I have a q1 and my phone is a Galaxy s7. I haven't had any dropped connections and the performance is pretty good. Not so fussed about the cover art, it's a minor thing. I'm so impressed by the app, it adds an extra level of comfort and usability to the player so great job shanling. One issue I found is that if I use the hardware buttons on the phone to change volume, the volume level on the q1 instantly jumps to the max level. It happened twice and was very unpleasant; I've set a max volume level on the q1 now to prevent my ears being blown out.
Thanks for the feedback. Mine has dropped out twice but re connects fast so not a big deal plus it is a very early version of the software. That is really bad that it goes to max volume and I will report that to them.
This is very handy. I keep the M0 in my pocket mostly so the app makes it easy to switch albums without removing it while I'm driving. Also easier for my old eyes to see especially in bright sunlight. I wish it was a bit more polished but I appreciate all the work it took to get it this far. Thanks Shanling. I love your products!
Hi! Please somebody help me. I have problems with lockscreenimage on shanling Q1. I read the manual . Lock screen If enabled, user needs to unlock device every time screen is turned on. To add additional lock screen images: • Create “lockscreenimage” folder in root folder of Micro SD card. • Copy in up to 5 images. • All images must be PNG or JPG, resolution exactly 360 x 400, under 1MB I tried but nothing happened, if i enable lockscreen, i see just the OE picture. Might help them :) Also fiio launched a new shanling q1 competitor called the fiio M3 pro (my sources say it will cost $79) you can read ebook in it and record audio. Also maybe you should try to review a btr5 :) maybe ask fiio uk for a review piece they might help you out. And stay safe as usual 😄
If i wanted to read ebooks or use a calculator or look at pictures I'd use my phone! I don't understand what the m3 pro extras are about. Stick to making good audio players with useful extras.
I have read up on the M3 Pro and it looks really nice for the price but no BT at all is a big no compared to the Shanling Q1. I could have shown a installation process but it would have made the video too long and anyone who knows Android knows how to install a APK and I explained how to update the M0. There is no Fiio UK but there are three official distributors of them in the UK. Stay safe as well.
Hey, if you ever get any bluetooth dongle from fiio like the btr5. Could you please test it with usb c mode with the likes of fiio m5 through usb c audio out to the btr5, which can be used as a usb dac to the M5. I really am thinking of getting a M5 and create a mini stack. 😅
Hello, I'm currently using the M0 with the firmware updated to V3.5 and my device is xiaomi mia1 with android 9. When I try to use the synclink, the app can't read the songs inside the playlist on my M0. For example, I have 5 playlists on my M0, the app can show that I have 5 playlists. But if I open the playlists, it displays either nothing or bunch of null. But, the app can read the songs, artist, and albums. Do you have any idea why?

Hi , in my Q1 when I try to change volume through phone, it increases the volume in the player to maximum. Did you face such kind of issue?
I did not face that issue at all. The volume steps on my phone are as they should be. Seems to be a glitch with the Q1 so far.

Only audio can be streamed to it from your phone.

No idea why and it sounds like it is a bug or it needs fixing.

Just remote control of the M0 and other Shanling players. It was a highly requested addition.
Such a shame the android side can't download cover art, even if it's from the internet.
I have not tried the newer app they recommend but I hope they do add the cover art.
