    Here's a replacement glossary (I'm not with Easy Languages but I am a native speaker):
    1: Now then - Phrase used to introduce a new topic when speaking.
    2: mint - [here] good, great (British slang)
    3: dunno - contraction of 'don't know'
    4: kinda - contraction of 'kind of', meaning 'somewhat' or 'a bit', used to weaken phrase, e.g. 'I kind of like this movie' is not as strong as 'I like this movie'. Similar to 'sort of'.
    5: in't it - contraction of 'isn't it?' or 'is it not?', a question phrase put at the end of a statement for emphasis. e.g. 'This movie is good, isn't it?'
    6: Herbert - foolish person (British slang - rare)
    7: rough - [here] harsh, violent, not gentle
    8: cotton wool wrapped - safe, protected, often naïve or unaware of real world (British idiom - usually negative)
    9: UK Subs - a punk band
    10: Grim - horrible
    11: Cracking - excellent (British slang)

    • @cynthj
      @cynthj 7 лет назад +12

      I feel like 'grim' is more horrible but in sort of a dark, cold way? Good glossary - I was looking for the official one and can't find it.

    I've used your language learning series for my students, and it is really good. I do think you need to do something about your microphone settings, though. It does not sound right:)

    Where is the host? What is his name?
    I can't find more videos with him. (just 1st and 9th..)
    He is the best in the whole crew. Very charismatic.
    At least episodes with him seem the best.
