The funny thing is that some of three member bands had made a wall of sound like RUSH too, but it also means that everyone is busy all the time. When I fortunately had the chanche to be in a consert by RUSH, I was amazed mostly because they could pull it all out with just three men, but when you actually see them making this all with your own eyes and nothing else, it is weird. They were tuned down a bit too much for my taste, but some of the proge fans aren't so much friends with heavy metal so there is that. Muse beeing from a different time has in some sense some elements closer to a proggressive music, but also with heavier sound. Allthough 'Animate' from the RUSH's album Counterparts is quite heavy too and Neil Peart was a ridicilously good drummer using all kind of percussion instruments and not just drums and they had these weird time signatures. All bands who just sound like them and anything other are the best ones ever. Muse is one of them too.
I've been a Muse fan for a decade and a half and have seen them perform around 20 times. Their performances never get old and I always tell everyone that has never seen them perform live to be prepared for Muse to ruin all concerts for them from there on out, haha. They are absolutely magical live. Have fun!
The best part of this video, is Dom (the drummers) face all scrunched up whenever he is working the double kick. It kills me everytime. Once you see it, it cannot be unseen!
I've seen Muse live 4 or 5 times and they are by far the best band I've ever seen, although I'm biased because they're 100% my favourite band! Great react video dude, much love from the UK!
Omgosh!!! I freakin love you. I LOVE watching your reaction to this song. It was like watching your child learn something new for their 1st time and watching their joy!!! KoBK is definitely one of their best songs. Muse is the absolute best. Welcome to their world. 🤘🏼
Can’t believe this is your first Muse song! They have a library that spans so many genres. If you love this one you will have to react to “Stockholm Syndrome” and then “Hysteria”! Just subscribed and can’t wait for you to experience those ones
I've had the amazing opportunity to see Muse live twice. (2nd Law and Drones) Both were in smaller venues. They are the most electric band I've ever seen live. Totally immersive experience. I'd love to see them in one of these massive arenas.
I saw them for the simulation theory tour at a large arena and even though i was further away than I would in a smaller venue, the sheer spectacle of the light show and the performance was way worth it!
I saw them in the Resistance stadium tour and even beyond the music (which was stellar), the whole thing was absolutely nuts. Will never forget that giant flying UFO with an alien dancer for Exogenesis...
Great reaction, I have seen them live so many times and they never disappoint ! they must be seen live to get the full experience so I am really excited for you to see them! have a great time. this song feels like it has a mixture of all the greatest bits of Muse from the past albums thrown beautifully into the one song, definite sounds of Bliss and other songs from Origin of Symmetry and I love it 😃
You're going to love their show. I was a casual fan but heard they put on an amazing show so I finally saw them and haven't missed a tour since, and every person I've taken has been immediately converted. Incredible show, incredible production.
Other must watch Muse songs: Reapers (Live @ Koln), Muscle Museum (LIVE ON THE 10.30 SLOT 1999), Uno (London Astoria 2000), The Handler (Live at Napa, California 2018), New Born (Live from Wembley Stadium), Wont stand down (music video), Plug in Baby (Live at Rome Olympic Stadium), Stockholm Syndrome (ive from Stade de France, Paris 2010), Knights of Cydonia (Live at Rome Olympic Stadium), Citizen Erased (Glastonbury 2004) - Should get you going!
as a decade long fan now, my favourite song is and remains Citizen Erased, their all-time prog masterpiece. Kill or Be Killed is Top 10 material though, it has certainly upended my ranking-
Muse is my favorite band. They're all very talented musicians, and their compositions are beautiful. I have to make a choice of just one, it'll be the entire Exogenisis Symphony, because I feel they're a whole piece.
When I first fell in love with Muse, it was with Apocalypse Please and with Butterflies and Hurricanes. Unlike anything I had heard til that point, and they transported me. God, so good!! That was 15 years ago, and they continue to be one of my all-time favorite bands. Map of the Problematique and Take a Bow as well 😍 I could recommend so many though.
Loved your reaction! They are definitely the best live band I’ve ever seen, I’m sure you’ll have a great time. All time favourite Muse song is difficult to pick, but probably Citizen Erased (shared with many fans I know). I last saw them in May, a few weeks before they debuted this song live. Can’t wait for them to tour the new album when it’s released. By the way, yes they are a three piece band, but when they play live they do have someone playing keyboards, backup vocals and, occasionally guitar when Matt performs songs such as Starlight.
Enjoy yourself when you see them live. They are one of the very best live bands. One of the last great live shows. Ive been lucky to see the 8 times over the years. Ive seen them through all there "eras" from 2003 onwards. Each show could easily be the best live show ive seen. Enjoy my friend
You are gonna have a blast seeing them live! I've seen them live twice and always kick myself for not having gone sooner. You should check out Knights of Cydonia from them!
lol what are you talking about? Muse consistently use backing tracks. They use backing track synths, strings, vocals and even guitars. Unless you're implying that the one extra musician is playing all of those at once
@@dsxndoval So he plays guitar, piano and strings at the same time? Not to mention that he must have 10 pairs of vocal cords to sing several harmonies at once
@@dsxndoval Mate, are you daft? It doesn't matter how fast Morgan (or Dan) can switch instruments, he isn't playing synths and piano and guitar at the same time. And Matt, Chris and Morgan/Dan are three voices, how are you suggesting that they can sing vocal harmonies that have over 10 different voices in them?
im also gonna see them at aftershock this october. when i saw they were the new headliners, i was so excited because theyve been one of my favs for years! also my fav muse song is animals off the 2nd law. probably not a super popular one but i just love it
Bro this was awesome reaction video haha. You gotta listen to their other great heavy songs like Stockholm Syndrome, Hysteria, Dead Star, Assassin, The Handler
Just wanna say, while they are a 3 piece band, not sure about this one but they usually have a keyboard player to do the keyboards, I believe his name is morgan nicholls
@@FischtankProductionsOkay, then my suggestion would be: Muse - Crying shame. Since everybody will write a general top tier list of hits, then I will suggest a song for which there has not yet been a reaction.

No backing tracks with Muse!! :-) for many years (18) Morgan Nicholls has been key, he doesn't get alot of credit but he should, he's not on the new WOTP tour however there is another '4th' member
I liked this video a lot! As an early Muse fan I'm stoked too to hear how their rock evolved and this track is absolutely ace. I've started listening to them since Origin Of Simmetry and saw them live first time in 2002. Unfortunately, they've also produced some "questionable" tunes through the years which kinda ruined the feeling I used to have for them. Enjoy them at the concert mate :)
If you dive in to Muse, when they get a song right they get it RIGHT. But they have the tendency to produce absolute rubbish in between all the greatness
Too much pausing, and for too long each time. Nobody can react genuinely to a song they've only heard cut up into 10-second segments across the span of 10 minutes, you just don't get the same feel of it. I get it, RUclips blocks/demonetizes this stuff. But there's ways around it that don't involve this level of pausing. Even skipping is better. Chatting about it can happen after. RUclips recently came out and said ALL reaction content is going to be demonetized soon anyway, so at this point it's like... why not just respect the viewer (and yourself, most importantly) and make it fun to watch? You're not getting a dime from it either way, lol.
