Stacks, have you ever worked with-- Indian Alum Tanned hide?? Awesome leather, if your into lacing your projects!! Has a yellow colored core, thatcis phenomenal looking for lacing.. the one i purchased was Burgundy.. have just recently found a light tan. Run around 5/6 oz. Sides.. just curious if youve used any. Trying to find or decide what to make with pieces of this leather.... cant use it on sheaths or holsters, etc.. think im gonna try a kool valet tray, with the flesh side up, use brass horse- shoe, screw , d-rings.. shoukd be different, anyway!! Lol. Thanks for your great humor and tips!! Wish you lived near, Bonham, Tejas!! Be kool to take some craft lessons and share idea's!! Thanks, Stacks!!
@jenkins1979 I'm not very familiar with it, so I had to look it up. And now I know why I'm not familiar with it - it appears its used to prepare the surface or leather for leather paint. I want to try leather painting some time, so I'm sure it will be part of my journey soon enough.
