Excuse me!? As a fan of musicals and Idina Menzel, it did give me chills. "Let It Go" has similarities to "Defying Gravity" from _Wicked_ , where Menzel originated the role of Elphaba on Broadway. Both songs are about not letting anyone or anything tie you down. Both come at pivotal moments for the main character. Both are the signature song for their respective musical.

As great as "Stayin' Alive" is, it's not even the best song from that movie. "Night Fever", "How Deep Is Your Love", "More Than A Woman", and "If I Can't Have You" are all masterpieces. Best movie soundtrack ever.
Love the list! I have to assume Purple Rain would've been #21. I'm was working in a music store during the Christmas holidays when Titanic was out, and My Heart Will Go On wasn't available as a single, yet. That song single-handedly catapulted the Titanic to be one of the biggest selling soundtracks of all time. Everyone wanted that song for Christmas, so the soundtrack sold like crazy!
Ah so that's what Deadpool was referencing in that Teaser for the first movie. It's Flashdance! It feels good to get that connection after all this time. I knew the other one for Deadpool 2 was an art piece where initially they're supposed to be touching fingers and it's two angels but instead it's Deadpool and Cable touching guns so I got that reference at the time
Two angels??? I haven't seen the trailer for the 2nd Deadpool, but it sure sounds like you're describing Da Vinci's Sistine chapel ceiling painting of God touching life into Adam. Are you really unfamiliar with what that is???
Not only a hit movie, but a hit song, "Jesus Christ Superstar" the Ensemble led by Carl Anderson. Yvonne Elliman, I Don't Know How to Love Him, . THAT, well, those, are omissions no one else will mention.

'When you were young and your heart was an open book'
Epic.
Iconic.
There is so many awesome songs that could be on this list. Im surpised there was songs i havent even heard before! I love movies but apparantly not i didnt see all of them and some movies i seen and loved but dont recall the song you picked. 🤔🤔🙄🙄 oh well, life will go on and on.. 😂🤣😂🤣
Over the rainbow is the coolest and iconic song ever of The Wizard of Oz and this song give us our childhood in all the time in the movie
The 80s gave us the best movie theme songs. What a decade!
And are the most memorables 😊
My favourite song from the movies is "The Glory Of Love" by Peter Cetera, from The Karate Kid Part 2. It's also one of my favourite songs, full stop.
Some of these movies are just awesome. Don't have music or movies like this anymore
Rainbow Connection is my all time favorite song. 🌈
View to a Kill was the first Bond song to be #1 on Billboard.
As great as "Stayin' Alive" is, it's not even the best song from that movie. "Night Fever", "How Deep Is Your Love", "More Than A Woman", and "If I Can't Have You" are all masterpieces. Best movie soundtrack ever.
I agree!
Billy Ocean's When Tough gets Tougher

@@wallyman292 I know about it I just couldn't remember what it was called but yes there was a promo of him and Cable parodying it
I will always love you should have been number 1. RIP Whitney
Push it to the Limit from Scarface should have had at least an honorable mention
What about rush rush do the yayo from scarface
Agree I have that song on my phone
Bahahaha
Okay, now I want to go watch all of my favorite 80’s movies. I’m seeing a theme (no pun intended) of 80’s music.
I just looove the Lion King. I've seen it so many times and I still cry every time. 😅
Not only a hit movie, but a hit song, "Jesus Christ Superstar" the Ensemble led by Carl Anderson.
Yvonne Elliman, I Don't Know How to Love Him, . THAT, well, those, are omissions no one else will mention.
Kenny Loggins had one more up his sleeve and you forgot about it; I'm alright from Caddyshack
