Tyrone Dasher Let’s start with the latter: doing 30 pull-ups. When in a real life situation will you need to do 30 of them? 1 is enough to save you while hanging off a cliff, but 30? No. Now, benching 305: 1) a heavy object fell on you (piano, log) 2) you play contact sports (it’s in every player’s workout) 3) shoveling snow 4) punching 5) pushing a supermarket cart with a broken wheel 6) pushing a car 7) opening a jammed door or anything jammed 8) any physical confrontation due to the sheer weight difference 9) moving furniture 10) epic pec dances! (Joke) (Now I’ll digress to prevent a potential strawman: OHP, squats, and deadlifts certainly have more “real-world” applications, but it’s not doing 30 of them, it’s doing 1RM. And the point he was making is that ~30RMs > 1RM for the real-world, with the exercise being irrelevant. And he’s wrong. He’s an actor.)
I know a lot of people dog the show but look at this guy go . How many actors show this kind of commitment .
