The problem is…smartphones are at their peak.
But not the pricing
We've been saying that for years, I think 2 more generations left then they gonna be at their peak
8 Gen 2 changed alot
@YazouruAiM What are some good phones to get that are better then my galaxy a32 5g. Here's a few I had in mind. For Apple:iphone 11,iphone se3,iphone 12,iphone 12 mini. For Android: Pixel 6a,Pixel 7,S21,S22,Motorola G Power 5G.
@@preston8872iPhone 12 I feel like it would suite you best
I’ve had my gold 14 Pro since December and while I haven’t had the major bugs some have experienced I still have minor little annoyances that I have seldom experienced on iPhones before. The 3X zoom camera is nice but other phone manufacturers are offering much more. No split screen and other software limitations are also annoying
One of the main factors in my opinion is that smart phones have reached their peak while manufacturers are running out of ideas, while at the same time prices keep increasing, which does not longer reflect what you are getting for what you are paying
Hello. Can you please tell me where to find that wallpaper? Thanks for the video.
I haven’t experienced that many bugs except that few days with the weather widget. I haven’t had the black screen in RUclips, or calls dropping etc. it’s been smooth for me thus far. I upgraded from an 11 Pro and I also have a 13 mini for work which I love as well.
That’s really fortunate! What was your issue with the weather widget?
I’ve had the black screen on RUclips most times I’ve used it. I also have my personal line as an eSIM and my work line as a SIM card and the physical SIM card drops the signal constantly when both lines are running.
I’ve had the 14 PM since launch day, and the only bugs I’ve had are the black screen from RUclips vids, and that stocks widget not showing line graphs. However, my iPhone 8 also had the exact same issues. Apart from these issues, my experience on the 14PM has been flawless. Also, I noticed my battery health is at 98% right now, but I haven’t noticed actual decline of the battery. If anything, I feel that my battery life has improved. I have noticed I’ve had 1 hour more screen time than average, it’s a bit weird, but not complaining. Other than that, flawless experience.
I like that wallpaper where did you get it from?
Where did u get the wallpaper from?
Something to note about battery health degradation and the best method to keeping a higher % for longer.
At the same wattage, 15W for example, plugging in directly will be more efficient and treat your battery kinder than Magsafe. Since due to the inefficiencies of wireless charging extra unnecessary heat will be generated, effectively using the iPhone's chassis as a heatsink, raising the temp of the battery and increasing degradation.
Had my iP13 Pro since launch charging via cable from a 5W plug overnight and topping up with an 18W every couple of weeks when needed. Still at 100% health
In terms of bugs I'd say there's more in iOS 16 than in previous years for sure, hoping that these will be prioritised and ironed out by 17
Looking to upgrade my 8 PLus to 14 Pro! Hope its a good decision!
I love my 14 Pro. It is my first Pro though. My only complaint is it’s slightly heavy for its size.
Those premium materials definitely weigh a bit. I’ve been a Pro iPhone owner for the last 3 years, and I’m always surprised how light the regular iPhones feel
I have a 13 mini which I actually traded from a 13 pro max lol and I couldn't be happier, Ive missed the 5S and you don't realize how much you miss one handed use when you don't have it!
How you are using RUclips 😅n dynamic island. Please share how we can do
3:30 the 14 Pro is already heavy as it is. It's even heavier than the 6.7" iPhone 14 Plus. Making it thicker while also filling that space with more battery will lead to an even heavier device. Also, the camera bump is necessary due to physics.
Hey can y review the soundpeats capsule 3 pro hs , its a budget anc earbud I’ve seen all the reviews but i wanna see one from a credible source
Got mine Back in February I love it the only issue I had was charging for some reason it wouldn’t charge with the wall charger I had to wirelessly charge it but the last couple updates fixed it idk if that has something to do with it but it has no problems now the camera is fantastic especially pro res video the battery is also fantastic
Very good to know, Barnaby Jones.
Wallpaper link please?
I don’t use the default stack view I use the list view from my notifications, but I have had blank notifications
I have the iPhone 13 standard version 128gb. Only complaint I have is how fast my batter has degraded in the short 4-5months I have had it. I don’t know how it’s capacity went down so fast because I do have an iPad and a MacBook Pro I use.
Thats weird because i have the same model for 7 months and my battery is still at 100% battery health
Coming from my iPhone 7 (on ios 14) obviously I noticed a lot of differences and I love my new phone, but the software bugs are just too many, at least 2 apps crash daily, it’s a mess
hows the batter life?
i am not a gamer.
i use youtube,whatsapp,insta,fb,gmail,teams,outlook..
and camera occassionally..
would u recommend 14 pro 256 .
or should I opt 14 pro max?
I have an iPhone 14 Pro and it’s not damaged, I clean my phone at least 1 day every week or two and it looks decent after cleaning it. I love the dynamic island, hopefully there will be more apps that will work with the new iPhone 15 line up. The design is pretty much the same as the iPhone 12 and I am hearing about this year being Apple’s redesign year so I’m looking forward to seeing how the iPhone 15 lineup turns out in a few months. I’m surprisingly not having any problems with my iPhone 14 Pro. My phone is 97% battery health.
Bought my iPhone 14 Pro back in Dec 2023. Battery health still at 100%. Using apple 20w charger at home and Qi wireless charger phone holder whenever i’m driving.
I keep my phone in good ventilation and ambient temp while charging. My wireless charger phone holder is in front of my ac vent.
So far I’m happy with 14 Pro overall after 4 reliable years with XS. 14 Pro excels the basics that makes a smartphone a great one from performance, display, camera and speakers. Battery life could be better but coming from XS is a massive upgrade.
My only slight complain would the fact that 14 Pro is pretty heavy and dense for what it is.
no you not imagining glitches, most annoying thing is at the gym with apple watch and iphone close to each other airpods connected to watch reset and connect to iphone, i had experienced 6 resets during 45 minute workout recently, and most important glitch is battery life on my 2 iphones drastically got reduced during 1 month period, and 1 of them lost face id function ( face id will be available after cool down error) just about 2 days ago, from thin air.... now question is should i replace those batteries or get another devices... smells like apple trying get some sells to me
Is it just me but every bug you’ve said about, my iPhone 12 has been doing that a lot on RUclips on the weather app and just goes unresponsive randomly and the list goes on… also since having my iPhone 12 the speakers have got quieter and quieter I have to be on loud speaker to hear anyone on a phone call. after 2 years and 8 months my battery live is on 79% my old iPhone XR had 98% after 3 years i believe it’s all apple and software updates but I’m getting the iPhone 14 pro next week so hopefully it’ll serve me better.
Boi I got mine brand new in January I ordered it in November last year and got it this year but my camera came messed up I don’t have .5
I don’t know if it’s a bug but my 14 PM sometimes gets really hot
I’m at 97% after 6 months but I feel like that 3% dropped in the last 2 months. So idk how to feel about that.
In case you didn’t know, wireless charging degrades your phone battery just as much as wired fast charging. Magsafe is just a gimmick, the magnets are present just so that the the coils are perfectly aligned because if they are not it affects the charging speed, creates more heat and in general degrades the battery even more.
95% battery health is completely fine. 80% after two years is what Apple says is normal decrease. And charging your phone with wireless chargers is the worst varian of charging.
80% after 2 years? Damn 😳 and I didn’t know wireless charging was the worst. I’ve seen people say it was the best..! Man I need to do more research
@@TechDailywireless charging is inefficient and produces more heat compared to wired charging. Heat is the main enemy of a battery. More heat means faster battery degradation.
@@TechDaily 95% after a few months is _NOT_ ok. I have a nearly 3 year old iPhone 12 at 90%
Apple is purposely making the newer batteries degrade faster so that people upgrade sooner.
Hey! Really great review but my biggest concern is battery life and im also wondering about the difference between the wifi and cellular usage. If people could state their opinions and also mention their phone usage habits that would be really great. Im aiming to get like 6 hours of usage on cellular and i would be fine.
If you want to make your battery life last longer dont charge your phone over 80%, turn of the optimized battery charging, dont use low power mode and dont use wireless charging I have a 14 pro and after 6 months my battery health is still at 100%
Generally, WiFi is better for battery life. Being on cellular for me drains the battery faster, and if you’re traveling & roaming (I’m currently traveling in Australia) the phone barely lasts a day.
@@TechDaily Approximately what would be your screen on time on a full cellular day?
@@furkanerol2086 I use my phone more than most people, and usually I will get a good 8-10 hours out of a full charge, depending on what your doing of course
I’ve had my iPhone 13 Pro around 2 months after it’s launch and my battery health is at 91% still and I also haven’t had really any bugs on IOS 16
7:56 i know it’s the default so i assume that’s why you’re reviewing it but you can change it.. you know that,, surely
I’ve got an iPhone 14 pro I’ve had it since October it’s been great but I wish I got the bigger iPhone 14 pro max instead for the bigger 6.7 inch screen and better battery life so this year when the iPhone 15 pro max comes out I’m going to get it
I have my 14pro and watch s8 for almost 2 months. Also running iOS 17 beta & watchOS beta 10. Coming from a 12&13 mini, ihave no complaints. Everything running smooth. Battery has been improving as the betas go. And for me my phone JUST works. I won’t be getting the 15. I’ll be staying with this setup for the next two years. 😊😎
iPhone 13 Pro Max user (typically a max user) my major issue is the atmosphere… the connection between my iPhone and my iPad is terrible. When I try to switch between devices with FT it works sometimes, it fails others, and sometimes it half works and hangs up… I’ve had my 13 Pro Max for over a year and I’m at 94% battery health. I only charge my phone every other day. I actually use my iPad at my desk for calls (even meetings) and texts. 😅 I want a folding phone but I’m so used to 2 days of battery usage it’s hard to switch. The 15 isn’t looking strong for me with this mute button business… love your vids!
weather app widged does not work and notification sucks
I have not experienced any issues. By way, I got mine on release day, my battery health is still 100% & you're welcome to check this.
I still have the issue where the the camera vibrates violently when you open Snapchat
Only issue I've had with my iPhone 14 Pro is just the weather widget that has "no data", but that can be fixed by just opening it and closing it back. It's just that. Other than that, it might just be people in the betas or whatever.
Same
I have experienced so many bugs with my iPhone, 14 pro with iOS 16. It’s been not smooth sailing it’s been okay. I’m hoping iOS 17 will fix iOS 16’s problems
You Hit the nail on the head with all these bugs. I prefer it to be boring than unstable
When i use instagram the videos dont play sound. I get thats its on silent but its kinda aggy. Why silent my apps? I use the silent button to silent calls
I think it's IG fault.
@@reziee5897 interesting 🤔
@@reziee5897 not on my s23 ultra tho maybe u right
@FloridaManScents well S23 series are now optimized in social media apps, but sometimes third-party apps camera are not doing well, so it's their fault, not the iOS or Android. (maybe)
Theirs a real problem with the scrolling it stutters almost like it stops scrolling for a split second and is very noticeable once you see it
I am not having any issue that you mentioned in this video mine is working perfectly fine
Listen when a new phone comes into the market dont buy it immediatly wait for 2 to 3 months so that first batch of the phone gets sold and then buy the phone when 2nd batch comes beacause if the newly released phone has some problem apple will have already released updates and you can instantly update your phone which you cant do when you purchase phone on the first day of its release
I’ve had my iPhone 14 pro since October last year and the battery health store 100%, but the battery drains very quickly if I’m using the phone
My battery drain fast had it 6 weeks
We gotta appreciate the honesty though. Not alot of reviewers would do this.
I’m just here to be honest 😅 it’s of no benefit to me to “talk up” the iPhone or put out positive reviews on stuff when it isn’t my experience
Most reviewers get incentives from Apple - usually a free phone - so they better not say anything negative. 😂
Please do Samsung A14 5g review 🙏
Haven’t most of these bugs been addressed?
iPhone 13 Pro - Never had a issue at all, other than RUclips bugs and my device heating up quickly under 5G Auto. It’s been working fine otherwise. I’m guessing I’m one of the lucky iOS 16 users. 😅
I’m using an iPhone 14 Pro and I’ve had basically no issues with iOS 16 either.
Only issue I ever had was my screenshot not showing the preview once.
I’ve had my iPhone 13pro max since launch and my battery maximum capacity is at 98% and I used it every day
Probably going to wait for the 15!
Im not going to talk about video that for me iphone 14pro is indeed the best, but if you pick a Google pixel 7pro and took a photo with it you´ll never want to take it on iphone again, same way with no tricks, just point and shoot... That phone cameras and auto edition are massive
I am also planning to buy an iPhone 14 pro..or should I need to wait for 15 pro
Just wait for the 15
Is it glitchy in a way that ruins the experience of the phone?
Not necessarily, it’s just not something iPhones users have encountered so consistently before now
One issue I’m experiencing is that when I put my phone in my pocket my flashlight keep activating but on previous iOS it wasn’t happening
Same
Casekoo purple on purple deep or light case blending so well I need it🤯🤩❤
I'm planning on picking the 14 Pro up coming from a Samsung Galaxy A21s, do you think it's worth buying right now or should I wait for the iPhone 15 Pro??
either way ur gonna get a great deal but if you can wait ur gonna get extra features like better camera battery display perhaps better battery life too and smaller bezels and not to mention you might get an extra year of iOS update support, but 14 pro is great too! so it depends on you if you want to wait or not.
tbh if you would ask me I would wait an extra 4 months to get the 15 Pro
@@_._._.o._._._ At this point I would probably do the same. I do really love the 14 Pro that I picked up though, but I got it much closer to release.
Could also be worth waiting just for USB-C depending on how you use your phone too.
@@cadenchurchill4296 and the rumoured titanium frame seems interesting to me as well
Don’t listen to people telling you to wait a few months. Waiting a few months means you’re going to be spending more money on the phone because it JUST released. If you wait, you’ll definitely find better deals on the 14 pro once the 15 release, but apple stops producing older pro iPhones shortly before a new release. So you’ll find a better deal on a 14 pro, but you MIGHT be stuck with a storage capacity or color you don’t care for. As mentioned, if you wait for the 15, you’re going to be spending more money on it. Even if you’re taking advantage of an upgrade deal from your provider.
Buy 14 pro max for discounted price or wait for 15 ultra / 15 pro max? 🤔
iPhone 11 user here and I can’t find a reason to upgrade. It is still the SAME. 😢
iPhone X, Xs, 11, 12, 13, 14 still the same looks and feel.
10:41 You can get Google's magic eraser by installing Google Photos on your iPhone.
Fantastic review! Kudos for keeping it real.
Glad you enjoyed! Thanks for watching 👍
Couldnt agree more. Almost every Iphone-review are very bias. I have never owned an Iphone. Have a OnePlus Nord, and are in the market. I considered a 13 or a 14 pro, but now Im confused - again😅
iPhone 12 Pro Max user here - The only problem I have with iPhone is that they bring out like 6 new phones a year! So I’ve been with Apple for over 8 years now. I started with the 6s in Jan 2015 and it lasted me until May 2020 which is good going. I went from the 6s to the 11 pro and I loved it! But coming from the 11 pro (which only lasted a year!!!!!) to this 12 pro max was pointless. They’re the same phone in my opinion! I’ve had it 2 years now and it’s on its way out (88% battery cap, Overheating, Freezing, Cutting off, Temp warnings, Slower to run etc) and I’m honestly contemplating going to Samsung now. I’m just so used to iPhone 😫🙈 But I can’t justify spending so much (I don’t do contract, I buy outright on PAYG which is why I use my phones until they cut out completely) when even the 15 series will be exactly the same as everything back to the 11! My friend has the 14 pro which I’ve used and there’s simply no difference to what I have now or even what I had (in terms of the 11 pro). I’d much rather Apple took a good 3 or so years between each release to really make a difference between each phone 😢
I have been a samsung user for most of my life and I feel the same way about them.
All their phones have same UI and same design (almost) every year, after a while it feels boring.
The only solution is to hop between samsung and apple every 2-3 years, to feel that we have bought something new. 😊
I never encountered any iOS glitches…mine is 14 pro 512gb purple…case is spigen rugged armor…
I have 14 PM since release and I have to say that notifications are the most annoying think I ever seen. Before 14PM I had android devices and ofc its not same system but some basic features works much better like (these notifications) and I can not agree that apps on iOS works better tbh. There are much more android users then iOS and I see developers also see it thats why we have more bugs on iOS. For example discord on android wokrs perfecly fine but on iOS has a lot of bugs and the biggest one is that notification issue.
I’ve had the Face ID animation freeze for me multiple times ,glitchy keyboard , terrible battery life and weather widget, not working, whether not showing correct temperature, overheating when I’m playing music I don’t get a notification for now playing at work goes all weird on iPhone 14 pro with iOS 16 I’m hoping iOS 17. Will fix all the bugs and make iOS stable again because iOS 16 has been terrible since the beginning.
The 14 pro max was my first IPhone I’ve been on Samsung since forever. I love the ecosystem and there have been more issues than I expected and I’m really disappointed with the photo quality. And apple seems to not even care they haven’t added any updates to the camera since it came out. The video quality is still a stand out for sure I just wish they would match that up to photo quality. It feels as if they never really optimised the algorithms for the new sensor. So for my first IPhone I’m happy but not blown away and will be giving the 15 a chance and hopefully that one meets all expectations
buying iphones every year isn't worth it. There will only be minor upgrades and you really won't notice a difference. If you want a usb-c cause you transfer large files regularly then the 15 will provide that, but if you don't then it'll actually be worse as lightning will charge phone faster than usb-c
Bro the video on my S21 in low light IS TERRIBLE!!!
Tried to get a vid of my cat playing with her toy and she became a gray smudge moving around being followed by a little yello pixel!!
Im livid my thousand dollar phone struggles so with video!
All i know for sure is my nxt one wont be a Samsung...
Wallpaper??
Second that
Had a 14 pro now for only 6 months and it’s disappointing, overheating and battery is already going out, total waste of my money now since I’m going to get another phone (non Apple)
I used to love iPhone but Apple has gotten extremely lazy ever since the iPhone X and lacked innovation while going up on prices. In 2023 I feel like it isn't enough to "just work" especially when you pay $1000 for a phone. There are much cheaper options that offer you way more innovation and value for your money. In some ways it's still a reliable OS but it's a very limiting and boring experience. So much so I'm more of an android guy now. Which is a shame since I was an Apple guy from 2016 until last year. But now it's getting more difficult to forgive Apple being lazy and relying on their reputation as a cash grab. When you factor in the performance and iOS being glitchy kinda going backwards it's getting harder to justify the high prices of iPhones.
I regret upgrading to iOS 16 in general. I should’ve stayed on iOS 15.6 .1 it was much more stable than iOS 16 in my opinion
Biggest issue, too expensive, and then there inflation and weak currency to prop up the price even further
Yeah, I’ve noticed a lot of people saying the same thing both in the US & abroad. I think Apple actually overestimated how popular a device like the XR ended up being, and how long people keep phones now…so they’re back to pushing $900+ devices as the norm
@@TechDaily At some point people would have a hard time affording phones, there should be a limit how expensive a phone should be, i heard rumors that 15 is going to be more expensive than 14
Had my iohone 14 pro since release and still have 100 percent capacity i never lwt my phone battwry gwt down to zero i alwaus charhe it again at 50 percent to 100
My phone is always at 10% or less lmao
iOS have had a lot of issues since iOS 16 come out
You've obviously never tried pixel phone. They're miles ahead In computational photography for everyday point an shoot photos
How are you losing so much battery health? I am using 20watts wall charger overnight.. and still have 100% for 3 months.
(Great username - I have an AMG GTS myself 😅) and I literally have no idea. I use an older iPad charger to “fast charge” and that might be the issue. Every night my phone is charging on a MagSafe charger and is “optimized charging” but I’m still draining battery health horribly
@@TechDaily That is the problem, compared to mine anyway. I have 100% after 6 months, release day.
I use the wireless all the time, no problems.
But I don't do it over night. When I wake I put it on, or when I return after a night shift why having breakfast. Then I remove it. Possibly easier to do this on night shift as I don't wake & need to go straight out.
14 pro heavy bro I wish the sides weren’t titanium
No video I’ve seen has said this but for gaming at crucial moments when that annoying ass 10-20% battery usually pops up Instead it just tell me through the pill 💊
I donno 7:47 for me iOS hasn’t had that many issues…
Couldn’t agree more. It seems apple has lost its luster 😢
This is the premium Apple experience.
I hate it.
Battery life already sucks
It won’t take pictures when I want it to.
It deletes pictures I’ve taken.
Drops calls ALL THE TIME.
keyboard randomly glitches out and won’t work.
Literally it’s being buggy right now as I type this.
And I don’t receive a lot of calls and then people think I’m ignoring them.
Apple keeps getting worse.
, a lot of people had a bad battery on iPhone 14 Pro,,,,,,,,,,,,, I have mine for 11 month I use it every day for now I still have 100% of battery 😊
Good phone, Material is good but no real features by itself and people still buy it🙄.
When you think about Nothing Phone 1 or AI features from Google or OneUi, you can spend less for a good phone
So are you going to try Android? 😉
it won't solve the problems he lists lol
Your reviews for iphone 14 pro has been more of a crticism. It's been 6 months of my iPhone 14 pro and the battery has held up really well full 100%. It's an amazing phone. People compare it with s23 ultra but that phone has been released after 6 months of this phone. Iphone 15 shall eat up samsung as whole.
I mean “harsh criticism” was literally in the title 😅 I actually don’t think the iPhone 15 will be comparable to the Ultra. We won’t see any higher resolution display on the iPhone, likely no “super zoom,” it won’t have any bigger of a battery, obviously no stylus support, and it may even have that bs USB C Apple MFI-certified stipulation for charging 🙃
Then s24 ultra will gobble up apple like it's nothing
@@TechDaily You're right it won't. The PWM won't hurt people's eyes & give migraines, as the 14 I'd already 3 times higher than the Samsung. You understand PWM?
@@swagger6166 Why, will it have new screen tech & not the three year old one like S23 Ultra?
By the way, will it also lose £500 in 2 months like the S23 Ultra has done?
I expect value of iPhone better after 2 years than Samsung after 2 months. 😂
It’s a great phone but the battery performance/health is mediocre. I’m a power user and the battery health is down to 98% in just 3 months. And while watching your video I just noticed that there are scratches/scuffs on the lightning port area which did not happen to my previous iPhones. I’ve got the space black max variant.
Yeah, the scratches are sort of hidden until you really wipe it down. I was surprised to see just how many marks and spots were on my phone to be honest.
With the battery health, I’ve been unlucky enough to hemorrhage %% with everyone iPhone I’ve had. By the end of year 1, I’m always less than 95 and usually around 90. I don’t know how to combat that besides just using the phone less..?
@@TechDaily I’m actually quite disappointed with the scratches as I’m using my phone with a case. And yeah, I think that would be the only way to preserve the battery health by using the phone less. It’s just disappointing because my usage is somehow consistent since my previous iPhones. My iPhone Xs Max had a 91% battery health after 2 years of usage. And 12 Pro Max had 85% battery health after 2 years.
How's mine still at 100% battery life? My daily driver, I use to work, holidays, go out, at home.
Still at 100%.
I don't know about you, but my iPhone 12 Pro battery percentage dropped a lot. So from watching RUclips videos & advice, the only thing I changed is not charging over night.
Is that the reason, I don't know. All I do know, if I remain at 100% before iPhone 15 release, it will certainly be getting pictures taken of it for eBay.
Being true to the fact is hard. Many iPhone fanboy will surely bash you. But I appreciate You👍🏻
I’m harsh because I genuinely want the iPhone to be better 🙏
Battery sucks on 14 pro.
I’ll stick with my 13 pro I’m waiting for the iPhone 15 pro then I will upgrade
Yeah, Samsung is way better nowadays compared to the bugs and restrictions and cost iPhone comes with !
Going to have to call out BS on the regular pro being top heavy. The weight is evenly distributed along the entire phone. That’s a measurable fact.
Also, the MagSafe charger is not intended to prolong the battery’s life. It actively generates more heat. 😑
I might have to trash the MagSafe charger then. I’ve heard that slower wireless charging is supposed to be better, but now I’m being told it’s the exact opposite
dude straight into the comercial ... no thanks
