I just finished the first season and can’t help but think that Olivia is in love with Paula for these reasons. 1. The asmr scene. 2. Her response to Quinn saying they were doing lesbian stuff. 3. When she sees Paula with Kai she can’t help but watch like she was extremely heartbroken. 4. When her and Paula had the argument in the finale she goes to her mother to cry and looks genuinely sad. She didn’t seem like she was just using her friend for status. I think Olivia goes after every guy Paula is interested in because she is in love with her and either doesn’t truly know it yet or doesn’t know how to process her emotions. I could just biased or reading into it to much🤷♂️. Regardless, beyond incredible video👏. Your analyzation skill’s, knowledge l, and dedication are exceptional. You’ve definitely earned a follow and a future fan. Keep up the great work!
Kinda a little bit like Cassie on Euphoria, i got the same kind of vibe lol. The high scene of both when there arrives Tanya, looked like the scene on Euphoria of Rue and Jules on drugs. I love shows like this :) xd

Leaving another comment after watching the part about Belinda's character, GREAT analysis, and as a Black woman watching Belinda's story throughout the season, I thought a lot about the idea of white fragility making it challenging for Belinda to pointedly call out her experiences impacted by systematic racism (and classism). Also this idea of Black women always having to disproportionately shoulder the emotional/physical burdens of others - as Malcolm X said: "“The most disrespected person in America is the Black woman. The most unprotected person in America is the Black woman." At the scene where Rachel is venting to Belinda about her predicament, I agree that it was cathartic for her to get up and walk away...I also found myself wishing, as you pointed to, that Belinda and Rachel could somehow *switch lives*, so that Belinda would be the one to so easily access this class mobility through marriage, and then that got me thinking about the politics of desirability, what Western culture has deemed "beautiful" and who gets to fit that mold. And great point too about all of these dynamics being more subtle than said outright. Just such a stellar show! I did sense that it is very "Parasite"-coded as a black comedy, to me one of the most phenomenal movies ever, so really appreciate you mentioning that earlier in the video too I feel like I am better understanding elements of great film and TV that I appreciate the most!!!

One of the best video essays I’ve ever listened to, especially with regard to composition, flow, actual analysis (as opposed to almost precisely just narrating the events without much added insight, either personal OR research-backed), and cross-topic relevance. Really thoughtfully crafted and stunningly executed. First video I’ve watched of yours, but I’m subscribing. And I have never even watched nor had any ounce of desire to watch Survivor or any reality television, but you tied it in to your overarching points and the themes and characters of White Lotus so elegantly. Ok, insomnia here. As an addict, I really like Armond character. He repress himself and disapear behind a mask to do his job. That's easy to lose your sense of self and get nut long term. But then, he is also an addict, which is super important because addiction and staying sober under bad conditions is painful as hell, so that is why his storyline is not that over the top and he is really a good person acting like shit at some point, like most addicts . He also had to repress this destructive force sleeping inside of him, which is like a ticking bomb. It is really realistic that he relapses at some point and went rogue. The psychology is right: an addict forgetting himself will become a neurotic pressure-cooker grinding his teeth that would pop anything he comes across, delivering him of his misery. The more he is repressed, the craziest he will act when relieved, until you don't care about your life or job anymore and just want to watch the world burn.

This show was made so much better by the actors and how they all fit their roles SO perfectly. Loved this vid and especially how you related it to survivor at the beginning, you can really see how the survivor experience affected the show's creator. Lastly this show just felt so gay and this vid would not be the same presented by a not gay. Nice.
