I cannot believe an original Monte Carlo SS is being kept, only to be ripped apart, over a Buick GN. This is probably the last time any of us will see a GN under 50k in this condition with a clean title.
I have owned 4 turbo Regals and never had major problems aside from your brake light problem which means the power master brake bowl is probably going. That was my 1st, luckily there was a GM service bulletin which Dennis Kirban was nice enough to put in his monthly newsletter saving me about $550 in 1990. The white Turbo T with blackout package I still own is running fine, just reach out to the Buick community for a good mechanic in your area and don't put knock off second rate parts on it.
Congratulations on the new grand baby Randy! Isn’t it something how u can be having a terrible day and lil bit comes over and says paw paw what u doin and ur terrible day just turned into such a wonderful day! Love my 5 grand babies so much.
You probably knocked loose some corrosion in the mass flow sensor at the connector. That will happen sometimes. Too bad you couldn't keep the Grand National. Probably the best car in your fleet as far as value is concerned.
Congratulations Randy on become a Grandfather for the 3rd time. Being a Grandfather myself there is nothing more satisfying than holding them in your arms as they look up at you and smile. Great work on the channel. Always look forward to the new content you post. I really enjoyed the tribute to the cars of the 80’s and 90’s. Sorry you are moving on from this era but I hope you would consider doing a mix of various years in future videos. All the best.
Normally when it's a backfire issue it will be the spark plugs injectors or the wires but anyways congratulations and I'm really proud of how far you came you're a really great guy and I can't wait to see what cars you bring on a channel I'm always watching your channel so I'll stay tuned for sure
Congrats on the GN. Hope she got a great new home. Could we see some day a 77 to 90 Caprice Classic, there many fans of that gen car, especially the 2 door versions.
Hey Randy. I'm sorry the grand national is going with everything else. She was a sweet ride. Have a blessed day and congratulations on your new addition! You really look younger each video, its hard to believe you're a granddad! ❤
in 1987 I bought my grand national, I was 24 years old and I just fell in love with it the first time I saw it, I bought it at Walton Buick in Medford mass. The sticker price was $18000 and it also had a $5000 mark up which was ridiculous, that's what the dealerships were doing, I ended up paying cash and got it for $18000, anyway I no longer have it but I wish I did, your bringing me back in time my friend when the world was a better place , also, I never lost a quarter mile race, corvettes, 5.7 irocs, mustangs, nobody could beat me, what a fantastic machine, thank you my friend
Great post. I had almost the same experience. 1994-95. With a good tune, the bad boys would pull on by anything with street tires. Adjust the waste gate, lock up that converter with a paper clip, see ya. Couldn’t believe it could ya, big v8? “Wanna Race?? Yawn…. V6 “ No side show BS. No drugs, Drinking, or fighting.. Just line up.. 12.92. Av gas:. Good fun!!
With your 73 mustang, I had a 73 pop up on my Facebook marketplace the other day in ROUGH shape. Looked like a rough garage/barn find. Floors were completely rusted out to the point you could Fred flinstone the thing, looked to barely run, was even the same body style, not the more desirable fastback, and they were asking 6 grand. So 13 for a well sorted, looks to be rust free example, isn’t out of the realm of expectations.
Randy, I don’t understand how the Firebird has not sold it’s so beautiful. I wish I could afford it people don’t appreciate the beauty of classics cars anymore
Congratulations on selling the Grand National Randy! It is a beautiful car. I'm sure the new owner will love it. Also, congratulations on the new Grandkid!
Man, if the car is sold and paid for I sure wouldn’t be driving it! Too many things could happen and none of them good! But, you did well so Congratulations!
Randy, don’t shy away from the 80s-90s era cars. Is what makes your channel unique, these cars we love and bring us back memories of a simpler time. Keep up the good work bud. 🫡
Congratulations Grandpa Randy. Just became one myself. At the end of the day its your time and your money and your views that make things go. Do what you want and dont worry about the haters. Im guessing you dont. See you very soon in the next one.
Coming from a father of 4, grandpa of 6, and great grandpa of 1, I say congrats on the new addition to the family!!! And congrats on the sale of the GN!
Put a set of Cragars on mine and they really looked good, but I still love mine with the original wheels! Had mine since Jan '88 and it still has powermaster brake system! Key is to keep clean brake fluid in the system(ie- flush system at least every 2nd year)! Also own a true '67 SS350 Camaro(49 yrs) and a true '68 Cougar 428 Cobra Jet w/ram air! Have original titles for Cougar and GN! Love the old G bodies!
Manhiem does not consider quarter panel damage or even replacement structure in order for them to mark it as structure it would have had to been inner quarter(innerwheelhouse) damage floor panel damage b pillar inner rocker something like that ...the quarter panel does not denote the vehicle as structural under manhiem guidelines. Also you should be able to purchase the CR on that vehicle if manhiem did the CR
I had a 86 Buick Le Sabre fwd with the 3.8 it had the same coil pack as the grand national it was bad making It back fire under pressure great video randy
Hey Randy, My name is Rod and I'm from Iowa. A buddy of mine says we look identical (not sure if thats a good thing or a bad thing..lol) But that being the case, I should be able to come on down and drive some of those 5.0 Fox Body beauties you have sitting there. I even promise not to drive near the stone chucker's house. What do you say????? I'll even bring the cold snacks for after the test drives!! LOL
Those grand nationals are special. Can’t believe how cheap that sold for. They are they are expensive when I’m looking for one. Mercedes are not my car. I don’t care anything about watching them.. those two mustangs are really nice. Congrats on being a grandfather again
Randy, I've got an idea for that Nissan BE-1. Here me out. Remember that Rainbow Wrap on that car that you loved??? Why not do the Rainbow Wrap on the Nissan?? You'll get tons of looks, and you might get great content. Do some things that you might consider risky, you could also paint it like the kids car, red with a yellow roof. Put a different look on the interior, maybe dress up the seats with color. I think you might get some great content out of it and then sell it like you always do. Make your money back on the content. What do you think??
Congratulations on the Grandson! (we are almost the same age, and I don't even have my firstborn yet hehe) Try sending the Nissan Be1 to CAAARS & BIDS! Might even get a Doug-review 😊
Congratulations on the new Grand Child! Glad you moved the GN and made a buck in the process. I agree with you 100% that the GN looks best just as GM designed it. I’m sorry to see the 80’s and 90’s fleet leave but understand that you need to keep making content. Hope the current fleet generated good RUclips revenues. If the deal does not go through on the van I’d be a buyer…I’m surprised about the Formula…I don’t think you will loose money on it. You should reach out to Alex from Legit Street cars re the Anniversary Trans AM
@autoauctionrebuilds Congrats on getting out of the GN without taking a loss. My first GN left me with $10k in credit card debt when I traded it for an Acura Integra in the late 90’s lol I’ve learned a lot since then. The breaking up sounds like it could be a bad coilpack or a bad ignition module (right under the coilpack). If it was a lean condition you’d have a lot of knock & you’d see how many degrees of timing it pulled.
Yeah it's expensive to upgrade. I sent my GN to Steve V out of Virginia and 20k later I have a 500hp 600tq grandnational. Everything has been touched from engine to rear. All new lines, TA headers, New AC components, vacuum booster replaced powermaster with kit from Kirbans. So much done. I kept getting a rolling cost every week it was getting scary
Love the channel Randy, but looking forward to some euro car switch up! Buy the S-class, you can always flog it to MWM…oh wait you’ve done that already 😉😉
Your issue is fuel pump signs hard to start, backfire, and seems like it's braking up like you say lol when you driving injections continue to get gas that's why it does it on startups and warming up
RANDY!! congrats on the sale of the GN! QUESTION: would you be interested in trading that stepside for a SWEET 1989 corvette convertible? black, with tan leather, WITH an optional hardtop? just curious...81,xxx miles. very nice ride. ALSO, congrats on the new grandbaby, we just welcomed our 4th
Randy, every time I see the front of the T/A I think it looks like it's had some work done on it, and there's a slight paint mismatch. Is it just my eyes ?
I love the 1991-1992 Firebird or is it a Trans Am. I used to own one that same . My daughter blew the motor in it . Or her boyfriend . Bought it for $1,200 sold it for $200.00 . I can't buy yours because I'm currently a resident at a nursing home
A steady guide to your list of cars/SUV available for sale soon by Randy...with Randy's curious touch of the fantastical, a final review of these granduer...😂🎉
I cannot believe an original Monte Carlo SS is being kept, only to be ripped apart, over a Buick GN. This is probably the last time any of us will see a GN under 50k in this condition with a clean title.
Yeah the GN is a POS. If I ever see one again it'll be too soon.
The GNs are terrible
Grand national a t type especially 85-87 are very temperamental cars you can hardly change anything without tuning it
I have owned 4 turbo Regals and never had major problems aside from your brake light problem which means the power master brake bowl is probably going.
Congratulations on becoming a grandfather for a third time!! And it’s awesome that you came out ahead on the Grand National.
I believe once the cracked exhaust manifold gets addressed the Grand National will be fine.
Agreed. There is/was so much half-assery done to/on this GN it isn't even funny.
The cracked header would have for sure helped with the o2 numbers.
Good morning Randy. Finally selling the 1987 Buick Grand National. Hopefully you made money by selling it and didn't lose any money.
Congratulations Randy on become a Grandfather for the 3rd time. Being a Grandfather myself there is nothing more satisfying than holding them in your arms as they look up at you and smile.

I don't have a channel but, I'm getting that prius for my oldest child. Of course, I'll be enjoying the mileage more than she will. Lol
Hey Randy. I'm sorry the grand national is going with everything else. She was a sweet ride. Have a blessed day and congratulations on your new addition! You really look younger each video, its hard to believe you're a granddad! ❤

Double congrats are in order here Randy , looking forward to seeing your next selection of awesome vehicles
With your 73 mustang, I had a 73 pop up on my Facebook marketplace the other day in ROUGH shape. Looked like a rough garage/barn find. Sell a Grand National, get a Grand Son. Congratulations. As a former Grand National owner, I think you made the right trade.
Congratulations on selling the Grand National Randy!
It is a beautiful car. I'm sure the new owner will love it.
Also, congratulations on the new Grandkid!
Its awesome how young you are for a grandad. The kids will have you around for ages!
Thank you as always Randy! Hope all is well.

Congratulations Grandpa Randy. Just became one myself. At the end of the day its your time and your money and your views that make things go. Do what you want and dont worry about the haters. Im guessing you dont. See you very soon in the next one.
Love the rumble sounds from both mustangs
Congratulations Randy 🎉 on your grandson!!!!!!!
I love the safari I feel like that’s a keeper with that low miles those can go for so long!
Coming from a father of 4, grandpa of 6, and great grandpa of 1, I say congrats on the new addition to the family!!! And congrats on the sale of the GN!

The foxbody 5.0 is my favorite car of all time. It is so hard to find one of those in the condition of the one you have. I would love to buy it.
The Z24 Cavalier is beautiful 😍
Manhiem does not consider quarter panel damage or even replacement structure in order for them to mark it as structure it would have had to been inner quarter(innerwheelhouse) damage floor panel damage b pillar inner rocker something like that ...the quarter panel does not denote the vehicle as structural under manhiem guidelines.
Also you should be able to purchase the CR on that vehicle if manhiem did the CR
Randy, the 25th anniversary should go for no less than $5000
Big old congratulations brother on the new grandson. What a smile ear to ear. You could see the pure joy on your face.
ill still rebuild the carbeurator for ya on the enginge coming out of that car.

Congrats Randy that’s great! Nothing like holding a new born baby!! Happy to hear you made a little profit. Was a little worried.
Congrats on the grand baby Randy and congrats on making a profit on the BGN.
Hey Randy, My name is Rod and I'm from Iowa. Congratulations on the new Grandson & Making some money on the Grand national can't wait to see what you buy next I'll be watching
I think your prices on all your vehicles are fair prices. Your cars would do well in California, price wise. Good luck.
Those grand nationals are special. Can’t believe how cheap that sold for. They are they are expensive when I’m looking for one. Mercedes are not my car. I don’t care anything about watching them.. those two mustangs are really nice. Congrats on being a grandfather again

Gonna miss that Grand National! You made a sweet profit on that one. Great job Randy.
Congrats on becoming a grandfather again Randy! Glad to hear it! Keep up your content man! Always look forward to a video after a long day! 😊
You barely broke even in the GN, but I'm so glad that it will go to a home will it will be appreciated
Sounds like a fuel delivery problem with the Buick either the filter or the pick up screen on the pump is collapsing
Congratulations on the new Grand Child! Glad you moved the GN and made a buck in the process. I agree with you 100% that the GN looks best just as GM designed it. Love the channel Randy, but looking forward to some euro car switch up! Buy the S-class, you can always flog it to MWM…oh wait you’ve done that already 😉😉
They perform better in cold weather. I live in the south and in the summer it runs like its suffocating. Alcohol injection helps in hot weather.
Randy actually made some $$$$$$$$$$$$
Congratulations on the grandbaby Randy!
Congratulations Randy & Family 🎈🎈🎈 Awesome Channel
Good ridence to GN life. You know what i,m talking about.
Boost leak. I backfires because it is lean. Is there a boost gauge? gotta track down the the issues one at a time.
Congratulations to you and your daughter Randy
Congratulations Randy
Hi Randy and one Grandpa to another Congratulations!Love your channel, i want that pickup! ❤
Those Copart fees are insane!
They fee the hell out of the seller and the buyer!
Greed !😂😂😂😂😂
Agree! I paid $2,600 for his Celica GT-S and it was $695 in fees. And Randy paid another $200!
The 73’ Mustang go for more if sent to Barrett Jackson.
Congratulations on your new grandson and the sale of the grand national 👏 🎉
Great video,deal and congratulations😀🎉
Your issue is fuel pump signs hard to start, backfire, and seems like it's braking up like you say lol when you driving injections continue to get gas that's why it does it on startups and warming up
Randy you have a nice car collection. People will stare. Dudes mind was probably blown somebody was driving a grand national in January😂
He's in BFE Oklahoma, I wouldn't expect to see a GN putting by either, lol. (Especially in January)
RANDY!! congrats on the sale of the GN!
Congrats randy! Sad to see that go, but oh well so goes life with the cars you’ve sold!
The Monte NEED the stock wheels WITH Raised White Letter tires.
Biggest I would to is MAYBE 17 - but it need white letter tires.
Randy, every time I see the front of the T/A I think it looks like it's had some work done on it,
and there's a slight paint mismatch.
