets in. It's been a long 9 months of getting the property ready (a fixer-upper) We had delays due to the contractor not being able to source windows for the house. We still have a bit of work to do but it's not anything we can't do after moving. Hubby has said "once we've moved and are there full-time then we'll get our infrastructure in place for my grandson's animals for 4-H. I did finally get our grandson convinced we can't have a penguin 🐧 or a dolphin 🐬 for the pond! 😂 But he said he wants chicken's, goats and rabbits to start out. He told me today "mum mum I have researched and researched how to care and take care of all the animals we're going to be getting and I plan on helping with everything, even cleaning out there poop!" Bless his little heart. Most people don't understand that a child with special needs (autism) get super focused on things and you have to monitor them working. Anyhow he says that he enjoys the chicken dance and dances right along with Grandpa Doss! 😂 Grandma Doss hubby, my two daughters and grandson are all shut in's and have been for awhile so I understand being perfectly happy with being at home. I dread going to the store, but know that it has to be done. Have a wonderful evening! Much Love from our family to your family 💞

Oh that’s awesome. I’m sorry I’m just now seeing this. I’m a little behind again. You may be moved by now. He’s going to love having his animals to care for. (And so are you. 🤣) Seriously it will be so good for him though. I wish my boys would have had the opportunity to he a part of 4-H. They are learning now but 4-H is so good for kids. Hoping you get all settled in before it gets too cold. We’ve currently got a good spell settling in for a week or so. Went from high 70’s to highs of barely 40. Rain with possibility of snow as temps drop tonight. Fortunately Ralph had the animals shelters ready so everyone should be snug tonight and warm. @@grandpadossfarms it was in the 40's yesterday and today our high is suppose be 30's today but the wind-chill will be in the 20's. We're going to possibly get freezing rain.🥶 I would rather have 6-8 inches of snow or more than freezing rain. We went from summer temperatures to winter in less than 12 hours. By Friday of next week we will get back up in high 60's. I'm afraid I will have to invest in some winter clothes to keep me warm this winter. I'm glad Grandpa Doss was able to get everything ready for the animals for the cold weather. Much Love from our family to your family 💞

Blue Jay's are usually delivering a warning if they are diving towards the ground. When I was an older child I was going out to play and I saw the Blue Jay acting up and it was diving towards a Diamond Back Rattlesnake. I have been an avid bird watcher all my life. ❤❤❤

PRAYER REQUEST i am a diabetic, this is a small thing but i am having issues getting a podiastris appt for a infected ingrown toenail. Pray it heals. Thank you
My Grand daughter is diabetic and when she gets an infected toe, she uses Vick's vapo rub on it , and she says it helps. Just rub it in about three times a day.

Thank you for another great video. Blue Jays can mimic hawks, I have looked more than once in the trees thinking a hawk was near (my neighbor has chickens) and all I saw was a Blue Jay. They are also tattletales and eat baby birds. All of your animals are looking great, thanks for sharing. God bless.

Just want to tell you that it usually takes birds several days or more to get used to something new or something being moved to a new location.
Also, your pigs seem to be pretty smart! I think that is because you talk to them a lot and give them pretty much attention!
