Love to see these guys going sideways but sometimes i cant understand judges decisions
they need to add something more as to make it the top drivers show there talent. Honestly once its the top 8 all runs seem the same would like to see them change the course up between rounds
should be points. like most smoke, best line, highest speed, etc.
TheLazy Lad that's how it was in the past and that's bad they're moving more towards style instead of speed which is how it should be
i cant understand the judges decisions either.....
smoke is not a scorable aspect and it should never be. it's a byproduct of drifting, not the purpose of it

M Deatherage because nobody sees FD getting any bigger, for more people to sponsor it or buy ad space from them they'd need to be a large following. FD still has a long way to go

The announcer said, "The VQ" regarding the 370z but isn't that car swapped with a VK56?
Are you talking about Fosberg's 370Z? If that's the case, back in '17 I think, Fosberg changed his 370Z to a twin turbo VQ setup from the VK56, and it went from making 800hp to like over 1000hp I believe.

@@TheOceanX Don't quote me on this, but I think I remember watching a video that said it's a VQ35 that's been modified and stroked out to 3.7 liters, which is ironically the same displacement as the VQ motor in a normal 370Z.
@@acey.4376 Yeah that's a pretty common stroke to change the 350 block to; I'm actually looking at taking a stage 3 HR to 3.7

Agreed and the same with Matt Vankirk too. Those guys deserve to be there, they've worked their way up to FD Pro competition unlike Faruk who looks like he needs to go back to Pro-am at best.

debeading a tire is supposed to be a zero? odi debeaded one but was still given a score....maybe i'm mistaken
Its only a zero if you can't do your second run. So if you Debead on your first run and still have your second run. Your pretty much out. Because you can't re-air tires between battles.
So with his tire debeading on the chase run and it not impeding the lead driver or having second run he still got a score. Especially since he finished the run where Field screwed up and completely stopped drifting.

No problem man. They changed that rule I think 2 years ago. Because drivers were debeating so much. So now its only if you debead before your second run pretty much that you can't continue.
Its better that way but lot of people don't know about the change surprisingly.
Mad Mike didn't run bead locks... they're illegal in FD. His rims were designed custom to look like they had them but they didn't. I think Mike Debeated in one round with his MX5.

Odi vs Matt, how i see, matt's fuckes up twice, the second time he fucks up by locking up and going to the other side but, back on it. Odi, well odi doesnt fuck up, it was the tire that un mounted, that's not drivers fault like it was with Matt, thats why I would say Odi won fair and square.

these 2 to 3 corner tracks are boring has hell. long drifts arnt really exciting. I love the more complex drift courses.

The other two judges messed up by giving odi the win. That was a straighten from Matt on his follow run and a db tire from odi on his follow run. 2 incompletes was suppose to go one more time. Those 2 judges messed up with that call big time

Aasbo is a great driver and all but i think the judges favor him wayy too much......every time he makes a mistake its never called out and i can remember more than a few events where he DEF SHOULD HAVE CAUGHT A LOSS......and somehow.....he wins.......SMH....GO JAMES DEANE!!! way better driver in my opinion

Does anyone else hate Aasbo's car? Nothing against him but I just don't get why it even exists. The modern Corolla has no place in drifiting. Dressing up a car that has nothing in common with the production vehicle and doesn't even look good going sidways cause its a in the shell of a blobby little economy car is really annoying.
I think they should only be able to run engines that the manufacturer makes for the cars. Like Nissans have to run Nissan motors ect...

What's the judge cam angles you are referring to?
Formula DRIFT the cameras we always see them put on the cars. don't the judges use those to help decide fault in runs or help score? i just always see those cameras on the cars and want to see those angles. been watching fd for a long time. went to sonoma and saw tarzan yamada in the viper. long time fan.

No, those cameras are not connected to the live stream. Those are for post production for the CBS TV show
