A tip for people learning german, look at only the english subs first, and then watch only using the German subs and then watch using only hearing. ;)
haha exactly what I just did.
I'll try it thnx :)
Fox Rintala good tip! I figure I'll go through and pick out words I don't know, add them to my vocabulary list, then try watching again without subs!
Interesting. I listen first (only hearing)... then maybe a second time if it was zzzuuupafast, then I read the German subtitles (because in my mind German and English are more closely linked than not)... and then finally I check to see whether my guess was correct based on the English subtitles. In other words, for me, it's most important to listen to the person and the sounds and body language... then only after I see how they said it, and hear the way they pronounced it do I focus on the subtitles..... because I think you have to --first-- listen with your "eyes." That is... 'how does someone say "ahm," or "also" or "machst" or "nein," etc. hmmm
Danke
I actually like that it is at a fast speed. An important part of learning any language is being able to listen and speak. It is taught far too slow. It is good to get an ear for how people really speak. Thanks for the video! Really good comprehensible input!
1:50 Das Baby geht allein auf der Straße lol
+Ana Maria Bogdan hahahahaah richtig
Ana Maria Bogdan ich sehe das auch 😂😂
Home alone 5 i guess :D
Leonie is honestly the most beautiful name I've ever heard.
I can't focus on the subtitles Nadine is just too cute
I only have a very small wish that "each of my eyes could look at each sub" simultaneously :))))))
me gusto mucho ,te agradezco,me recordo cuando estuve en Alemania
años atras
Saludos desde Argentina
That guy who said his name was 'Peter Punk' is awesome!! :)
Very good video. Many times a video will be filled with fanatically-polite textbook sentences. But this was natural and real.
Sehr gut! Danke.
That's quite useful! I tried to focus mostly on the dialog and the german subtitles, but the english traslation came in handy a few times...
we haven't stopped :) more will come :)
Thanks for the transcribe and translation, really helps make this a valuable resource :)
people enjoy listening Portuguese and french but I really enjoy listening to German, I don't understand a word but god, its so beautiful.
Thumbs up if you loved Peter Punk.
Rocío Aranda García Peter Punk was so rad!
Ich frag mich was aus dem Peter Punk geworden ist
Nice video! Thanks for uploading this!
i am just beginning to learn German (on my own) and these videos are very helpful for everyday speech.
danke
Danke.
These videos really help to understand conversational German.
Cheers for these videos they are fantastic!!!
That one guy advocating the pogo party made me laugh so hard. I love the random questions he ask them. Germans sure are open about there answers.
he was a good interviewer!
Pretty good Idea, to interview people about easy and familiar topics, it is helping me to learn it, thaaaanke shön
I wish I had 4 eyes to read both subs at once.
if two arent enough for you then 4 wont be much help either
Ever heard of the pause button? is on the lower left hand corner. if you are really trying to learn, it's the least effort you can do.
genau !
wear glasses and you will have 4 eyes.
ffuentese Two brains would be more useful.
Keep up the good work!Mach weiter so!
Very good! Thanks for this wunderbar work!
Ich Freue mich, das du diese Video gepostet hast!
Wow these are so helpful. Danke!
Great job on these videos. I enjoy watching them even though I don't study German at all.
I'd love to see a French version of this!
this is so great for the beginners to get the language situation sense and the native accents
thx for sharing the videos !!
thanks for ur videos! they are so useful =D
I hope you make some more german lessons videos. I quite enjoyed listening to these. And I have them queued up on my playlist to get me accustomed to hearing German spoken.
I am very lazy to go to language classes, I speak Indonesian, English, Spanish, Arabic, German is on going, and your videos are great, it helps me a lot, wish you a very great time, thank you
great work man!!
Really useful chanel guys keep going. Best regards from Ecuador.
Yeah! Ihr habt es wieder gemacht! Good Job!
Grenko, your german film is awesome ;D
great idea to learn phrases! Danke Team
in school we learn 'hochdeutsch', and my german friends say that no one really speaks that anymore, for example in the video, they say the word 'shoppen' as 'shopping', but in school we learn it as 'einkaufen'. i wish our schools taught real german :)
+aitken. CS GO, ROCKET LEAGUE AND MORE FUNNY MOMENTS! actually we use 'shoppen' more for getting new clothes and 'einkaufen' mostly for food. But 'einkaufen' is the correct way to say it, if you use 'shoppen' exspecially older people might be confused..
레아 i talked to my friend from germany and i took a picture of some german homework i got, and he said it's really nothing like they speak in real life.
Of course we all have our own dialects here in Germany but I as a native German can say that it's absolutely correct what they teach. You need to learn 'Hochdeutsch' first and after a few years you maybe can get the differences between Hochdeutsch and our Alltagssprache^^
„Einkaufen“ is real german! „Shoppen“ is an English word that’s only used by teenagers. Pls keep saying einkaufen!
English words are cancer for the german language!
these videos are very helpful, thank you!!
great videos !!!!
please continue to make more of these and upload them !!!
i love german people and their kulture !!!!
thank you very much for these videos! they are very helpful in their repetition! you are super!
Thank you for these videos. I watch them over and over. Great idea, and I'm amazed at how the German people react to you. It's different here in America
Absolutely fantastic! My German is really improving all the way over in South Carolina with your help!! Thank you.
Danke fürs Hochladen !
@Sharukkin
Hamburg is the best place in Germany you can imagine. They all speak "normal" German. There are local dialects but don't worry about that. They will always use the "normal" German speaking to you. You will have to be lucky even to meet some people speaking the northern dialect. (also called: Frisian languages) In South Germany they speak a different kind of a dialect (also called: Bairische Dialekte) Most of the people in the South speak "normal" German too.
that's a good one! thanx very much!
I have been studying German language for about 3 months now and so happy that I can understand what the people on the vid saying.
Sehr gute Idee!! Ich bin aus Argentinien und hab' Deutsch zu hause gelernt und da ich nicht so oft üben kann bekomme ich manchmal Angst die Wörter zu vergessen. Diese Videos sind eine sehr gute Übung für mich, also DANKE ich euch :) !!!
I LOVE THESE LESSONS. Please keep them up...although I think you ahve stopped already. Sehr gut
Wow! Nadine is gorgeous ❤️
Danke! Das ist sehr nützlich ❤
cool video, I'm trying to learn Deutsch and such video's are very useful thanks!
@nacht98
youtube took it out because I had unlicenced music on it. Check the info box for the link.
I have a lot of vocabulary I need to look up now! I like hearing people speak normally and at a normal/casual pace- most educational material is ultra slow paced for beginners, but after a point that's not very helpful. I like this.
Just love these.
Thanks ;) It is very useful.)
So cool watching this old videos
Magauchsein, many thanks for the explanation (and your patience with beginners like me)
All the videos are good, but this one i keep watching over and over, it's so great =)
great job once again
Vielen Dank, es ist so praktisch!! :-) Mit freundlische Grüßen aus Pilsen.
You guys are doing a very good job. Anyway I would like to give one suggesstion: try not to put too many topics in one episode. If it is: "Hobby" or "Was machst du hier?" try not to ask too many questions on completely different topics, for example the future. Can`t wait to watch the next episode :)
w opisie filmu (w tym polu informacyjnem pod filmem) są wszystkie adresy :D zapraszamy :D
Diese sind sehr hilfreich. Bitte mehr!!
Thank you, thank you, you put this in English!!!Makes it easier to understand!!! Danke Schon, Ich freund mich sehr!!!🇩🇪🇩🇪🇩🇪🇩🇪🇩🇪🇩🇪Ich liebe Deutschland!!!🇩🇪🇩🇪🇩🇪🇩🇪❤️❤️❤️❤️

Fuck! German grammar really fucks my mind up! Damn!
Nope! Then learn its grammar exactly. And it's very proper language to learn. Good luck.

It's difficult for me to know and remember the genders of nouns. is there any way to learn besides repetition of each and every word?
liquidbullet5 Check up somewhere for the regularities There are a lot and they help. For instance all nouns ending with "ung" will be feminin. Like "Genesung" or "Heilung" it alway is "die Genesung", "die Heilung". But basically you need to understand how important it is to learn the genders together with the noun. And if you really understand it then you will never think: "Tisch" for "Table" but always "der Tisch", "das Haus", "die Frau" usw. And if you speak German you need to decide for the gender quick. Maybe you will be wrong but you will use the consequent grammar right. I live 30 years in Germany and I'm still guessing a lot of nouns. But all those who I use all the time I really know together with the gender.
liquidbullet5 Well you could try yourself at exposing yourself to the language only ( = listening/reading only ), instead of trying to learn grammar rules and vocabulary by heart since the exposure way is more fun to do in my opinion ;D
your brain is very narrow, that's why :)
manupee, many thanks for your explanation. I have managed to understand the sentence now with Magauchsein's help (and yours). Thanks again.
@Igaluit
check our "language interviews", they are sort of a longer interview with one person of interest. We also have our studio interviews, but we show them without subtitles.
really coooooool...keep it up boy!
Please continue making more of this videos!. And perhaps even making some having slightly increased levels of difficulty, such as a longer interview with one person of interest.
very helpful to those of us studying german -- hope you will do more; danke!

I am waiting for the next!! German is so hard by the way.
Lots of extremely useful expressions of everyday life. You guys had an excellent idea to work on a program like that. Please, keep going. I wish you a lot of good luck and a huge success with it!

Argentina
PeppermintHeaven, Many thanks for your reply. I may have been making an unnencessary fuss about nothing really. I do appreciate that correct word order is quite important in written German but perhaps not so much in spoken German. And of course, these videos are there to teach us beginners how real German is actually spoken in Germany (which is different to text book German). I think the videos are just excellent. Thanks again for your explanation.
es ist erstaunlich wie schön diese videos sind :) für die Leute die in Deutschland studieren wie ich, man kann bei Ihnen so viel lernen ,eigentlich lerne ich mehr hier als mein deutschkurs :P haha
