Ouch. Thanks for watching!
@careenaalexis sorry it was meant to say flue! Lol
Thank you for all of your videos Careena. New to your channel but you provide excellent objective opinions about all the equipnent yoy use. Thank you.
Love you and your camping skills, wish that l were there!
Also wear your asteroid protection helmet so self-aggrandizing safety Nazis don’t ruin your YT channel…
I love these overnights Careena, so fun and that sandwich looked so yummy 👍🏻 I also really appreciate your passion for vintage gear much of which I grew up with and still use such as hurricane lamps 😉 Thanks for bringing us along! 💜
Hope Griz is still doing well!
Loved this camping trip but I love all your videos. Thanks for taking us all along ❤
Yes, she has advanced skills.
That intro though... incredible! You really outdid yourself Careena 👍
Glad that you were able to get out there and enjoy those gorgeous snowy woods :)
Wishing yourself and Brandon the happiest of holidays my friend!
Thank you so so much!! Same t =o you!!
@@careenaalexis You're very welcome! Thank you :)
I've been away awhile. I was just wondering what happened with your dog. I truly enjoyed watching him play around?❄️❄️👍
Winter camping is the BEST! Love the opening sequence.
Thank you so much for watching!
How's griz doing? I have not seen him in a while. How's the house going
Nice video and that sandwich looked good. I’m sad to hear you don’t have Griz anymore. What happened to him?
👍👍👍👏💪🌲🌲🌼🌺
kicking back with Careena once again, hell yeah 🙌🏻 😄
looked very warm in that tent 🔥😅
I'm with you 100% on the merino base layer Careena! I live at 5,000 feet in Colorado and merino wicks, breathes and keeps me warm. It's naturally fire resistant and fights funky odors. Love the way you combine old school and cutting edge gear!
Thank you so much for using & RE-using gear. Finding & using resources in nature rather than buying gimmicks. It's obvious you care for the planet, & I for one appreciate that about you & your family. ❤ Greetings from USA!
Careena
Great video, it is always fun to watch you do these short trips. It always amazes me how you get all of that equipment in such a small space. My winter sled is usually 50 to 75 pounds. You do so much with so little plus you have the drone and camera gear. 👍
Thanks so much for watching!
Nice flip
Great video careena. Little overnight camping trip is fun. Take care and have a blessed and safe weekend
Thanks for watching!
Stunning camp. Love a snowy camp but I tend to only use my hammock. Not had the pleasure of a hot tent camp but it does look toasty 🏕️
Great quick winter trip! I think this will be the year i finally get my hot tent and stove. I love winter and cold! Enjoy! Cheers from Ohio
Always hate when your cooking. I get SO freaking hungry. 😂🤣 I will be making that sandwich tomorrow. Had no idea! Looked awesome!!! Thanks C!!! A+!!!👍🏻👍🏻😎😎😎
Awesome overnighter ⛺️👍🤩
What cheese did you use for the sandwich?
Brie :)
That intro was beautiful, awesome job! And your sandwich looked absoluteiy delicious! All I can say is another great video! Thanks for taking us along! Take care and stay safe!
Thanks for taking us along Careena. You're a pleasure to watch setting up a winter camp . And of course right on with the merino wool base layers. Very useful for spring or fall trips too .
Thanks so much as always Alex!! Merino is the BEST!!
Love the old oil lamp lantern. We have several and use them a lot. Nice touch to a winter camping adventure. I love that you enjoy camping in the wintertime and enjoy snow storms.
Hey careena, thanks also for you to show us your activity in the winter. I love this so much to see stay war, in the tent on a nice fire inside. Thanks for you 🥰🤗
Genial 👍🤩👌😂🎉
Will die soon this winter camping alone in the ridge, nobody will find me, I will take care to minimize my suffer. Take care and much love to all.
I'm so jealous of this camping trip you just had, we camped in the winter a lot in western mountains of Pennsylvania when I was living there. Thanks for bringing back sweet memories of those trips long ago for me :)
Genial 👍🤩😂🎉
Brrrrr
Been a while since I’ve watched any you tube, it was a great treat that the first thing that came up was you. Just as enjoyable as I remembered.
Hi 👋 I ijan from Malaysia 🇲🇾 Kuala Lumpur.. first time follow your RUclips channel... enjoy your camping.outdoor activities and have fun 😊 ok
What type of Bushcraft knife is that?
Custom made Finnish Puukko :)
Looking good. Hope you and Brandon and family are well.
"Man tager hva man haver" - You use what is near....Wet forest is enough.....Impressive packing of the stove.
Great video! The most beautiful camping girl. Enjoy your content!
chuklez ... sometimes this ch should just be called cabellazz.... :) do they ship to united kingdom?
Wonderful times, i love this.
Let me tell you from experience, absolutely make sure that you take a battery operated carbon monoxide detector with you, whenever you do this. Especially after the fire dies down, and you have charcoal burning down. If you do what you're doing long enough, youll thank me, I promise.
Alexis found your vblog, you’re awesome still schooling me
"gorwing up" (ages 12-18) my parents lived on 8 acres near a creek (brandywine in PA,USA) and we always lit the path and the table creekside with oil lanterns :D
Hi Careena
New subscriber. I love your vidoes. Very common sense and down to earth discussion on your prospective of outdoor living. Thank you for the refreshing approach to your videoes and keeping it real. Merry Christmas
I have a few hot tents now, but I always go back to my original teepee. Love it, cozy and easy to set up in the snow. Always a pleasure to see ya gittin out and enjoying the snow! We’re expecting some tonite. Totally stoked 💪 winter camping rules. Thanks for letting us tag along!
teepee design is so solid. Mine withstood a hell of a thunderstorm last weekend.
Я то думаю почему так топор неуклюже держишь, а ты оказывается женщина 😅👍
Haha not gonna lie when I heard the music I thought it was gonna be a Flash of Beauty Bigfoot episode lol. I was about to get even more excited lol. Love the video, love the tent purdy much the same set up I use. Good stuff really enjoyed
Once again you never seem to disappoint. Great video and I could almost taste that sandwich as i drooled all over myself. I knew it would be a good video as you have the hat and T-shirt been there did this . Brightest blessings to you and your family . Have a Happy New Year and hopefully you get to spend it with the Hub. Keep up the great videos.
wind audible during beginning of video but no branches moving and snow falling straight down. Looks like the big snow storm fizzled.
Top notch as ever. Can't help but wonder why these types of stoves aren't made a bit... bigger to avoid hourly replens throughout the night allowing ,say, 3 hour sleep patterns? They must exist but haven't encountered one yet.
To be honest I don't think it's the size of the stove so much as how crafty it is, it's not airtight AT ALL so it burns so hot that everything burns up faster than it would in an airtight stove. That's just my observation from using it over the past year or so. Thanks so much for watching!
In what area are you??? Raining here in ottawa and suroundings......we can t wait for snow !!!!!! 😊😊
A bacon-apple sandwich? I’ll have to try that sometime. 😂
So nice to see you relaxing, enjoying yourself while camping, etc…. Thanks
Glad you enjoyed it
Great to see you, is that American bacon looked like it to me. As always have a great day griz and family to
Greetings from Türkiye 🇹🇷
Well you are a woman that does something that 95% of the men in usa are not capable to do so props for that but snowstorm. dont think i buy that one:)
Great little overnight camp Careena. Editing was spot on. I’ve still got my Paraffin lantern from the 70s when I was in the scouts. I used it recently when I had a power cut due to bad weather. I’ve got other modern forms of emergency lighting but I love the smell and the gentle glow of the lantern. Just gives you that cosy feel around you. 👍
Haha totally, I love the nostalgic and cozy feel of a lantern! Thanks for watching and commenting as always David!!
please send that snow to the u.k lol ...we get a 2cm flurry and the world is about to end lol.
I'm changing my all charging lights to gas that Lantern is so good I have two of them they are Amazing
Where in the world did you store that smokestack for your little stove on the way in/
Aren’t you meant to look out for bears or maybe weasels or even cane toads before you pitch your tent?
Nice to see a camping video with out ladies taking off all their clothes!
Another great video. Good job. See you on your next adventure. Have a wonderful weekend!
Thanks so much Dennis!! Always appreciate your kind comments!
11:20 apple Brie cheese bacon, I must try that. Careena
Bigfoot is out there watching you.....
Im jealous, it just refuses to snow where i am....
The only time food is meant to look pretty is in a restaurant lol
You are beautiful ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🤩 lady
this whole setup is dope af i wish i could afford that stove
What a great video and a great worker.
Nice video work on intro. Gear review👍.

SÜPER STAR BRAVO
Where's your dog? I miss him.
Another deaf mute video
Your camping is beautiful!🏕️
I was impressed.✨
Your video became the splendid hint.
It will update my camping.⛺️
I enjoy Japanese beautiful nature, too.🇯🇵🌸🏝️🍁⛄️
hi, plan rajasthan india trip
Great outing.. I've never camped in a hot tent before.
Thanks for the video
Appreciate you freezing and doin all that schlepping.. so i can enjoy a relaxing video.. my bones cant do cold anymore. Lol. Enjoy it while you're young. What was cool in my 20s, not so much in my 50's lol.. love that stove.. god bless you and Brandon, have a Merry Christmas and a peaceful holiday season.. much love from Michigan
I have to say nice camp setup. However, I'd have to have a floor included in my tent. Other than that, seems nice, warm and cozy... Thumbs Up!
In my experience doing this for many years, a floor is clunky, heavy and would actually be a LOT less convenient than you would think. Not only would the snow melt unevenly under your stove, your floor would then freeze to the ground and would be impossible to pack up.
…thank you Careena…
Brother, the camp you made is simply amazing, it's a great effort, I really enjoy watching your videos, greetings from Turkey.🇹🇷🇹🇷🇹🇷🇹🇷❤️🌹
I love these tents. They remind me of my time when I lived with the Lenni Lenape and slept in a lodge. It is the best design for heat
les images sont tout simplement exceptionnelles🙏👌🙌😀
You go girl. MERRY CHRISTMAS to you and your family. 🎄🎄🎄🤶🤶🎅🎅Happy new year. 😊
Careena, how fun and relaxing huh? Very nice 👍 Ive never camped in or on the direct snow before. On my bucket list for sure! Your sandwich looked amazingly delicious too!! Definitely gonna fix it next trip out! Ty for sharing!! Always enjoy all your adventures!! Camp on❤️❤️👍😎 🏕️
Love bacon grease in the hair, yum yum... Great video Careena, love how you truly enjoy bushcrafting in the snow. Simply gorgeous
Thank you for this video. It would appear you had a great camp-out. I love those kerosene lanterns.
The only complaint I could make against those stoves is what you noted: Having to feed it every hour or so.
I wonder how long a full charge of anthracite coal would burn, with the draft pinched down to the bare minimum? I must summon up the courage to purchase the largest titanium stove and see how long I can make it burn anthracite.
Watching you make that sandwich reminded me of the way my Mother made "greasy bread"---when bacon produced a lot more grease than it does today. (I am 71.) After the bacon, home fries, and eggs came two or three lightly toasted slices of bread. Each got a quick dab into a skillet of bacon grease, a sprinkle of finely-chopped, sauteed onions, and a tiny dash of salt 'n' pepper. (O! Dearest Mother, just once more!) Then out the door for a day of sled-riding!
So... I thank you for evoking that memory.
Looks like a well seasoned piece of cast iron ya got there; for a Lodge that is ;-) . Love your solo stuff especially when you lean into more of the "traditional" style. Seeing younger folks carrying on the traditional ways and using those skills warms the heart of this old grey beard. What some younger folks call nostalgic stuff, I just call "gear". Keep driving on.
Sweet little trip Careena. Nice winter gear, I cant wear wool it makes me itch!
Another great video! Nothing like fried eggs in bacon grease.. I'm not sure if it's available near you, but look for Falls Brand bacon. It's made here in southern Idaho but shipped all over the world.
YUM-YUM
My hats off to you. You go and do your thing. Absolutely amazing. Peace and Blessings from the state of Connecticut ❤❤❤❤
Excellent video, and setup Careena. That tent you're using. I can't find it. On the net. I love it. It looks like the one, we used in the Scouts. And have no worries. The raggedy Ann look. Is adorable. Lol. Cheers 🍻
Amazing intro.
Hello Careena, good to see you and your channel back. Where's your awesome dog Griz?
Be well, be safe!😊
There’s absolutely nothing wrong with using the vintage stuff. It’s got this campy atmosphere or character that the modern stuff just don’t have.
As always thank you for sharing. You and your hubs have provided me so much enjoyment, joy and knowledge this year. The old Coleman lantern was my companion when i started camping in the early 50s. I do appreciate your view on camping and life. Peace Out.
How can I come back?
Love your videos as always, have the opposite challenge - we are about to reach peak Summer heat in Australia, so I am reluctant to use my camping equipment, unless I can find a spot near a waterway for a swim, which is remarkably difficult, where I live is the extremely popular Gold Coast, so all options are blocked by privately owned land. I could camp in a caravan park, but that defeats the joy of wilderness camping. I will keep searching and be prepared to drive 100’s of kilometres.
hello Careena i have been flowing you for years, i enjoy your video and i must say i never notice your eyes but you have very beautiful eyes.(i'm not flirting) and do you still play the guitar and sing, sweet home Alabama i remember that. take care Chas P. stay strong
Super cool you 👍🏻
I really enjoyed this video. I like the whole hot tent experience. You rock.
Play safe princess.
