OMG I can't agree more with you on L'Autre Oud! I have both oud bouquet and L'autre oud in the old bottle and I have to say I even enjoy L'Autre a tiny bit more, and that is really something considering how much I love Oud Bouquet. It's criminally underrated and I don't know why no one mentions it. For me it really is a masterpiece for the rose-oud combination, there are many out there but most of the ones I tried take the sweet, thick and even animalic approach. This one for me, on the other hand, features a dry, a tiny bit incensy rose and dry, elegant oud. The whole vibe is still very much a potent (very potent) sweet rose-oud, with a lot of body to the scent but at the same time airy and crisp. It's amazing! I highly recommend anyone who loves rose or rose-oud combinations to try this out and hope you love it as much as I do.
P/s: if it's of any help, the rose in L'Autre Oud has a similar (not exactly the same) vibe as the dry and airy, crisp rose in Nirvana Rose - Elizabeth&James which I also love so much.

Yes, to doing your presentation of what masterpieces you admire and have you done a video of fragrances that transform you? Say take you from somewhat sad to feeling joy or peace or the opposite, that promote a pep in your step. Fragrances that make eyes roll and beguile for you, the kind that are so utterly good almost sinful to share :)

I just about ran off the road when you mentioned Sahara Noir! I’ve been looking for a bottle of that for years!!!! Discontinued and broke me heart. There is one other dupe I may have to consider because it was such a “me” fragrance
I can't confirm if it smells like the original, but I think you'd love the Dua version regardless. It's a very "Chris winter" scent. What's the other one?

Happy Sunday Veronica. Wow, we must be sharing the same moon or sun or something. I gifted the Rare Tiffany to a girlfriend for her birthday, I just picked up two of the Carolina Herrera’s and although I have all of the other Elizabeth and James I didn’t pull the trigger on the French Grey. I think all of the awards were well perfect and I’ll be investigating a few.

I was so excited to get Rare Tiffany. I am looking for that perfect ginger and couldn't wait to get it. The moment I sprayed it i could get that awful rancid smell of old flower water. The smell you get when you get an old bouquet out of the vase and the water has started to become its own eco system. It lasts just a few moments, not more than 2 minutes, but it is so strong, that it makes my eyes water. Has my bottle gone off, or is it my nose?
Oh my goodness!! I know exactly the smell you are talking about and I have gotten that from other fragrances before. Sounds like something is off. I don't get that at all (not even the opening) with Rare Tiffany. I'm sorry to hear this!

Later edit: I tried my bottle again. About 2 months after initial spray, and the stink I gone! I am so happy. Yes... This is a gem!

A video I’m always waiting to see! 🙂 I like to pair Hanami with a vanilla such as Vanilla 28 or Vanille Coco by Comptoir Sud Pacific. It gives me Santal vanille (7 Virtues) vibes. I do the same pairings with Cocoa Woods by Nest. Both very nice fall scent profiles. Have a great week beautiful! 😘

I purchased the OG BV Knot years ago. It never lasted on me even sprayed on clothes. It's now being used as an air freshener to use it up. Nice scent, but....I do like the Knot bottle.
Oh no! 😂 Not air freshener? I debated purchasing the OG for the longest. The Absolue doesn't last forever either - maybe half a day. Not too bad.

The cap was super cheesy; I would have switched it out as I usually do, had I liked the scent.

Oh my gosh!! Loved hearing about some things I have no experience with but also.. .some of my absolute faves here. Tom Ford Sahara Noir (RIP) is one of my top 10, and I have been on a blueberry kick, so loving the Brittany Spears (and what a bargain). Just today I was wondering if there is a perfume that smells like Rainbath, a favorite of mine and my sister’s. Thank you!!
