I’m jealous, I feel like he’s going to do a great job for their team and organization as a whole. Congrats to him and to them, I think this was Canada’s best case scenario and it came true
Lol Charlie thinking Alistair Johnston is only “okay”😂. The guy plays for Celtic and has proven he can play against top competition. He was phenomenal last World Cup and against the Netherlands last night
The big thing about this new Manager higher is not just coaching, but recruiting. There are so many Dual Nationals Canada has missed on…never mind Bono…how about Tomori, born in Calgary AB with dual citizenship to England, but unlikely he will ever feature in a Major tournament cap for England. What an amazing guaranteed Center Back option Canada would have had, and the player could have played in 2 World Cups and a Copa America. for England. The similar losses of Stefan Mitrovic, Flores, Morris. Now we need to recruit Kolyosho, Farsi, Jebbison who already have one foot out the door. Not worried about Marsch’s in-game management.
Jesse is a really good coach. Leeds was not an easy club to go into and I thought he did fairly well. Hopefully he does really well with Canada and I think they'll get out of their group
The USA is top dog in CONCACAF but Canada has the talent to challenge IF they get beyond their CBA woes and get properly organized. I'm not sure if that will happen, but if it does, look out as they have some real ballers in contrast to the American lunch-baggers.
@@samuelrigaud6595 yes but they had a chance to end up in bowl 3 rather than 4 and pretty much through their last window away... it was clear woke politics had already started to poison the team.
WOW This is how I know where Jesse Marsch’s loyalty lies…He’s gonna coach Canada to mediocre results like his last two jobs and take them out of serious running for CONCACAF! For the USMNT to keep dominating! A staunch, proud American! Great job Coach!!

@@Life0fBri- A manager who doesn’t manage isn’t a “manager”. Jesse has been out of the game to attract any offers. He needed something and getting to lead a nation into the Copa America & World Cup after not having worked in nearly a year and a half (in what should be the prime of his career) is a golden opportunity. He thought that he would get a new job 14 months ago, 12 months ago, some time during this past season and yet he continued to look for something above taking an MLS job. Canada 🇨🇦 going into a World Cup that they are co-hosting is better than an MLS job and better than a podcast.
Canada wont be able to win against either Peru or Chile. Those are huge footballing nations, with great tradition, Copa America titles and really competitive local leagues that play Copa Libertadores. Hate to break it to you, but Canada is coming in last in that group.
Jesse Marsch is a horrible manager, with schoolyard tactics. I mean this, in all circles, but Gregg Berhalter coaches circled around Jesse. And, this is coming from a guy who thinks GGG is literally meh.
I despise Charlie and his arrogance. I actually despise this American arrogance. This conversation could have been focused on how this hiring (which many Canadians despise, including former national players) would affect Canada and the development of the sport, but instead, it's all about Jesse, who to me, has a failing record. And the goof beside the girl is garbage. I take offence to most of what he farts out his mouth.
Terrible choice an American a RIVAL leading the Canadian National team onto the pitch ..disgusting ...a bit of patriotism has been lost ...just call it THE MLS AMERICAN NATIONAL TEAM

We aren't really rivals though? I'm a little upset he didn't replace Berhalter, but I think he will do a fine job for Canada. Canada is already top heavy and that's exactly Jesse's style.
