- This 1993 Ford F150 has been sitting for 12 years, and were going to see if we can get it run after all years. The biggest problem is that the engine is stuck. It has the 300 straight six under hood.

As you get older you will realize you learn the most when things don’t go as planned. Keep up the good attitude and move forward. You will learn what you need to know.
i do hope a part 2 comes i would love to hear that 4.9 come to life
Get a jack and jack stands, jack the front up, secure with stands, confirm secure, get underneath and put ratchet on crank, put top 1/2 of jack bar on ratchet. One hold ratchet in place, the other use increased leverage to turn crank over and over maybe three times, refill cylinders with pbblaster. Charge battery, confirm you are putting positive to positive and negative to negative. Get remote starter. See what happens. If no go test voltage at battery, relay, starter, alternator. Good luck.
We had an old SBC in 66wagon stuck. We pulled into old timely station with grease pot lubed cyls and stuck a breaker on crank bolt......let it set worked back forth a week and got it to run...pit was wondeful
I noticed u turned that key without disconnecting the fuel system, that gas is pure varnish n will clog the fuel injection systen
did you try jumping the starter solenoid on the left fender fire wall, follow the red cable, use a screwdriver and a glove to jump the poles to bypass it or get a new one is the proper thing to do,lol
I will have to try that, thanks
These trucks came with a side post battery that’s why the positive and ground are so short
top post* ford never used side post
Just discovered your channel! Great stuff! You remind of me when I was younger! Keep up the great work buddy! I look forward to watching more! 😊
Thanks
Like the other guy said use a screwdriver on the starter solenoid (just look up a replacement vid if you aren’t sure where it is) and bridge both metal threaded ends which will bypass what sounds to be a bad solenoid and when it turns over just make sure the key is in the run position because it’s easy to forget… also the reason the second battery didn’t work is because you left the plastic cap on one of the terminals lol and the negative terminal was too loose and the battery might not have had enough power combined with that so there’s a start, also make sure to listen behind the cab at the front of the bed of the truck for the fuel pump to prime (when you turn the key to the run position) but if it doesn’t make a buzz at all the fuel pump is most likely rusted and fuel is bad but you can run it off starting fluid or brake clean for a couple seconds to establish it runs and then get a new fuel pump. hope this helps
Thanks it did help!
Honestly it sounded like the starter is either gettin bound up & not fully engaging or you dont have enough juice to for the starter to fully engage,i know that starter sound VERY well. (my step dad is a 45 year lisenced mechanic.) try those 2 things in another video?
Thanks I will
Great effort and determination, one thing you can try is to remove the surpentine belt, I am not familiar with this model how to do it, this info can be found on Ford truck forums etc. I suggest this because an accessory such as alternator, water pump or even the idler pulleys, the tensioner itself could be seized. This makes the engine itself appear to be stuck. Work with this first and I can help you from there.
Cool, thanks
I think maybe remove the head and see if the piston rods and springs aren't stiff? I've seen several youtubers do that if the Engine is stuck. Interesting video, I can't wait to see what you guys will do next.
Thanks for the tip
Good Ol' FERD F ONE FIDDY
It's got a bad starter it's not locked up take the cover off for the transmissions at and use a screwdriver and turn the flywheel😊 it'll turn the engine over easier done with the front bolt
Thanks I will try that
you boys give up too easy
need to call somebody and ask him how to hook it up to 2 4. v o l t s
