  • Not sure which hook size to use for your amigurumi project? Here are some tips and guidance for choosing the right hook size for your project, depending on the yarn you use! Make sure you're no longer crocheting loose stitches, which leads to gaps in-between your stitches with stuffing visible to the eye. Your hook size can be a quick fix to common problems like these.

Great! Thank you so much. I bought big twist yarn to make my 1st amigurumi bear with 6mm hook! Awesome!

Thank you so much for this video! I was so confused why yarns recommended such big size crochet hooks. This video was really helpful!

Just what i needed! I am using a super bulky yarn for the very first time. Super excited. I had a 6.5 mm hook but the recommendation on the yarn was 9 mm. I realised i need to use a smaller hook than recommended. Your video made it all clear. I will use the smaller hook. I am just glad i am across your video. Thank you so much!! ❤️

So helpful because I use both big twist and Caron of those yarns using a dang 4mm and wondered why my patterns were bigger and stuffing showing.

Glad it's helpful! I definitely need to use hooks that are a lot smaller (than what's called for on the labels) to make sure the stuffing doesn't show!

This is exactly what I’ve been looking for - thank you so much! Could you do a crochet hook brand recommendation video? I’m thinking about getting a set of Clover Amour, but I’m interested in your thoughts on the best brand(s).
