Three Dog Night were an exceptional group of musicians. They had such great variety because they were a world class cover band. They were always able to find great songs without having to write them.

If a group were to perform this at American Idol or AGT there would be a flood of tears in the audience as well as the judges booth. Music such as this is timeless in its beauty, as well as immeasurable in its ability to touch the human soul. Simply amazing....
It's impossible for me to pick a favorite 3 Dog Night tune but this would be near the top along with Moma Told Me Not to Come. Had the privilege to see them in concert in my younger days. They put on a Hellav a show.
I went to the Monterey Pop festival 1967. You can pick any performers from of that festival and never go wrong. They all became legends in their own time. Scored some Augustus Owsley Stanley III purple haze acid and the rest is history.
I was only a kid when this song came out, but fell in love with it from day one. The Three dog night had plenty of juice back in the day, and great hits.
Love your reactions! I am in my 60's and I saw Three Dog Night three times here in Winnipeg Canada. They used to tour Canada a lot because the drummer was from Calgary , Canada. Never been to Spain would be a good one to do next. I look forward to your reactions everyday! Yep, you would need an afro and some bell bottoms and you would have fit right in! It is pure entertainment to watch you realize you know a song that was requested!
The purest
Thank you for not being afraid to be yourself. Laugh, be silly, be free, laid back, to enjoy music with options for the ears and mind. I am grateful for you, in our lives. Stay safe, and healthy!
Love your reactions! This is about the 5-6th reaction I've seen since last night (Saturday in the Park and I think Black Cow were a couple ) where you've realized you've heard these songs for most of your life. Good music never dies.
Unmistakable, unmatchable, unbelievable...Cory Wells. "Mr Voice" thank you for the great memories and music that you have left for us to enjoy.
Their song called "One" is amazing too. Thanks for your channel 😎
Oh definitely ... One always gets me in the deep feels !
I must say, I used to find joy in Reactor “discovering” music. Jamel “discovering” Artist of music he’s heard is a BLAST! I keep a smile on my face throughout these videos. So much FUN!
You would have fitted in really well in the 70's Jamel. Love your reactions.
3DN is one of the greatest live groups ever. Did not need AutoTune for squat, man. ❤️❤️❤️✌🏻
I grew up in this era and the music was magical! There is nothing like it these days. Even my 21 yo son agrees.
The awesome thing about Three Dog Night is that they aren't like a lot of bands where you hear a little and know immediately who it is. So many of their songs sound completely different from others. Still hope to hear "Out in the Country"
sunsungoaway that would be my request as well ♥️♥️ Love that song
Another one too: Pieces of April ❤️
Three Dog Night were an exceptional group of musicians. They had such great variety because they were a world class cover band. They were always able to find great songs without having to write them.
AMEN!
Out in the Country is my favorite!
“Pieces of April” by Three Dog Night, lovely ballad! I’ve got pieces of April, I keep them in a memory bouquet, I’ve got pieces of April, but it’s a morning in May....just lovely!
I forgot about this song!
Hey Jamel! Just subscribed. I am a "lady of a certain age"...61! Lucky enough to have enjoyed great music. Wish we could all hang and talk music. Really enjoy your reactions and light. ☮💜
I'm also 61 now (when did this happen!!!) and I get such a kick out of Jamel's channel.
@@deborahk5792 Same here!
& same age 😂😍 Didn't we have the best music ever? Jamal is keeping it real 💯 & alive.
I'm happy when I'm here!
If a group were to perform this at American Idol or AGT there would be a flood of tears in the audience as well as the judges booth. Music such as this is timeless in its beauty, as well as immeasurable in its ability to touch the human soul. Simply amazing....
OMG, yes, I would LOVE if someone did this song at an audition. Everyone would be on their feet!!!
Three dog night always brings the joy, just let it refill your tank and let your own light shine. Its contagious. Like acts of kindness.
Check out their song Black and White
Yes! Love that song!
Yes! Do Black and White...
Hi Forget about that one !!! THANKS.
was just going to suggest that one too!
I haven't heard that in years!
I love the expression you get when you realize you’ve heard the song before.
indeed !!! lol me too, you make me smile...now that's some Chicago
I was only a kid when this song came out,
but fell in love with it from day one. The
Three dog night had plenty of juice back
in the day, and great hits.
We still love this music. Every song is connected to a time, a memory, a place. I was magical. I'm so glad you are getting to experience it!
Shambala is a Tibetan Buddhist place of peace and love that exists on a different plane of existence. ✌🌻🌼
Jamal you appreciate every type of music ! its all good for the Soul. That’s what we really are , our soul, sometimes it’s shines very brightly for all to see! That’s the beauty of humanity!
My late father and I shared this song forever after he came back from the Vietnam War-this was our song. The lyrics really are close to heart that my parents are gone.
The guy in blue has music running in his blood! You cannot be still! Music is who he is. Never been to Spain, recalling! Classics as they are called today, still top the playing charts
They can all sing. Aboulutely love this band. That was definitely a feel good song.
You are the shepherd to bring the good music to the masses or them asses. love what you doing brother keep it up.
I remember listening to this when AM radio was happening.
Just heard this song for the 1st time, I'm blown away. Love it.
I started listening to this band when i was 17, im 68 now....still love this band. Beautiful harmonies. ❤ NZ
Fun Fact: Three Dog Night charted 21 singles from 1969-1975. Every single one was a top 40 hit (10 were top 10).
ted ritola Supertramp actually formed in 1969!
Some Supertramp would be awesome Jamel
I was 17 when i saw them in concert. I am almost 65 and have lost touch with them over the years. Thanks to you i'm getting my albums out and rockin' all over again.
I hear ya sister, seen them 3 times when they toured with CCR, i miss those days
I'm 53 ,12 years older than my wife, and I'm always forcing this music to her and my 2 youngest kids.
Vince Young we are in our 60’s and our girls grew up on our music!
Three Dog Night songs are imprinted on me. I was 12 in 1973 and danced all around the house to these lyrics and vibes. Such carefree music.
Some of the best music, ever. I’m turning my grandkids on to this, and all the music I grew up with. They absolutely love it….
The in the light blue is named Danny Hutton. He was born in Ireland and moved here with his parents when he was young. Sadly the one singing in the black suit Cory Wells passed away.
I don't care what kind of bad mood you're in...you hear this song and you're bopping along! Love it! Another good song that gets you singing along is Cover of the Rolling Stone by Dr. Hook.
If you want to treat yourself, check out their song “Eli’s Coming”.
Yesss
I second that!
Eli’s Coming -one of my favorites by the group
Thanks fo r reminding me Eli's coming
I'll 3rd that.
They got the three best singers in America together and called themselves three dog night.
It is amazing that there are people who can sing like this. The fact that three of them met and formed Three Dog Night is nothing less than a miracle! When I heard that Cory Wells had passed I was seriously saddened.
Great song by Three Dog Night, my favorite actually. It's nice to see younger people getting into 3 dog music, they have so many great songs, they sing, and have great talent. I miss artists like this, you know, that can actually sing.
You're helping me stay sane in these strange times. I keep expecting to see Rod Serling standing on a corner. Another awesome band and tune from them.
So glad to see you react to this masterpiece. I remember getting this tape when I was in 5-6th grade. Sadly, the amazing lead singer, Corey, passed away. RIP Corey.
Three Dog Night was comprised of just incredible, sweet-souled humans. I love the studio versions but these guys are pure joy live. Thank you for doing so many of their greats.
Shambala is the mystical magical destination of all Tibetan Buddhists. Being "on the road" in their tradition is the important thing. The journey, the path, not so much the destination.
Ol skool music was timeless and classic sounds. I'm glad to see someone your youthful age appreciate my era of music 😊😊😊😊😊😊
I’m so glad you young are discovering the music of my youth! This is still one of my favorite songs. So many memories. Makes you want to sing dance and smile
Who does belong in this era? Take me back to the best parts of that old time rock and roll and the best of the people who moved and grooved in ☮️ peace and ❤️ love .
💜☮️🇺🇸
@@tammybrennan2040 ☮️💕😁🇺🇸🤩😎
Feel so fortunate to have grown up with this music. Enjoy it brothers and sisters ✌️❤️
Patty-I love this band. Every time they came to town, my sister and I would get tickets to see them play. We were never disappointed. Glad you are enjoying them.
Great decade to live in. Best music
I was just itty bitty when Shambala was released. I can still remember my Mama putting Three Dog Night tapes in the 8-track player...we would both sing & dance our hearts out! Love them!
Shamballa (also spelled Shambala or Shambhala) is a Tibetan Buddhist mythical kingdom hidden somewhere in Inner Asia, beyond the hills of the Himalayas. :)
