The Story of Theon was such a gut wrenching rollercoaster. Never being to high on the Hill of Grace, but his fall was deeper and darker than anyone of us could imagine. Then somehow we found ourselves pleading for a Young Man who had strayed too far. His punishment was severe, his redemption was as deep as the sea. His reward was having an opportunity to apologize to the Young Boys he murdered in Heaven. His Humbling Journey was epic, and no one will ever envy it...but many learned from it! The Ego is a Pricey Thing, we ALL have to learn how to NOT allow it to cost us EVERYTHING or EVERYONE. Theon paid unbearable prices for his.
You know it goes not talked about much in GOT convo but Theon was a good kid just got lost for sec and in that sec he was captured by evil and transformed and peeled only thing that came back was the good kid.
If Jon had been raised a Targaryen, I truly believe he wouldn't have been half the man his character was. Ned Stark was the best father this show put out.

But then The rebellion happens and rhaegar and his children die (except for Jon) and it’s all for not until Daenerys and Jon. He believed he needed three children, but impregnated Lyanna out of love and mercy for Elia.
Theon ended up being such a good character. The actor playing him really got into character it's like he was really Theon you could see it in his eyes looked like he really went through it all

This dark haired man on the right talking to the blonde has brought me to tears. I don't know the context or story but, as an actor his gentle and subtle portrayal of strength, anger, forgiveness, honor, brotherly love, and empowerment in a few seconds made an Awesome scene with both men quite touching.
Without getting too spoilery, the one on the left, his father rebelled against the kingdom some time ago before the start of the show and was defeated. Left guy was taken effectively hostage by the king and given to his friend to raise, the friend being the father of the guy on the right. Contrary to expectations, that guy raised him well and treated him like one of his own sons. He ended up making some bad decisions to try and get the approval of his former rebel father and goes downhill and basically loses both families and ends up in a bad place, figuratively and literally. This is his first encounter with one of the boys he grew up with in probably a decade, after his series of mistakes and sins

The fact that he got these words of affirmation from Jon and not Robb is what kills me too. Robb was more of a brother to Theon than Jon was and yet Robb was one of apparently many people in Winterfell who kept reminding him that he wasn’t a Stark
I think there's some beauty in that too. Everyone told Jon he wasn't a Stark until the end when his siblings told him he was. Maybe it's the same feeling for Theon. Growing up around the Starks and being told he's not a Stark while also feeling like he's not a Grayjoy because he didn't grow up with his family, must have put a terrible weight on his shoulders. Feeling like he doesn't belong, just like Jon did. Really sad, though maybe that's why it was best coming from Jon. Because he and Theon were a lot alike. So maybe he felt like if Jon could forgive him, he could start to forgive himself.
I grew up with cousins who technically shared no blood with me because 1417 their ancestor had the last name McMillan and it was changed to Morgan to protect them and their sister as well so they couldn't be harmed because they were a Morgan and a decade passed and it was later announced who they really were so they could claim their property and when it came time to sign for the old possessions they wrote Morgan as their last name and my father told me that family is just blood its just people who care for one another the bond between siblings is strong but if you are raised by a good father and mother you will be part of those who guide you in life cherish yourself and others

You know what hits me about this scene. Jon tells Theon that he can be both a stark and a Greyjoy, yet when Jon’s parentage is revealed he’s pretty much forced to choose between being a stark or a Targaryen, and in the end it tears him apart a bit.
You know, I don't think he actually had to choose between the two. His father was more like the Starks than he ever was like the Targaryens. Probably why he loved Lyanna so much. Read about him in the books and you'll see it. He and Ned would have been best buds in a different life.
This is why Jon is a true king and leader. He thinks about what’s best for his people and the whole before he even considers himself. And he is able to see people for who and what they truly are, no matter what they put directly in front of his face.

It’s kinda difficult to say some on like Danerys who got all those sweet names from kingdoms from the east didn’t show compassion and wisdom …. Theons expresion depicts the moment where he realizes that him being both a gj and a stark is what he always wanted to be, his problem was that he thought he needed to choose, when jon said that to him you can tell that he had never thought about it like that, he was too accuppied trying to prove himself to his father, whom btw didnt give a rats ass about him at all, his sister however did, and she did not have a problem with him choosing whatever side he wanted to be with, even tho she was so proud, she still loved her lil brother regardless of his lastname.

Man. Theon indeed went through it. Of course like a lot, there was a time I disliked him for his actions. I felt pity for his punishments and who he became. Then I felt respect for his courage in overcoming his trauma. He was redeemed well. And though the last bits of the show went downhill, he gave his life for Bran and the realms of men with such valor, in the face of the dead, standing his ground to the last man. Truly honorable.

Man loved Theon’s arc of redemption. Probably one of the more underrated well written characters.
When it finally came down to it, Theon stood for the right thing. He didn't back down. He knew what was coming, and he faced it like a warrior.
Even after everything Jon starts with "Our father." ❤

Theon is one of the best character arches ever written

Man. Theon indeed went through it. Of course like a lot, there was a time I disliked him for his actions. I felt pity for his punishments and who he became. Then I felt respect for his courage in overcoming his trauma. He was redeemed well. And though the last bits of the show went downhill, he gave his life for Bran and the realms of men with such valor, in the face of the dead, standing his ground to the last man. Truly honorable.
theon is so underrated...he potrayed it amazing, such an amazing story about him...
