I am from Guatemala city in central america and the Tisas PX9 is a huge boom over here very affordable and reliable. Well made robust and high quality materials. Thanks for the video super informative. Kind regards. PS almost 6k rounds thru my PX9 have used 115 124 and 147grains, FMJ or JHP no issues at all!
The Philippines National Police replaced their glock 17 sidearms with this PX 9, it came with three 18 rounders magazines. The stamp on it is the PNP seal which is native warrior shield that was used against the Spanish for 400 years. Excellent presentation,.
This was in my recommended feed. I bought one six months ago. From what I’ve found, it’s sold two ways. One is with 2 15 round steel mags with no markings on the mags and a front night sight. These are typically the ones with The Philippines military logo. The other way (like mine) is with 3 mec-gar branded p226 18 round mags and standard black sights with the rear being adjustable. All the versions come with thr three back straps The mecgar 20 round Italian mags work and drop free. The sig branded USA made 20rd mags work, but do not drop free. All of them lock back after last round. Some people’s grip will “disengage” the slide lock. I installed XS DXT2 big dot sights for a S&W M&P full size. I also stippled the back strap and the “snake skin” inserts on the grip panel. The sights and stippling add 120% to this gun. I’ve got high end guns and this is one of my favorite. I wish I’d have bought two. The trigger is better than any stock glock or SA or M&P. It’s not aftermarket trigger but after 1200 rounds, it’s like butter. 200% recommend.
I picked up one about a week ago. I took it to the range yesterday and put about 200 rounds through it, and it had no malfunctions. The only thing I would say is a few times it did not lock the slide back on the last round, other times it did. But other than that, I LOVE IT!! It shot great, felt good in my hand, very accurate and for the price, it's phenomenal. FYI, changing out the backstrap was kind of a pain, it takes a little more effort than I expected. Not quick and easy like the M&Ps, lol.
what bullet brand do you used? Thinking buying a used one for 200 dollars. It comes with two 15 round mag and was curious if the gun is a good and fun investment.
You gained a new subscriber to your channel today. As someone who knows little about firearms, it took me months of research to finally decide on which firearm to buy. After watching this un boxing and review, I was sold on the Zingana PX 9 and ended up purchasing it. Now I'm just waiting for it to be delivered. So thanks for the review.
I have this pistol (px-9 zigana) and I love it. I have a few other pistols(Sigs & glocks) but this is my favorite. The grip is so comfortable it’s unreal and it shoots very accurate. Although my 2 clips holds 18 rounds
Hello, thank you for your kind words, I was watching while at my lunch break and saw that very familiar crest on your gun and I was right it’s the Philippine National Police, 2016 when I left the PNP to migrate here in US, they were replacing old berettas and some 1911’s with Glocks and IMIs, last two weeks ago I was showing my new Taurus G3 to a former PNP student he told me that new Taurus and Tisas handguns are being issued to them, the PNP is in the process of modernization/upgrading that being said, I guess what you got there Sir is an overrun from the 6,353 units of Tisas they purchased last year (source: The Philippine Daily Inquirer - PNP shows off P3B upgrade: Galils, Bell choppers, trucks). Keep safe always.
I just got one exactly like that with the Filipino national police crest on the left side and on the front near the dust cover on the slide it's engraved PNP PROPERTY. Mine came with front and rear night sights and to 15-round magazines just like yours. I just ordered three Metgar 18 rounders for it. I'm super impressed with this pistol I didn't really think I would be but it's become one of my favorites. Starting to lose count on how many Turkish Firearms I've purchased. The Turks really got this thing down pat.
Thank you for making this video this was very informative, your style of review is very easy to watch and I like how you took your time and actually gave good info on it as most people dont go past what you can already find out in a sales listing product description.
Glad it was helpful! I know people spend their hard earned money on these guns, and want to know about them. I spend my money on them too. I try to give a realistic review with as much information as possible.

Ylthe current ones I have to exclude a xD9 And they don't fit. So if you find one could you spread the knowledge . Thanks for your time. Stay safe I will keep watching Ken in OKC
I don't have a lot of experience with pistols, but I understand that there are different schools of thought regarding the safety. Some think that a safety like this one is not the best, because one might forget to flip it off in a high-stress emergency situation. For inexperienced or infrequent shooters, however, I personally feel that this type of "manual" safety is a better choice. It would seem to be more safe than a gun that can discharge anytime that someone picks it up and puts their finger on the trigger.
I'm about to buy this gun so thank you for the great review. It's good to know all the additional info on the magazines and ect. Been wanting a good sidearm for kit and am now satisfied. Thanks bro!!! Trigger on!!
great review. I just purchased 1 Saturday. its not a bad pistol. feels good in hand.. it jammed on me a few times on the 1st couple rounds but after about 60 it was fine
(No election comments for the moment) As I mentioned to you in an email, I picked up a Sarsilmaz SAR 9 a couple weeks ago. I did look at the PX-9, and I thought I was going to buy it, until I held the SAR 9 one more time. Unfortunately I didn’t think to look at the PX-9 magazine to check for a dimple (damn it!), as I had seen this video a while back when u released it and forgot. And I SWEAR that the sights were plastic, which was a factor in my decision, BUT, I forgot to bring a magnet with me to test it. Maybe the one that you received were prepared for the Philipino police but the one I saw was for civilians. Who knows. Good to see a trigger without a trigger blade safety to irritate the trigger finger. That’s one of the few downers on the G2C, but I still love it. Thanks for another great video!
I read your email. It sounds like a nice pistol. I have another SKU of the PX-9 that came with the non-dimpled mags. I will do a video on it soon. The trigger is nice without the blade!
Got my PX9 a couple months ago....been practicing drawing and such...AMMO FINALLY ARRIVES MONDAY APRIL 12TH. STARTED IN HOUSTON-FT. WORTH-SALT LAKE CITY-TACOMA-CHEHALIS....Now its sitting in the next town over. Im sure it will move here on saturday, sit all day sunday and arrive around 5:3-isk on Monday
@@geminiclouda.d755 The PX 9 takes Sig P226 mags. I do not know of anyone selling the ones which come with it, but those are the size of an 18 rd but have dimples to restrict to 15. So I wouldn't want any more of those mags TBH.
Looks like you have a great new weapon. I’m like you, it’s hard to believe you picked up a package like that for $270. That holster is something else, it’s what I call tactical. Night sights, no less steel night sights. A decent carrying case and two magazines. Just on your unboxing, I want to purchase one right now. I can’t wait to hear about how it does on the range. Be safe!
A little off subject.... Just got an email from Taurus. New G3c is in production and being shipped now. Might have to give it a try. MSRP is around $305. Will go nice with my G2c, G3 and TX-22. Stay safe out there Brother.
Man I want the Taurus TH9c really bad. Wish I could find one of these hammer fired compacts. If the G3c starts showing up I may have to give in to that one.
I'm debating between the Zigana PX9, Arex Delta, and Taurus G3C. I think all three are good choices, however in one review if the PX9 I saw where it needed some break-in to feed correctly, which could take around 100 rounds. Under normal circumstances I'd like that as an excuse to shoot more, but right now 9mm is hard to find and I don't want to shoot up most of what I have to get it running. In your experience with the PX9 did your particular pistol need to break in to run smoothly? They're now offering a new version of the PX9 with tritium front AND rear sights as well as all the other accessories. Thanks for the review, I honestly didn't get to watch everything but skipped to the shooting impressions, I was short on time when I watched.
I have the ZIGANA PX-9, but my mags don't have the indent/divot that restricts me to 15 rounds.I can load 18 rounds in my mags. I also don't have the Philippines police logo on mine. FYI.
Mine is in the mail. Thanks for the video. Now I'm excited. I ordered mine from Classic firearms as well along with a Century Arms Ak47 with 100 round drum.😁
Great video. I also ordered my zigana px9 from classic but I just ordered it so I haven't received it yet. Good to know about the mags and that the sig 226 mags will fit. It does seem to be a great value with all you get. Looking forward to shooting it. Thanks!
i bought one last month from our local north east ohio outfitter stores for 179.99. haven't shot it yet, waiting for the weather to warm up to shoot from my range.
I'm not in the US. But my zigana px-9 shipped with 18 round mags , and they even have the mecgar made in italy branding stamped just like the one you showed , However my version doesn't come with night sights instead comes with a non adjustable 3 dot sight . So I think there's two variants. For different markets
I like mine too, and my 2 Tisas 1911's. I will be posting a video of a slightly different (newer version of the Px-9) soon. Yes their website does now say Cerekoted. A year ago, it didnt say what finish it was. Thank you!
Mine came with 2 15rd mags but I found 4 18rd mags at a gun show for 20 a piece and they fit flush like the 15 rd ones only difference I can see is there is no dimples in the 18rd ones
From the net: A domestic firearms manufacturing company based in Turkey’s Black Sea province of Trabzon signed an agreement Tuesday with a Malaysian company to jointly produce weapons for Malaysian security forces. Trabzon Gun Industry Co. (TISAŞ) signed the agreement at Langkawi International Maritime and Aerospace Exhibition (LIMA 2019) in Malaysia, the most prominent exhibition of its kind in the Asia-Pacific region. The agreement includes the joint production of Zigana PX-9 type guns together with IDC Technologies Sdn Bhd. TISAŞ Vice Chairman Abdullah Erdem said that the Zigana PX-9 is a leading model among arms exports from Turkey, adding that they continue producing that model for the use of the Philippines police force.
its amazing how fast the price can jump up. im looking at the px9 from classicfirearms, and its listed at 329.99 before any shipping or taxes lol. Still a damn good price for what it is
this is the pistol my son bought for me. however, the mags i received have no crimping. it loads 18 rounds, which is cool. no symbols tho. i've had the gun since December of 2020. i'd like to see more vids on it. thanks. ;)
That's cool. It is a nice pistol. Yes there are 2 different packages this gun is sold in. I recently picked up the same one you did as well. With the 18 round mags and no insignia. I do plan to do more video on this pistol soon.
Yeah good luck finding a G3c. Or what I've been hunting for...the Taurus TH9c. Also want but to be found the Taurus TH9 full size. Just got screwed by Palmetto State. Said in stock, charged my card for the TH9. A week later when I emailed(they wont answer the phone, cant even leave a message or call back number) they said "sorry this item is out of stock" and offered to put me in line when they became available and hold my money. WTH? Opened a case with my Navy Credit Union to get the money back. What has happened to that company?
@@2aEdu Thats true.. But it already has holes in it in other places, so what's a couple more. Also, the divots themselves look just as unsightly as a hole--- Just file them off and you get your 18 round mag back. lol.. Its a piece of cake.
This has so many features. I'm opposed to the Turkish and Philippine government, but this is tempting. Not going to happen as buying this has more oppressive connotations as purchasing from the company that shall not be named, but a tempting product none the less.
I picked up one of these PX9's also, shoots a little high, but I will adjust the rear sight. No problems at all, about 200 rounds now. I heard on another sight that the slide is tenifer coated. Do you know if this is true? I also got two Mec Gar magazines for a Sig 226 and they work well. Have also heard this fits perfectly in a molded holster for Springfield XD M 4.5" barrel. Have one on order.
Thanks because of your videos I'm getting one today for $350. Just don't know when I'll get a chance to go to target practice because it's difficult in these days.
Great video, I really appreciate you taking the time to talk about all the possibilities of different mags. That being said, I wonder if the Canik TP series with 18rd. Mags would also work?? Just curious
I had purchased one last week, before I saw your video. Good information, instruction, and since my wife and I will both be finally getting our LTC together on range, it will be good to have a dependable 9mm. Question, though, about additional mags, which is better and more consistent feed, the mag 662 or TP9?
We love it... my sister bought 1 about 3 weeks ago... we took it to the range... shoots and aims real good... only thing is it jammed about 2 times... we shot 9mm luger Winchester full metal jacket.. the gun range worker said it was because the way my sister was holding the gun... the gun is brand new, anyone knows why? This gun is rated 5 stars
@Matthew Caughey thanks for replying, .. I want to say it may be the way she was holding the gun , we shot luger Winchester 115 grain.. we just bought scorpio 124 grain the ejection port would catch the ejected round jamming it... maybe 2 or 3 times... it didnt jam back to back ..soon to be the 2nd time shooting it..
I've been getting some things together for a comparison video of the G3 and Masada but I may end up doing a review of the Masada first, though I'm hoping to see you get one in your hands for review. It was your review of the stoeger that made me put it on my list to get and now I'm thinking about having to add this one too. Looks like a good deal so far but I'll be looking forward to your follow-up for sure.
Hey I got my gun today and it comes with 3 18 round mags Not 15 Plus everything that you showed in your video. Cool gun, why did Mine come with 18 rounds?
Yours is a slightly different version. I also bought one after this video like yours. Yours does not have the police insignia on it. It was a different contract of the same pistol. The one in this video was from Classic, and the 2nd one I bought from AIM.
@@roadstomadness2335 Of course. Unless the Police insignia is important to you....Yours is way better because of the mags. The gun itself is the same. I like mine. I plan to do more videos on these.

@2aEdu : Hi .I purchased a Mec Gar 18 rd Sig p226 yesterday and my PX9 would not accept it . Side by side , they look the same except for a small difference at the base of the magazine . I want to go to the shop and exchange it for a mag that will work but would like to know what other mags might work with my PX9 besides that particular mag. any thoughts on this ? Any help is appreciated , thanks
Interestingly enough the CZ is the same overall pattern. But It will not lock in because the mag catch notch isn't in the right place, and the baseplate wont line up to the frame.
Idgaf what Turkey's political situation is . They make insanely affordable high quality guns between this , the Canik series and their Browning Hi Power clones
Could be break-in, or maybe not quite enough power. I will test this one with Wolf and see what it does. My STR-9 ran great on Wolf but would not cycle properly on Federal 115 gr brass. But ran great on NATO 124gr as well.

Man I want the Taurus TH9c really bad. Wish I could find one of these hammer fired compacts. If the G3c starts showing up I may have to give in to that one.
Just ordered one. I’m really looking forward to it. Great review!
Cool. Thank you. 👍
Thanks for the review, I honestly didn't get to watch everything but skipped to the shooting impressions, I was short on time when I watched.
excellent video and great info on the mags
Thanks 👍
This is the only gun that seems affordable right now in the Pandemic. Its $299. Im considering getting it. I need a good cap. 9mm.
Taurus g3 it's an amazing option but you do get a bunch of extras with this one
I have the ZIGANA PX-9, but my mags don't have the indent/divot that restricts me to 15 rounds.I can load 18 rounds in my mags. I also don't have the Philippines police logo on mine. FYI.
I did a video on the version you have as well. These have been imported in a couple slightly dif configurations.
Your reviews are awesome. Keep it up!!!
Thank you!
I own this gun and never knew it takes Sig P226 magazines! Thanks for the info.
No prob 👍
Very similar packaging to the Canik line of pistols.
I like that gun. A LOT.
Me too. Now back in stock at Classic.
Mine is in the mail. Thanks for the video. Now I'm excited. I ordered mine from Classic firearms as well along with a Century Arms Ak47 with 100 round drum.😁
Awesome. I will post my followup on the Px soon. You might already know this, but I am a huge AK guy. I have some videos on those too.
I like the pistol
I just purchased this as my first gun. I plan on getting my conceal carry permit and carry it. Looks like a good pistol especially for the price.
kind of a cool looking pistol with lots of extras and very sweet price point.
I agree! I can't wait to get it.
Tisas (Zigana) is Perfect..(Zigana is the name of a mountain in Turkey.)
Great video. I also ordered my zigana px9 from classic but I just ordered it so I haven't received it yet. Good to know about the mags and that the sig 226 mags will fit. It does seem to be a great value with all you get. Looking forward to shooting it.
Thanks!
Thank you. I am really liking it. You are welcome. 👍
My wife is Filipina. She thanks you for your comments :)
Awesome 👍
Very good review and reviewer. Subscribed.
Thank you 👍
i bought one last month from our local north east ohio outfitter stores for 179.99. haven't shot it yet, waiting for the weather to warm up to shoot from my range.
Good video, after your video of g2c i went and bought one and i love it
Thank you. That is cool. 👍
I'm not in the US. But my zigana px-9 shipped with 18 round mags , and they even have the mecgar made in italy branding stamped just like the one you showed ,
However my version doesn't come with night sights instead comes with a non adjustable 3 dot sight
. So I think there's two variants. For different markets
Speaking of 15 round mags, the 17 round Stoeger STR-9F magazines are only marked with 15 rounds, but the extended base adds the two extra rounds!
The SDS website says the gun is cerakoted. I have the Tisa 1911 & it (so far) has been a great firearm.
That logo is called kalasag by Phillipine National Police thats there trade marked if you see that logo it means goverment property of the Phillipines
Thanks for the info. 👍
Thank you also for bloogging G3 taurus you are one of the reason so know i got my G3 9×19
From the net:
A domestic firearms manufacturing company based in Turkey’s Black Sea province of Trabzon signed an agreement Tuesday with a Malaysian company to jointly produce weapons for Malaysian security forces.
Interesting. thank you!
Great video very informative letting me know what 20 and 18 round mags actually fit was very helpful thanks
Glad it helped 👍
Mine also had the Philliphine police marking
Wow sold out already 😎
I bought 2 of these on the First! I paid $249.99 a piece! Some of these PX 9's come with 18 round magazines.
Where did you buy these?
@@stanleylzz8705 Classic Firearms, about 6 months ago.
@@joeltowle2737 thanks alot
its amazing how fast the price can jump up. im looking at the px9 from classicfirearms, and its listed at 329.99 before any shipping or taxes lol. Still a damn good price for what it is
Yea I just paid $420 in shop purchase im ok with the mark up especially beings it's hard to find any thing in today's climate.
329 is rhe msrp. That’s what I paid for mine 6 months ago and after 1200 rounds, I’d buy another if I could find one
Keep watching Classic, they have had these on sale 3 times now for $299.00. My buddy just bought one the last time they were on sale.
this is the pistol my son bought for me. however, the mags i received have no crimping. it loads 18 rounds, which is cool. no symbols tho. i've had the gun since December of 2020. i'd like to see more vids on it. thanks. ;)
That's cool. It is a nice pistol. Yes there are 2 different packages this gun is sold in. I recently picked up the same one you did as well. With the 18 round mags and no insignia. I do plan to do more video on this pistol soon.
@@2aEdu , fantastic! i want to learn more about this gun. looking forward to your future video. ;)
Looks real good
I like it so far. 👍
I bought this 2 months ago In Pa.
$369 at a gun store. Came with 3 18 round clips. It had no insignia.
Yeah, there are two versions/packages. I also bought the sku you have after this one.
Good review and video! I was out shooting my G2C yesterday! I love my G2C but I hope to get the G3C if its priced right!
Thank you. I will be doing a G3C review very soon.
You can take a file to those divots in the mag and just file them flat on the inside and no more 15 round mag problem.
True, but it will have 2 holes if you file the divots off. They would still make good range mags though.
I have met many very nice Filipino people on here though.
@@2aEdu No doubt the people are great.
Nice looking piece, brotha!!
Thank you 👍
I picked up one of these PX9's also, shoots a little high, but I will adjust the rear sight.
I have this pistol as well, but mag came in an 18rd format
Thanks because of your videos I'm getting one today for $350. Just don't know when I'll get a chance to go to target practice because it's difficult in these days.
Great video, I really appreciate you taking the time to talk about all the possibilities of different mags. That being said, I wonder if the Canik TP series with 18rd. Mags would also work?? Just curious
Thank you. I will try that, in a future video.
So did the canik 55 tp9 mags fit?
I thought it's more like a Glock 19 then the gun you compared it to ...I picked it up new on sale for 249.00 St. Paddy's Day 🍀... I love it ❤️
very good video, a question with the zigana can I shoot ammunition + P? I appreciate your answer. Cheers
Thank you. yes you can shoot +p and NATO 9mm.
Ordered from Classic the gen 2 with front and rear metal sights.
Cool. Do you like it?
Great job 👍
Thank you!
I like it so much i just purchased one
Nice! I like mine. 👍
File the dimple out if you want the extra capacity.
Metal sights, nite sights, reasonable price. This is gonna cut into Glock profit.
Thank you it worked
Good to hear
I ordered a sig 226 32 round mag for mine for $23 and works great
What website?
Werr was the sute?
Site
@@2aEdu ok cool is the one I have still a good gun?
@@roadstomadness2335 Of course. Unless the Police insignia is important to you....Yours is way better because of the mags. The gun itself is the same. I like mine. I plan to do more videos on these.
@@2aEdu Thanks my friend I'm watching More of your videos. I've subscribed and I do like this gun the police insignia doesn't matter to me. I actually was impressed it was 18 rounds.
@@roadstomadness2335 Cool. You have a nice package with this pistol. I love the holster too. Thank you.
Mine has the Crest with a barcode etched in over it I have the tritium night sights version.
HS 2000/SPRINGFIELD XDM series.
I bought mine a week ago and the insignia is no longer on there. There is a QR code that when you scan it, it brings up tisas pistols in google
Interesting 🤔..possible only first gen has the insignia
I want a px9 fr I like decent budget striker fired polymer guns I want all of them g3,Creed,tp9,2.0 ,str9,apx,mc1,masada,delta all these guns will make you think Why do we over pay for Glocks
Great video can't wait to shoot mine and see your next video on this gun side note what red dots fit on this gun
Thank you. 👍 It doesn't have a cut for an optic.
Been looking for a muzzle break comp you have any ideas think it would be a good look on this one
Great video!! I purchased a light for my px9.are there any after market products to customize it.i like it just want to add my touch.thanks for sharing video.
Thank you. I am not aware of any specific upgrades. These are still pretty new to the USA.
Where did you find your light and does it fit?
@@coachlaz3369 i have one also, did we find a light that will fit?
I'm sitting here getting anxious waiting for the pistol I ordered to show up. It's a Tristar P120 it's a Turkish CZ SP01 clone. Scored it for $440 after tax and shipping!
Cool. Those are nice pistols 👍
@@2aEdu I've already got new grips and the spring kit from Cajun Gunworks and Galloway Precision...still have 2 weeks left to wait for the pistol 🤷♂️🤦♂️😂🤣
Most guns are hard to get right now. It sucks. Sounds like you will have fun with it.
I have the t-120 and its probably my favorite pistol it has broken in really nice and is a dream to shoot,,,
Holster works like the Canik Combat Executive holster. Probably same company makes them both .
Thanks for that info. i really like this holster design!
Do you know if they make one for my TP9SFX? And who I could get it from?
@2aEdu : Hi .I purchased a Mec Gar 18 rd Sig p226 yesterday and my PX9 would not accept it . Side by side , they look the same except for a small difference at the base of the magazine . I want to go to the shop and exchange it for a mag that will work but would like to know what other mags might work with my PX9 besides that particular mag. any thoughts on this ? Any help is appreciated , thanks
Turns out I misread the label , the mag I bought goes to a CZ 75B
Interestingly enough the CZ is the same overall pattern. But It will not lock in because the mag catch notch isn't in the right place, and the baseplate wont line up to the frame.
Idgaf what Turkey's political situation is . They make insanely affordable high quality guns between this , the Canik series and their Browning Hi Power clones
That is very true. 👍
I heard their hi-powers were kinda iffy but every orher gun seems great
I have ran 250 rounds of wolf 9mm 115 gr. A few times I had failure to lock open on last round. Do you think that is due to the 115 gr instead of 124?
Could be break-in, or maybe not quite enough power. I will test this one with Wolf and see what it does. My STR-9 ran great on Wolf but would not cycle properly on Federal 115 gr brass. But ran great on NATO 124gr as well.
I think the safety will loosen up after use.
Yeah. It has a little already. I haven't been able to shoot it much....ammo prices!!!
Many of them ship with Factory 18 round magazines
Bought one today
Nice looking budget gun, but is it reliable.
I don't know yet. But I will find out. 👍
Only thing holding me back is that Springfield look 👀 never really liked the design 🤷♂️but this looks very legit.
I hear you. It is an acquired look. Lol. Seems like a solid gun though. And pretty cheap. 👍
