I have the Zigana Px9 G2 and a Girsan MC9 the thing about Turkish made handguns is they need to be broken in with 124g ammo because they were manufactured in NATO facilities..I had stovepipes with both pistols using 115g then I switched to 124g fired 300 rds and hadn't had an issue since and now it runs both grains smoothly BTW love the 80's style intro very cool

I paid $219 ($30 rebate included) for the SAR 9 in December. That was without a doubt the best purchase I’ve ever made. Gun or not. I live in F’in NJ so even though it didn’t ship with the 2 included magazine, i was able to find 10 rounders for $30 each that came before the gun was cleared through my FFL. I got 2 of those and that was $66 all in with shipping. If someone told me that i can get a brand new, Turkish made 9mm pistol that went through hell for its consideration for the Turkish Army’s new sidearm with replaceable side/ back straps and the feel of a VP9/Glock 17 for $285 + $40 for the FFL = $325 i would have bought 100 of them. This deal went on for a month or so at PSA and my FFL immediately bought one when he saw the receipt upon delivery. I’d say for once that…..WINNER WINNER CHICKEN DINNER. Several of my friends in various states also bought it for the amazing price and quality and we all now use it for our Home Defense Gun. 6 out of the 7 replaced their Glocks including me. Go out and get this bad MF

Regardless of how most folks feel,
I like the Turkish guns... thus far Girsan is my fave company. The Regard is a bad ass machine for us Beretta fans that don't want to drop 1200 on a m9.
Canik comes in hella close 2nd.

Great video. Any thoughts on the Girsan MC21, Girsan Regard MC Gen4, and TISAS Zig 14?
I read an article where it mentioned that Canik makes up 75% of the Turkish handgun exports to the US. So that means SAR, TISAS and Girsan are 25% combined. The Sar-9 series is up there with the Canik TP9 series, I'm surprised they don't have a bigger marketshare.
I think Canik does well marketing wise, they have special editions like the Salient Arms collab (TP9 EC) including the "Battlefield Trophy" colorway, and the TP9 SFX 'Signature Series' including the "Whiteout" (AKA "Storm Trooper") colorway and a yet to be released Black-with-Red-accents colorway. Meanwhile, TISAS doesn't update their YT channel, and Girsan doesn't even have one. If SAR does special editions they could carve out a nice collectors market too. You've got one of the best Sarsilmaz collections BTW.
Canik has a SFX Rival handgun coming out, it's Grey-with-Gold-accents, a collab with CERAKOTE Coating. They've also made their own red dot accessory called MECANIK.

@@Slavinatorski I have a px9. I stippled the grip where the “snake” inserts are, as well as the back strap and front strap. I installed XS DXT2 big dot sights for a full size smith and Wesson. Mec-gar makes a 20 round Italian p226 mag that fits and functions like the 18 round that comes with it, with an added footplate. The sig branded 20 round USA mag functions but doesn’t drop free. 1200 rounds through mine. I love it better than some of my guns that cost twice as much. I bought it locally for 319.99. Been looking for another one to go full custom on. I want to mill the slide for an RMR/Holosun
The barrel is only 4”. Not 4.5”.
It’s sold three ways. First is 2-15 round unbranded mags, and a front night sight and a Philippines military crest logo. Then, like mine, 3 18 round Mec gar branded p226 magazines and no night front sight.
I’ve been seeing the last batches mixed with 2 15 or 2 18 round mags. A side note, you can grind the bumps out of the 15 round mags to turn them into 18 round mags. The dimples or bumps are put there on the 15 round versions to limit the capacity. All three versions come with the holster, speed loaded and three back straps
I had a sar bp when they first came out. Was a good gun for the price. Used cz75 mags.
