    In Korea, there are restrictions such as noise intensity and time that architects must abide by when building in the city center. It is one of them.

    You are right. That device was set up by the construction company there (the board is written 'we are doing the best to keep noise and dust low'.
    I don't know this is mandatory or voluntarily. But we can see that here and there.

    I am Korean.
    In the comments, there are people who don't know anything but say what comes to mind without knowing the facts. I understand why foreigners have an image of Korea that Koreans do not understand.
    If you look next to it, there is a construction site. Korea has strict building laws (the Noise and Vibration Control Law), so constructor must not cause any damage to the surroundings during construction. Normally, during demolition and construction, dust and noise can cause damage to the surroundings. To prevent this, the constructor is obliged to constantly measure and announce the level of noise and dust at the construction site and not exceed the maximum noise and dust stipulated by law. If this is violated, the contractor will not be granted a building permit prior to construction and will be held civil or criminally liable during construction.
    According to the duty, there is an electric signboard that measures and announces the level of noise and dust at every construction site.
    For reference, the phrase at the top of the display board is "We will do our best to reduce noise and dust."(소음 미세먼지 저감을 위해 최선의 노력을 다하겠습니다.) This is a phrase that the builder asks for understanding from the people around the construction site.

    People around the construction site are inevitably sensitive to the noise and dust. So it seems that the construction company installed it to show that they are working hard to prevent noise and dust.

    Glad you guys are still going at it. Word of advice that I assume you already know. As a lebanese man living in the U.S, I was attracted to the channel from the Lebanon trip you guys did. Mainly, I was happy because it brought back good memories, and it also gave me some sort of pride to see an American enjoying Lebanon.
    Lebanon is a good example of countries for you guys to visit and make vlogs on, since there are more Lebanese people living outside of Lebanon.
    I think you guys should do this again with a different country where most/many of its population lives elsewhere (Expats). For example, you can do Turkey, since many Turks live elsewhere... Although that's not the best example since they mostly move to Germany, so they probably visit a lot (since it's close) and don't miss it much.
    I imagine running a travel vlog youtube channel is difficult, but I appreciate your work. Hope you guys keep on it.

    • @20CamelsEmily
      @20CamelsEmily  Год назад +1

      Yes, indeed. I think that is definitely one of the ingredients of the “secret sauce” of the success my channel enjoyed in Lebanon.
      One of the interesting things I’ve noticed is that some series do better on different social media platforms.
      For example, my Bolivia series got 100x more views on Facebook than it ever got on RUclips. I’m still learning a lot about this process, but I’m sure I’ll figure it all out over time.
      I appreciate that you still follow and support even though I’m no longer posting about lebanon, and that you want me to succeed! Thank you Sami 🙏🏼

    • @20CamelsEmily
      @20CamelsEmily  Год назад +1

      I think I’ll go back to Tunisia later on this year (where I gained a huge following on instagram and TikTok, but I never filmed RUclips content there). They have that huge expat element that you’re talking about. Should yield better results 🤞🏼 I’m getting a bit tired of no one seeing the videos I create here on RUclips 🙃

      @@20CamelsEmily I'm glad you're keeping the moral high!
      Also, I believe some countries use more of certain social media platforms than others. Like Lebanon for example, we like short vids because we have really bad internet, so shorts fit the bill. Not the same for exapts though.

    공사장에 먼지로인해 주변 상가들이 피해를 입어 민원을 통해 공사가 중지되는경우도 생깁니다. 건설에는 많은 돈이 들어가니 중지되면 손해가 큽니다. 저렇게 데이터를 모으지 않으면 법정에서 큰손해를 볼수도있어요.

    I can comment on the pollution measures. Koreans have apps on their smartphones that tell them the level of air pollution because it is very common for Korea to be blanketed with massive clouds of air pollution from China. Koreans have been wearing N95 masks even before they became a thing due to Covid.
