If you know the right emotion you can reach everyone's attention. It could be a sort of "manipulation" but I don't want to think about its worst use (unfortunately there are already those who do it...). It's so nice to see and learn from people who study and cares about the psychology of a font for better communication with other people, while the mass of the population demonstrates a total lack of empathy with people, animals and things all over the world. Thank you
@@sherpyaCascadia Code Semi-light Italic gives you the hand writing feel while still remaining monospaced!! It’s amazing. I set Notepad app to use it and I can never go back!
I really liked the content covered in this video, a very well paced presentation covering a lot of type-faces, moods and emotions. My only complaint is the vibrating pink lined background literally caused me a headache, which obviously spoiled my ability to relax and enjoy it, unless that was the purpose!?? Otherwise I would have happily watched it again.
A lot of those script fonts don't work very well. They look convoluted, and at first sight one finds oneself looking at them hard in order to figure out the word or name being displayed. Anytime you have an indecipherable font which you have to look and think hard to figure out, it's a fail.
1:57 use of serif ok Use serif and sans-serif font and try to find out which one feel more secure You use psychology here i.e You used serif and comic font here. Its clear that a person will choose left one only.
interesting, i would still go for Serif as she said, it’s make you feel like it’s old and trustworthy, San serif make you feel like it’s causal you know what i’m saying.
• Serif - Have little brackets on the ends (stability, tradition, intellect, formality)
• SLAB-serif - Chunky block serifs (enduring, strong, powerful)
• Sans-serif - Have no serifs (progressive, informal, friendly, neutral, open)
• Script - Broad category, lots of personality
Display fonts - Very broad

I've been using Comic Sans since about 1995 for coding. I like it due to its resemblance to hand writing and non uniformity.
you can't use a non monospaced font for coding
@@sherpyayou can. Just not conventional or effective, although comic sans can be good for dyslexic people
Everyone makes fun of Comic Sans but when you only have a very limited opinion, Comic Sans are sometimes the only choice
