Just watched your not so epic workshop...I love your videos.I have a leather workshop very much like yours except,I have a combo bench press, lat pull down and leg extension sitting in the middle and NO window in that part of basement .Thank you for the video.
Great ideas, appreciate the tour. I aspire to have a space similar someday. You should become a standup comedian, you have the best punchlines!! They left me in stiches! : )
I like your tip with the concrete forming tubes for leather storage. I've been storing my leather in the boxes it ships in but they're kinda crushable when you stack up a couple. I have an arbor press for riveting and I put a strong magnet on front to hold my rivet setter, it's harder to lose this way and speeds things up when I have a bunch of rivets to set. I cut a lot of straps and the best small space way I've found to do it is a plastic folding table. You can store the table when you're not using it and it doubles as something you can use at live events. I was using a 4' steel ruler to square the edges before using a strap cutter, but recently got an 8' cutting guide (can be taken apart to be a 4' cutting guide) at Home Depot, it was like $25 and came with two C clamps (which don't fit my table, but still nice).
Thank you! It's definitely not an overnight thing. But definitely don't need the fanciest tools to start out with :) or even to have a full time business with.
@@SpringbokCraftCo And I guess a bit of challenge task💪 I’m also have about 100 square feet workshop, and it’s always a challenge to find a space for new tool/shelf or anything else🤣
you are delightfully punny!! Can you do a video on how you are using your one ton arbor press? I recently added one to my leathercraft shop and would L❤VE to see how you two are using yours!!
I know tight space for leather workers my shop is 12 by 12 and no sewing machine. Skiving and sewing is by hand only now trying to safe for sonsew 797 by Tandy.. your shop looks well planned.
Just discovered your channel and I loved then tour. I'm in the process of growing my hobby (obsession) into a retirement income, and you gave me a lot of ideas on tools I'll want to invest in. Working out of a former guest bedroom about the same size as your space, I'd thought I'd have to find a bigger spot but I think I just need to become more efficient in layout. Thanks for some wonderful ideas. Also enjoyed the stand-up routine (don't forget to tip your waitstaff)
Such a great video!! It’s great to see another leathercraft company come from the exact same roots! Keep up the fantastic work!!! (Common Good Leathercraft)
Awesome. I'm newish to leather crafting (mostly make shoes) and my current work shop is my dining room table... No more dinner parties at our house! Ok, let's be real: we don't really throw dinner parties, but still...:) Anyway -- looking to DIY myself a work studio shed in the backyard. Thanks for the tour and tips. Your shop seems well 'furnaced'.... (that actually make me laugh out loud). Good luck with your shop!
I just subscribed. You are hilarious ! Your workshop is so organized and sweet! You made fabulous use for a small space. Thank you for sharing your knowledge. It is encouraging and appreciated ! Blessings
I notice you have both wooden based and acrylic based die cuts. Which one you think is more durable and perform better ? I'm thinking to make one but not sure which to choose as I never use before.
I feel like durability is not too different, but the acrylic is just so much better because you can see the leather you're punching. It's much easier to maximize space with the acrylic. And you can also much more easily position it around parts of the leather that's not usable.
Should I audition for SNL?
You are almost as funny as my wife... NOT... lol
Your humor is Arid extra dry. Like the anti-perspirant. But it was funny nevertheless.
Love all the dad-jokes ^_^
Audition yes, accept the job no.
The jokes made me subscribe… I love it. I’m making a shop for leather craft. It’s a small shop and I’m glad I took inspiration from this video
I stumbled here. Unexpected dad jokes. 😂 Sending Love from Idaho. ❤
Thanks for staying through the bad jokes!

Yes this is an epic workshop. I'm doing as I'm looking at that press, the dies, and that sewing machine. 🤤🤤🤤

great tips Ted. Might have to try that magnet tip. Thanks for watching!
Agreed! There were many great take-away's from the vid, but I will definitely also be incorporating the concrete tubes in my setup!
I hope you all find all the great success you so richly deserve. Love the jokes.
great use of space 😀 love seeing all the fancy expensive stuff added over the years as I only have some basic things just starting out
Thank you! It's definitely not an overnight thing. But definitely don't need the fanciest tools to start out with :) or even to have a full time business with.
It’s the mootel for me
Woah! That’s an amazing idea with a sliding board for clicker press. I need to make something similar in my workshop🤔
thanks so much! it's been a gamechanger

Same 2 juki and a skiving i too have but with extra clicker, we both have similar setup🙌
Love your Space, I am stealing the Concrete Form Idea, Thanks!

Awesome video, more awesome sense of humor 😂
I'm also a full-time leather worker here in the States, and my shop is 130sq ft. The struggle is real!
You'll have to let me know if you have any organization tips!
Love it🤣and your wacky humour.
This popped into my feed, and i figured I'd give it a shot. You had me at mootel. Subcribe clicked.😊

That was a great tour, thank you!
Thanks for watching Michelle!
Take a drink for every pun, you'll be happy.
Hi. Love the puns. What is the connection with springbok. ...SA perhaps? I'm an expat in Halifax just getting started in leatherworking.
Thank you! I'm not from South Africa, but I know it's near and dear to the people of SA. The name Springbok is actually an homage to my parents.
🤩🤩🤩
it looks cool. Greetings from Peru :)
awesome. thanks for watching Thiago!
do you do a little stand-up on the the side? :)
I'd probably get boo'd off the stage.
Bahah loved it! Such a punny video!! 👌🏼👌🏼 and informative!

Inspiring ❤️❤️
thank you!
Came for the tour. Stayed for the puns.
😂❤awesome
The puns are awful, but the tour was great. I just come across you guys and you've definitely earned a subscriber.
Thanks for the sub! and I apologize in advance for the low standards of humor you will now have to endure.
Hi. Why the name Springbok Craft Co?
pity Canadia hasn't discovered the metric system as yet!
I'm with you. Metric is so much better.

The jokes !!!! Haha
me having only table... sadge
Here for the puns. You are such a dad. 100sqft is under building permit size. This shop could be in your yard.
hahaha! and you are a craft mom! (that is what your wife called you)
Love the corny jokes!
10/10 jokes
thanks homie!!!
Lol mooootel
that was pun to watch...
So little real craftsmanship. All those presses, molds and sewing machines take away from the real craft. But, very cool shop anyway.
Don't quit your day job.
Looks like your shop has a very pungent smell of rich leathers…
I have less stuff in 600 sq/ft and it's still crowded. I suck at optimization.
600 sq. ft! that's awesome, so much potential
