  • If your over 50 and considering a procedure to get rid of glasses, you should consider RLE or Cataract Surgery before considering laser procedures such as LASIK. Since your natural lens has stiffened, LASIK would likely NOT provide you full range of vision without glasses. And if it does, it's not going to last. RLE and Cataract Surgery are ways to permanently improve your range of vision without glasses. Not everyone is a candidate so make sure you discuss your options with your surgeon.

    Thank you drKrad for sharing very clear video record , very confident to see how careful you are with all surgical steps, I m waiting to hear your conclusion from long term vision result comparison among all top new launching IOL : odyssey clearview3 and envy , and if possible with Hoya gemetric , hoping to safely choose the lowest risk lens design with best contrast near vision for my own RLE , after reluctantly waiting for lens technology to solve Panoptix imperfection for many years.

    Nice view as always but i saw comments debating lasik vrs no lasik.. so in this case it will give some clearance if u can share the myopic power and near vision power .. so we can compare lasik will not be beneficial for near correction n also myopia in this case or not

    Doctor in your experience envy is better than panoptix?

    • @officience1
      @officience1 23 дня назад +1

      Sure. Panoptix is tinted. That's a minus. You can never see true colors of image with tinted or blue hue lenses. I'd go for colorless transparent lenses

    I would do LASIK 100% of the time before 60year old in a clear lens

    • @drnitin1191
      @drnitin1191 23 дня назад

      My personal opinion is that if you have myopia and want to get rid of glasses, get it done before 40, if you wait till 50/60 there's still no point as you'd be developing a cataract anyway post 50/60 years of age at some point for which you'd definitely be needing A cataract surgery with IOL implantation. Know what I mean? What's the point in getting Lasik done and in a few years immediately getting cataract surgery done. Makes no point plus wastage of money

    • @muriloborges9481
      @muriloborges9481 23 дня назад +1

      @ I’m talking about clear lens exchange…I prefer doing LASIK than this in a patient less than 60y old, but I know in US they prefer to do RLE…Even with the best MFIOL you have loss of contrast sensitivity bc these lens divide light to give more focus (Far-Intermediate-Near)

    • @drnitin1191
      @drnitin1191 23 дня назад

      @@muriloborges9481 i completely agree with opting for LASIK over RLE. Yes. Nothing beats having your own Natural lens inside, not even the best IOL can match our natural lens, true that
