He is a really good actor, very willing to “go there” brave choices. I had not heard of him before this show, where has he been? Is he famous in Australia?
He is not only handsome but extremely talented. His acting is very smooth. Hope we see him acting more often. I can picture him in a comedy show like Monty Python 🤩
@@keremh. last I knew, he lives in New York. We don’t keep in close contact but we’re “friends” on Facebook (which I don’t use anymore). I can reach him if I want to.
Murray is so talented! He made me feel his character's frustration, anger and euphoria so many times during White Lotus. The entire cast of this show was brilliant.

He ended up being my favorite character on the show and when I saw what had happened to him I was an absolute mess😢😢 I hope they could find some kind of twist that it was a dream or something. I'm not sure if I can watch the show with out him in it. I just love him.
As a former hospitality worker.... I stand with Armond! Also, this man is handsome, kind, funny, and such a class act! I hope her gets so many more opportunities!
Funny that Jimmy's first instinct was to point out the flaws of the hotel employees and not the frustration and difficulties of their jobs. Armond's "crazed look" , "I'll never trust a hotel manager again".
exactly, the "if you've ever worked in hospitality, that's the kind of feeling you're familiar with." and he just quickly agreed and kept moving on. you can tell he doesn't actually know.
Without a doubt one of the best scenes ever to air on TV, I still laugh when I think about it. What happens after really shocked me but seemed fitting for the character and the show.
i didnt even know who murray bartlett was until seeing" the last of us episode 3" recently. talk about an oscar worthy performace ,he had me crying for hours after the show aired.
I'm a former hospitality worker, I know very well what Armond was feeling and I did exactly his expression trying to be hospitable with resentment inside...but I never went to the length as to make my guests's vacation ruined.
"...the chocolate bars, the honey...." I hope that prop guy, upon hearing they were going with CGI, pulled out the prop, in front of the whole cast and said "Fine!" and ate it.
You'd think jimmy would know armond isn't in season 2. He was talking about how he loved the poop scene and we all know what happened to armond 10 minutes after.
The best scene was his final dinner!! He sashayed through and gave an academy award winning finale for the guest! I stood up and applauded. Bravo Armond!👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Murray is great, not only in White Lotus, but in Looking. He was in the company of great actors like Russell Tovey and Jonathan Groff, and he managed to hold his own.
I would argue the *other* scene he was in was much more noteworthy. The look of horror and shock on everyone's face was priceless. Truly an amazing sight to see. Plus, damn! He looks great for his age.
As an Aussie, I can hear a slight American infection in Murray's accent in this interview. His Aussie accent is different in the show - a bit old-fashioned; the only thing I could fault him on! Both series were great.
He lives in Provincetown, Massachusetts so I'm not surprised. I believe his partner/husband is American too? I always found it into how some people begin to use accents when they are visiting or move to another place. Then others don't at all.
It’s interesting to see rich people talk about how they’re self-reflecting from the show. Like “oh wait you mean I shouldn’t talk to people like they’re below me?” I worked in the service industry for years and this show was a whole lot of “yuuuup” for me.

@@nicokl5593 Not really, no.
@nicokl5593 No; I had to look him up! Apparently he was in a few series here in Aus, but has been in the US for 20 years.
This man is disgustingly handsome. And his acting was definitely one of the high points of The White Lotus.
He is insanely beautiful, and is just a legend for his work on that show!!

The aussie accent always does it 😍

You need to watch Looking series
He was my favorite charge too followed by Jennifer Coolidge.
Watch Looking series and movie, Tales of the City and my favourite character of him next to Hotel Manager was in August...
They should have killed the rich bro dude.

"That's what you get from the series?"
He is "White Lotus"
Yeah he’s elitist as they get, the message about class probably went over his head
Armand was unhinged though lol he messed up and lied about it and exacted revenge when his mistake was pointed out
I loved him in LOOKING, it was such a great show, I wish they would do more seasons of that.
I absolutely agree with you. The LOOKING series is a great show and I loved it.
I don't. I think the show ended when it was supposed to, and the movie tied up all the loose ends.

He's a star. Brilliant in White Lotus. Great in Looking as well.
You can tell Jimmy grew up with money based on his responses about Armond’s character
Yes!!. He sounded just like the entitled privileged people in the show, the same people that the show was critiquing LOL
Yepp
Yeah, he always had that “tryna get touch with the middle class” vibe abt him
I get the vibe if he got the wrong room in a hotel he would be very similar to shane

He was one of my favorites in that show. Amazing performance!!
His character reminded me a lot of Basil Fawlty. I honestly wanted him to have his own spin-off show Murray was so good.
Omgg I thought I was the only one thinking that! He really did remind me of Basil
Same here!!
Show definitely got inspired by Fawlty Towers..
The "best seating ever" gave me Fawlty vibes with his manic grinning at the guests haha
ahh i just said that too !
Murray Bartlett was terrific in White Lotus. I look forward to seeing him in his next project.
he’s in Apply TV Physical series
i cannot believe he’s such a gentle sweet lovely man, i could have sworn he wasn’t acting in the White Lotus, he was that good.

It is so strange to see such a nice guy here. I'm so used to his character on The White Lotus.
