I have one of your belts, and I absolutely love it. The only thing is that I've lost a considerable amount of weight since I've had it. I'm down to the tightest hole, and even that's fitting a little loose. I've been thinking about cutting the end and refinishing it with a burnishing tool, beeswax, and water. Am I about to ruin my belt?
Awesome, great vid and fantastic leather products! You're the guy who inspired me to start leather working and I love it! Love my OS wallets too... thanks Michael, I appreciate you!
Really enjoyed this and I am going to be lazy and start using the metal loops when I teach the belt making class @ Makers Mill. Neat looking finish. Cheers...Freddie
Hi There. Great. video. My first ever project which is to shorten my nice Ralph Lauren belt by a few inches (lost weight.... hope I can keep it off!) and I decided to do it from the buckle end rather than just punch extra holes.I was googling to find out how to thin (plane) the section that is folded around the buckle, having just noticed this feature on the original belt. Is there any guidance how to do it without your special tool that appeared for a couple of seconds? .... Thanks!
Love your content! Got a wallet for me and a bucket bag for my wife. Good Luck!
Awesome! Thank you!
great info for someone who is getting into the craft .
Glad you found it useful!

Love your work man! I ordered my first OSL wallet about 3 weeks ago, hasn’t arrived yet (I’m from Europe). I can’t wait to get it. Good luck!
Appreciate you!
I laughed at that second belt montage, it was almost Edgar Wright. =D
Glad you liked it!
Thanks for this video! I got some scraps from a friend so I figured I'd try making a belt to replace my dying belt.
Awesome

No I don’t think so but if you send it to us we’ll resize it for free. Congrats on the weight loss!

I would recommend a tool called an “easy skiver” and to watch some videos on how to use it.
Hi OS! What was the leather you used for these belts? Looks great, I’d love to get some. Thanks for posting these helpful vids!
Wickett and Craig harness! 9-10oz
I Want to make more belts. What would be the minimum and maximum weight and what part of the hide should I use to build them?
Definitely the bend and shoulder. Low end 8oz and high end 12oz
belt looks sick too lmao
Trump needs a bigger than 72 inch belt and he is tightening it a lot , that is very dangerous with dipats !
Wait wut?
