Got the Atomic case when it released, had some of the same gripes with it that you mentioned in your review (give on the sides, camera recession being a bit shallow) but overall I've liked it. Saw the announcement of the S22U getting an original Grip wasn't sure if it was worth making the switch. This review convinced me to pull the trigger, got a Grip with the black carbon skin on order.
I loved this case but had to switch back to my uag monarch kevlar. The Grip case just didn't have enough side protection for the curved screen. I chipped my whitestone dome twice with this case whereas with the monarch ive never had that issue

The atomic edition started to bend a bit at the bottom, I think this won't. I ordered it with the Zack's teardown ultramatte skin, those are my favorites. I would appreciate if you order one case with one skin, they would install the skin. They are robots as they always say, a clean install would be nothing stressful for them. By the way, every other manufacturer should shame themselves. This is how they should have made the cutouts.

I've had it for about 7 months and it's loosened up a lot. Just picking up my phone, I end up pulling the case away from the phone on the sides. Can anyone comment on the quality of this case after at least 6 months of use?

I love the grip cases. Had one on my s20 ultra before I upgraded to the s22. The dbrand grip case just feels great in the hand and makes me want to use the s22 ultra more than in other cases.
Tbh I love watching your videos about cases despite having only an iPhone. I have one for my iPhone 13 mini and it’s probably one of the best cases out there. I kinda wish that dbrand would release Grip Atomic for iPhone and other phones.
Yo Tee what about the ESR camera lens protectors? The 1st case doesn't really fit properly around the cameras with the ESR protector, so is this case the exact same fit?

@@BJPerryJr Same here. On my Atomic version, I modded it to make it fit perfectly. Tomorrow I'll be receiving the new case and hopefully it'll fit with the ESR lens protectors without a problem.
@@cyandjey7363 it works. After placing the phone inside the case, you'll notice in the two small lenses that their's a bulge and all you have to do is give it a press and it'll snap in place.

I had literally postponed using my s22U coz all other cases were not looking good to me, the note 10+ worked for me pretty good, 2 years counting. Finally, let get this money.
@@conner4145 Got in the grip case today and while it will fit with the ESR camera protectors it is extremely tight snapping it around the protectors. Sounded like glass breaking snapping in around the camera protectors.
Just got the grip case for my ultra, haven't used a case on my ultra for 4 moths dropped it a dozen times or so and very first drop in the grip case cracked the screen. Very unimpressed.

I actually have the atomic case they have for this phone and I love it! It has a smaller form factor, but you can't apply a skin to it though.
Yeah it’s a solid case if you want to keep it minimal nothing beats the OG Grip for me.

You’ll be fine with the Spigen screen protector. That’s what I run on my iPhone and haven’t seen one case that interferes with it.

I've found that the come off pretty clean and you don't have to worry about it messing up.

DBrand Grip cases are well made but they feel terrible in the hand - its just TOO grippy - like holding sandpaper.
